I am living in Carlton Club Apartment. On their website, they claim that one can get $250 reward if one signs the lease. After I moved in, I wait for 3 months and no result. Then I start complaining, and after waiting for another one month, they told me that since I have got the first month free reward, I cannot get the $250 reward.
They showed me the contract, and it is written as "the $250 reward cannot be combined with other reward program" But the fact is when I did the application, I double checked that point with customer service! I asked him whether I can get both first month free and $250 reward, and he said YES without any hesitation. I just feel cheated, and they even claim that they do not think their customer service did anything wrong, it is my responsibility to read and understand the contract!
Firstly, it is like telling you one thing and asking you to sign the contract for another thing. Also, should be there is any clear definition for "reward program" showing up in the contract? According to what customer service told me, I thought the first month free stuff is not a reward program...
So I want to complain two issues on Carlton Club Apartment: 1. Customer service cheated on me when I did the application. 2. Unclear term in the contract.
Never believe what their customer sevice tells you! And they will put your report away until you make a report everyday!
