Doesn't Pay Yet Very Demanding
I totally agree with the previously stated comments from fellow ex associates. Not only is this company very demanding and expect for you to do everything when and at the time they say for you to do it, but when it comes time to you getting paid for your hard earned money, there isn't any. (At least 'til they feel like paying you.) I worked for this company for 4 years and every year things just got worse. It went from "Oh, we'll send out a paper check rather than direct deposit your money tomorrow..." to "Oh, we haven't sent anything out yet, so just please bear with us.." They blame everyone that they service for not paying them on time, there are other companies out there who offer the same types of services and who in contract with the same as this company, yet they are ABLE to pay their tutors on time. If you're gonna apply for a job here, it is going to be the biggest mistake of your life. You will work so hard and expect to receive your money on time but it never will. Out of the possible 9 pay periods that you may have by working with them since the beginning of the school year, which at orientation they make it seem as a plus if you have direct deposit because your money will be there on payday morning, maybe only about 5 will be paid on time. Of course, not counting on the fact that your bank or their actual bank might refuse to cash your check because of previous insufficient funds history. So, in the end, you will get alot of headaches with no actual thanks for your hard work. Work with this company at your own risk. :)

Doesn't pay Employees and he gets paid
Carney is a horrible company to work for. I have worked as a teacher and tutor for over 5 years and in the past year Carney has lied, cheated employees and students I tutor. Paying us late or bouncing checks has unfortunately become normal to us and the banks we go to refuse to cash the checks because of how many he's bounced. The worst part is that he gets paid by the districts for the work that we do and promises my students who are poor, backpacks full of school supplies and none of my families from last year or this have ever seen them. Where is the money going Carney? The kids in the after school programs don't have supplies and as teachers they ask us to go out and buy what they should be supplying when we are not being paid or reimbursed. Carney is a company that should not be in business because they say they care about the students, how can they when the students never get what they are promised.
