My name is Dewey Sides, I've been on three cruise's in the past 7 years, all of them with Carnival. this is the first time I have any complaints. the last cruise was on the Carnival Conquest leaving from Glaveston, Texas on the 12th of Sept. my booking information is 8258, 87N5B8, 830020446.
My complaint is the way my luggage was taken care of when it arrived to our suite. It was in bad shape, as the back side was ripped and the luggage was almost completely open from the front. I took it to guest services for them to take a look as there was no way I could get it zipped enough to stay closed when departing. I strapped a belt around it and handled the luggage myself when debarking. this was part of a three piece an it was the only one to get damaged. I was told to try to get it repaired, this could not be done. I've not bought an replacement, but I'm going to have to get it replaced. My question for you is, since I can not find just this one piece of luggage without getting the set, as it was the largest of the three pieces. the brand was Traveller'.
The replacement ogf the set is $ 209.00, I would put a value of this one large piece at $109 new, I've had the set for two years and used it 4 times. I'm not asking you to replace full value, but I do think Carnival should do something.
This is my complaint and I hope you will consider what I'm asking.
