I brought my watch to the merchant, Carole's Corner in Northport, Long Island, New York to have the watch sized. The watch was working perfectly when I brought it in. For a reason unknown to anyone, the Merchant took the entire watch apart when there was absolutely no reason to do so.
When I picked up the watch from the store, I was told the watch had stopped working. Carole’s Corner changed the battery to try to make the watch work but the watch still didn't operate.
The watch was working when I left it at the jewelry store and
They had no authority to open the watch, and no permission to change a battery.
Since then, I brought the watch to a expert repair center (Tourneau) who advised me that Carole's Corner was negligent in that it was unnecessary for her to take the watch apart to size it and doing so made the watch stop functioning.
Carole's Corner refuses to take responsibility for the damage and refuses to return my payment. I had been doing a lot of business with them in the past and very surprised at this attitude. As soon as there's a problem they became antagonistic and nasty.
