Too short & unsafe!
I am a 47-year-old woman from Detroit and I took my 18-year-old daughter on this cruise. We departed from Palm Beach on Day 1 at 5:00pm. This was my first cruise and I was looking forward to all the wonderful food. Dinner served at 6pm was good, however the servings were very small and I had to keep asking for more and had long wait times, since the wait staff is inadequate for the amount of passengers. Later that night there was a free "pasta bar" available for the passengers for free, however the quality was that of a cheap all-you-can-eat buffet... one I would not eat at. They had a beautiful dessert bar which THEY CHARGED FOR...and it was not cheap...$5.00 for a slice of cheesecake... no, I never bought anything. Breakfast the next morning was cheap hotel buffet food...nothing special. Day 2 my daughter and I payed $200.00 to leave the ship and spend the day at the wonderful OUR LUCAYA RESORT which is wonderful! We were taken by bus to the resort, given a paper wrist band, like a cheap bar, given a towel and another cafeteria quality lunch from 10am-4pm. We were not treated like a hotel guest, but like a visitor who should be grateful to be allowed on the beach for the day. I would like to return again to the resort, as a guest. Back at the boat to set sail by 5pm, another cafeteria dinner. We had to make it an early night because we had to get off the boat by 9am the next morning. Crappy Cruise. When my daughter was harassed on board by a group of 18-year-old boys, other male passengers had to get them to stop, because the cruise ship has no security to keep their passengers safe! I thanked God when my daughter and I got off safely, after being harassed going through customs. The agents tried to intimidate me into paying them off to get through customs. Please, never trust yourself or your family to this cruise company. I included a photo of our boat, Bahamas Celebration. If you see this boat RUN AWAY!!!

scam
If anyone reads this, I am writing this to save others from having to go through a crappy and expensive experience.

Carribean Cruise Lines is basically a scam to get the most money out of you through lying and totally unethical behavior. They tout this "trip and cruise" to Florida and the Bahamas, but they do not tell you the truth, only whatever it is you want to hear so you'll pay for the trip. Taking their vacation was the worst I've had, and I am still paying for it. Our trip was Ft. Lauderdale, then Cruise to Bahamas, then Orlando. They told me on the phone before I purchased there would be no time-share presentation.

Here is how it played out: First, you have to sit through their time-share presentations for 4 hours each, at the beginning and end of your trip. It will take up your entire day as they try to wear you down into purchasing their time shares in Florida. The hotel they have you stay in is basically a roach coach type of place. Filthy, depressing and run down. Then you spend a 1/2 day just getting to the cruise ship port and boarding. The moment you arrive they start high pressure sales pitch to get you to go to their Lucaya resort on the Grand Bahama island. They have it on the T.V. in your room, every hour they loudly pipe it through the loudspeaker and you cannot turn the volume down. They give you no information or assistance to go anywhere else on the island, and tell you the taxi drivers will just overcharge you and basically steal your money (which is exactly what CCL is doing- hah!) The only one thing positive I can say is the lodgings and food on the ship are nice -- but not worth all the hidden fees and costs). TodayI found out that when I used the internet while at Port in the Bahamas to find an alternate beach to visit the day we were there, the cruise ship charged me $380.00. Yep, that is right. Did they inform us that instead of $0.05 per megabite of data which is normal charge, they were going to charge over $20.00 per megabite? NO!

Everywhere we turned, we had to stand in line, wait for vouchers, wait for our room, wait, wait, wait. Drive here, now drive there, and now over here.

The food at the hotel (which was included in the package) was the worst food I think I've ever come across in my life. It is worse than the worst cafeteria food or hospital food. I think it was all fake food, made with chemicals and fillers.

If you want to feel like you are waiting forever at a place with workers who are constantly lying through their teeth to you, eating food that is at best just fattening and empty calories and at worst toxic, and getting nickel and dimes to death, then go on their "free cruise" or whichever package they are trying to sell you, but I warned you. BELIEVE ME, IT IS NOT WORTH THE AGONY.
