My girlfriend had run over a nail on the passenger rear tire and it needed to be replaced. I brought the car to Cary Used Tires and was greeted and was told they could replace the tire with a used tire for $32.00 which I agreed to and the tire was (supposedly) changed and I left the shop. I should have checked the tire to make sure the job was done correctly but I was in a hurry and it slipped my mind. Two days later my girlfriend let me know that the same tire with the same nail was still on the vehicle. I arrived early at Cary Used Tires the following Saturday morning to notice that they were busy as usual. I was greeted again promptly, but this time - since I pointed out that the job had not been done correctly and that they possibly changed the wrong tire (if they changed anything on the car) I was told to wait. I waited... 1 hour went by - a mechanic addressed the situation and asked if I had spoken to the owner (which I had), he disappeared into the garage. The owner once again came out and told me to sit tight...which I did for another hour. All the while people are coming and going... people who had arrived AFTER I had were being serviced. The mechanic from the garage finally appeared again and informed me that they had no more tires that would fit my girlfriend's car. (The car is a Chevy Cobalt - this tire size is the MOST common tire on the market). So, after waiting 2 hours - being pushed aside for other NEW customers to be serviced - now they tell me I have to come back Monday. I informed them that I will not come back Monday and asked for my money back. At this point the owner (in front of other customers) began to threaten me and told me to get off of his property... is this guy nuts?!? First he rips me off and then wants to throw me off his property for asking for my money back?!? This obviously escalated to more threats towards me and I called the police. When the police arrived they instructed me to leave the property because he had yelled it to me 3 times... even though he had ripped me off - took my money - and had not fixed a damn thing. This kind of practice is all too common with 'scam shops'... do not do business with Cary Used Tires. Pass it on.
