Received a call the other day from 052-562-557 (does not exist), from a middle eastern accented man who stated that I had a payday loan and did not pay it back. So he wanted 675.00 to pay back the 500.00 loan I supposedly took out. I told him to give me proof, as I have never had any loans I have not paid back. He stated he is going to sue me, press charges, start warrants, etc., the whole nine yards, and then became angry when I questioned him. I hung up the phone and he said I would hear from his legal department. I never heard a thing, however, a week later I got another call from another middle eastern accented man, who said his name was Devon Watson (!), and I needed to send a western union to the following address in order to pay off the loan: GUADALUPE MUNOZ, at San Antonio TX. No account number, no name of the company I borrowed the money from, nothing! But they have all our correct information on banking and ssn's. The number I was meant to call back when I made the transfers is (347) 620-6110. That is a New York number that no one answers. Please call it. As many times as you like. Goes directly to an answering machine. This is an obvious scam and don't fall for it. I am going to wait to see what happens, but I will probably have to change all our banking information and get some sort of identity protection service now.
