This company called me on 3/16/09 and said that I was selected because of my good credit with my credit card ending in last four digits. I was driving at the time, but they had my name, address, phone # obviously, and the last 4 of one of my cc. I thought they were affiliated with my credit card. They said they wanted to send me $100 gift card just for reviewing their cash rewards and auto rewards program. Thinking it was from my cc, I said ok. Then they put another guy on and he started telling me about the terms and conditions which started making me reluctant. I agreed to most about cancelling the program when it started sounding a lot like the Acai Berry scam I had gotten myself into back in October. Anyhow, I was driving. I got off the phone and started feeling uneasy. I checked my credit cards and didn't have any current that were with those last 4. I went home and it was the credit card that I had to cancel from the Acai Berry scam. So how on earth would I have had good credit from that card when it's been cancelled for the last 5 months. Fortunately since the card has been cancelled, I'm not out any money, but it makes me angry that the one scam is now perpetuating more scams.
Anyhow, I was able to get through and get cancellation numbers from (866) 335-7377. If you type this phone # in or (866) 335-2457 into the Better Business Bureau's website, they received an "F" rating. It shows their address as PO Box 280159, Tampa, FL 33682-0159. Looks like they have multiple websites:
cashrewardsconnection.net, cashrewardsjunction.com, consumerautorewards.com, cashrewardscentral.com
Good grief!
