My name is Ronald R. Bryant. My contact phone numbers are (H) 707-426-4114 & (C) 707-246-5352. On 05/01/2011, I contacted Castle Luxury Auto Shippers, Inc, and consumated an auto transport contract with them. The person I was speaking with gave a first name of Randy. As part of consumating this contract, I was asked to give a deposit of $150, which I did, via my Visa debit card. It was explained to me that the $150 was needed to assist the transporting driver with initial fuel costs. Also, I was acting with the permission of my son and on his behalf. My son's car was to be transported from Stockton, CA to Litchfield, IL. On 05/04/2011, I sent an e-mail inquiry as to the status of my contract; asking when the car would be picked up. I, as of this date, have not received any response from anyone from this company. On 05/05/2011, I called and spoke with Randy again. He advised that the transporting driver, un-named, will call me on 05/06/2011 between the hours of 2pm-6pm to make the arrangements for pick-up, transporting, and delivery of my son's car. To this date and time, the driver or a driver has not been in contact with me. As of this complaint, 05/09/2011, I have tried six (6) times attempting by phone to contact someone, anyone at this company. As of this complaint, no one answers the phone. A recording comes on that indicates the call is being transferred to the company offices and to leave a message. In the meantime, the company has debited by checking account for $150.00. I am a retired CA Peace Officer with almost 29 years of service. I learned early on in my career that it is of the utmost importance that an officer is dependable, reliable, truthful, and trustworthy. In my opinion, this company has not lived up to any of those very important characteristics.
I submit this information as a formal complaint against Castle Luxury Auto Shippers, Inc. I am looking forward to a response from you in reference to this matter.
