Does not work
As a dentist I can tell you that there is no bleaching product on the market today, whether done in office by a dentist or at home by a consumer with either custom bleaching trays or whitening strips or any toothpaste for that matter, that will whiten both enamel and porcelain veneers or crowns or tooth-colored bonded restorations. The after photos of Cathy's teeth show all of her natural enamel teeth whitened as well as the several porcelain crowns she has on some of her posterior teeth. This cannot be possible unless those old, yellow-looking crowns were replaced with newer, whiter ones. Dentists tell their patients that if you want to whiten your teeth by bleaching, the best candidate is one who had no tooth-colored restorations that show or who has no porcelain crowns or veneers that show either as these will absoulutely not whiten through any bleaching product or process. Most dentists tell their patients that if they want the "Hollywood" smile these tooth-colored restorations or porcelain crowns or veneers must be redone after the bleaching process in order to properly match the shade of the newly whitened enamel. If this is not done, the discrepancy between the whitened enamel and the old tooth-colored restoration or porcelain crown or veneer can be glaring. Whitening today is in vogue and it certainly is a cosmetic procedure that many patients are interested in, but unless you have never had a porcelain crown or veneer or tooth-colored restoration, those who have had such restorations or porcelain crowns or veneers face the possiblity of having to have them redone in order to guarantee the most optimal results. Thus, be wary of the after photos of Cathy's teeth showing BOTH the natural enamel and the posterior crowns whitened to the same shade. Unless those original crowns on her posterior teeth were redone, those after photos have been digitally altered to reflect a cosmetic impossibility.
