Bought a netbook from them on sale.
Was supposed to come with an 8g sd card.
They did not give me one.
I went back and was given one out of a display computer.
That SD card was faulty. Went back again and was flat out told they had no mmore 8g sd cards and I should contact the manufacturer as it was there faulty product not cdcs.
Remember this card was pulled out of a display computer for me.
I started getting BSOD on windows and my netbook eventually would not boot up or even go to safe mode.
I contacted them again about this and they told me they would have to charge me to look at it and if I wanted to reinstall windows it would be $120.
I said no and after dealing with a few different people I managed to get the recovery discs that were not given to me when I first purchased it.
While low and behold the recovery discs are the wrong ones and I still can not get the laptop to work.
On top of that I have come to find that the reason for the problems is because of faulty hardware.
All this happened with in the first 3 weeks of purchase.
They claim to offer a 90 day warranty in depot but refused to help me every step of the way and only offered to do something for me if I was willing to pay.
Any other problems and I was always diverted to the manufacturer.
The most comical part about this all was everytime I had gone into CDC someone else was in there trying to return something or get them to honor their warranty and everytime the CDC employees were trying to upsell them something as opposed to honoring their warrantys.
That is my first last and only experience with CDC. I would not recommend them to anyone and am not surprised to see I am not the first person to leave a complaint about them here.
the thing that pissed me off the most was the salesperson I had dealt with had the nerve to tell me "sorry bud unlucky break"
