I saw an ad for Ceiva Digital Frames online advertising frames with a one year membership for Father's day. On that website Best Buy was listed as a retailer. When I called the customer service number and asked info about the frame, hookup, etc. I also asked for details on shipping. Since it was too late to get delivery by Father's day, I told the representative that I would look at the local Best Buy first. After purchasing at Best Buy and setting up my account, I find that I only have 3 months membership. Customer service now tells me that the free membership is only for the products purchased online...
The cost was the same online and at Best Buy... I now have to pay ~$30 to get expedited shipping for the online product with year long membership or I have to pay an extra $99 to get the yearlong membership. Customer service at Cevia was not willing to extend the membership, which suggests that their warranty and customer service help in case of a defect is probably also not very good.
