Unsolicited phone calls
Today I received a call on my cell phone from a lady who works for Cell C. There was so much background noise that I could not hear her name. This is not the first time that Cell C has called to offer me a free phone - only problem is that this is a lie - it is not a free phone, i is subject to a 24 month contract. Well, I don't need a contract, I have a perfectly good one with MTN and don't see any reason to change. When I told the lady that I was not interested and asked her to please put a big note next to my name that I object to calls of this nature, she promptly put the phone down on me - not a good impression of Cell C. Now even if I was looking to change cell phone providers it would not be to Cell C!

I am sick and tired of trying to get a refund
On 23 June 2009 my husband wrongly paid his cellphone account into the bank account of Cell C instead of Altech Autopage. We have sent e-mails, made telephone calls, sent faxes - too many to even keep count of and we still cannot get a refund from Cell C. Now my husband is being handed over by Altech Autopage for his outstanding account! I have a heap of paper with names and numbers of people we have spoken to and my husband even rode all the way to Midrand without any joy. Sometimes we get a name and number and when we phone the next time we are told there is no-one by that name working there! This is past ridiculous - Cell C is quick to take your money but no way, Jose, will they pay you back. We have had more expenses trying to get R816.00 from Cell C that the actual payment of R816.00 itself. Cell C ****s!!! Viva Vodacom!!!

Almost 15 days and not a single response
My wife, in November 2008, had escalated an issue that she was billed incorrectly for a contract that she had not taken. Although that was initially resolved, now 'Cell C' is doing the exact same thing, where the contact has again been changed to Casual Chat as opposed to Weekend Special which my wife had NOT taken. I have logged a call and asked that this be escalated to their managers with NO response from either the call centre or any of their managers. Almost 15 days and not a single response!

Canceled Contract
I cancelled my cell phone contract at the end of March 2010. I notified the company in writing shortly after. For the past two months, I've been calling the customer line in connection with the money that is still being deducted from my bank account. Every time I'm talking to a different agent and every time I'm getting a different reference number. Still they are stealing money from me!!! Help - Is this going to Help??

I am so sick & tired of Cell C
In July 2009 I recvd a call from Cell C and they offered me a cell phone contract which I accepted. The same month I was debited I called them to enquire why.I was told that I was to call another no.I spoke to another lady that advised me it was an insurance amount & that it would be cancelled going forward and that they would reverse the amount.I thought it was cancelled, I was debited again now they have changed their description to email account on my bank statement.
I am so sick of these people because I spoke to them and I was advised it was cancelled now if I go to my bank to put a stop order I'll be charged extra for that.In this life time I can't even afford to be messed around by Cell like this.I called them again and asked them I want to cancel the contract and the lady I spoke to said she will send me a cancellation form which I have been waiting for ever since.

They are constantly pestering people to buy their contracts and the moment you decline they become rude
I was phoned again today by a marketing person from Cell C trying to sell me a cell phone contract. She was very friendly up to the moment I declined the offer. This is not the first time it has happened to me. The moment you decline the offer they just hang up without saying anything. They are constantly pestering people to buy their contracts and the moment you decline they become rude.

Paying for contract that doesn't exist
I had a Cell C contract that ended in March 2009. I gave notice in January 2009 and my contract was terminated. I then ported my number to MTN and from May 2009 I have been on an MTN contract. All of the sudden in July 09 I received an invoice from Cell C, for what I don't know? I then called the call centre and they said my case will be resolved in 48 hours. They gave me this reference: 3370402. Nobody called me back on the 3rd Aug 09 the money went off my account without my permission. I then called the call centre on the 4th Aug 09 and spoke to Charlene. She gave me the following reference: 3445013 and said my case will be resolved in 48 hours. Well guess what that was 4 weeks ago and still no one has resolved my case. I have subsequently received another invoice from Cell C and don't know what I am paying for? I contacted the call centre today and ask what is happening and was transferred 3 times and waited for an hour. Still I have had no luck. I have spoken to the legal department of my bank to find out how Cell C can debit my account without my permission. This is the reason I left Cell C because it is so disorganised and unprofessional.

Banking details changed - still debitted wrong acc
I advised Cell C on the 11.08.09 that my banking details were changing and received a email response from Gerald S Mathebula on the 18.09.09 as confirmation that the details had in fact been changed. The account was changed from a savings to a chq account. I also called Cust Serv twice after that just to confirm as I have had quite a few occations where instructions were given and not followed through.
Surprise, surprise, I receive 3 sms's from Cell C this morning @ 05:30 saying that my account is in arrears and my services will be suspended in 2 days!!! This is unacceptable - not only is my bank going to charge me for the insufficient funds in my savings acc (R66.00) but this could also affect my future credit rating with my bank (Nedbank). By the way, there is more than enough monies in the CHQ account that I had asked them to debit. I want this matter rectified IMMEDIATELY and a letter from Cell C stating that they were in the wrong by debitting the incorrect acc. Also, I want to have them arrange to take the instalment from the CORRECT acc today.
I will definately not be renewing my contract with Cell C when it expires in Dec.

They mislead you when taking out a contract
I took out a contract at the end of July with Cell C Centurion. In store I was assisted buy the manager Jean. Prior to this it took about a week and a half after the contract was approved for me to receive the two cell phones and laptop which was on promotion. Already disatisfied I asked Jean to waive the connection fees of R99 per cell phone. He agreed to cancelling one of them. I was never informed that Cell C had a seperate connection fee of R100 per line. Why would the store charge you some value pack fee of R99 each and then Cell 1 still bills you a R100 connection fee. That is a total admin fee of R199 per phone which is shocking to me.
I queried this with Cell C via the email address: The response I got was sent via SMS saying YOU ARE LIABLE FOR THE CONNECTION fee - No courtesy of a phone call to discuss. The call charges are also extremely high and the friends and family supposed discounted call rates never really works. Furthermore I signed the debit order date to be 25th of every month. the 25 August should have been the payment date but the account was not debited. This is really poor service from cell c & I hope I can cancel.
