Monthly problems
I have been using Cell C for many years now and have now moved over to a contract with them. Much to my disappointment. Every month i have to phone in and speak to their un-trained call centre staff to have my lines activated again. (and this happens after they have confirmed that they have received payment) Then after 2 weeks of usage they cut my lines again. I have the proof of my payments that as gone off by debit order and then they want to tell me that i have not paid. The call centre staff never know what they are doing and forced me to ask to speak to a supervisor, which also could'nt help. The one week their system display that they have received payment and next week it is compleatly the opposite story. I AM HIGHLY DISGUSTED IN THE POOR SERVICE AND ARE CONSIDERING TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT.

Mobile Number Portability
I have ported my number from Cell C to Vodacom on the 01/10/2009. In the meen time Cell C has given my number away to another person on Their NETWORK and therefore can only receive calls from Vodacom and NOT from any other network or Landline (Telkom). I was told only when Cell C can contact the person with my number can they correct the problem. ( I am losing business!! My sales have dropped over R20 000 per month)
I have complained to Cell C and Vodacom nothing has been followed up. I have waited for over a month for Cell C or Vodacom with no response due to Cell C negligence in there porting department.
I would like this Problem sorted out and be compensated for the work I have lost due to their incompetence as my mobile is my only way of communicating to all my customers.

Worst ever Service
Phone was handed in for repairs on the 31st of August 2009.Nearly 9 weeks have past and still no phone. How can one pay for such a bad service. A Nokia Navigater, which since the start of the contract never worked, just to mention 1 of my complaints.

Leave me Alone
I have requested cell c to remove my contact details from their database 3 times now. Every time I get the same lame response "We extend our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and frustration this matter has caused you. We would like to assure you that this is not the norm at Cell C, nor is it the level of service that we aspire to provide.
We can now confirm that an urgent instruction has been sent to all our Sales Channels to remove your details from their data-base. Please note that this process takes about 4weeks max.
Regards,
Nothando

The calls stop for a few days but then start again, sometimes I get 3 or 4 calls a day. LEAVE ME ALONE. I DO NOT WANT YOUR CONTRACTS, SERVICES AR ANYTHING TO DO WITH CELL C. I am and will remain a very satisfied Vodacom customer. Get your act together and remove me from your database.

Shockingly bad service
I recently took out a Cell C contract in May on a Samsung J700, a month later i had problems charging the phone, i went into the Cell C store and was told i needed to wait up to a month if i left my phone for repairs..i desperately agreed because i needed my phone fixed!! about 3 weeks later i receive an sms to collect, the counter clerk hands me my phone and gives me docs to sign, does not explain anything - i go home and surprise, my phone is still not working, the job receipt says 'not repairable'?!? what do i do now - i am stunned.. what now!? you guys need better service this is terrible

Poor service
I am a Red Carpet client with Cell C and have 4 contracts with them for the last 3 years. If I had to relate every instance of poor service I have endured with these ?#@?'s, I would end up with a series longer than the lord of the Rings trilogy.
I receive my bill via E mail every month and for the last 4 months, my statement reflects that my debit orders have gone off as the usually have for the previous 3 years. so you can imagine my surprise when one of their extremely competent consults phoned me and told me that my lines were being suspended immediately due to non payment for, WAIT for it, The last 4 months.
To clarify, Cell C's statements reflect that the account was up to date, but they suspended my lines. If this doesn't make sense to you, then you understand exactly how I felt.
Anyway, I caused a huge scene and they promptly reconnected me and apologized for treating a "Red carpet client" in such an unprofessional manner. I was given an exclusive number to phone for any assistance and assured that the problem would be resolved immediately.
Well, I am still waiting. I tried the exclusive Red carpet number and well, there is just no answer. I thought I had the wrong number, but then, miraculously, after trying all day, someone did answer. She was extremely helpful and tranferred me to someone who could help me. I was not surprised when the line went dead. That deafening silence was better than any service I had ever experienced with Cell C. I put the phone down and burst out laughing. I mean, what else could I do?

Incompetence
Wow, where do I even start? When I upgraded, I got a phone that i had to pay in for, as I wanted a good one. I negotiated with Cell C and paid in a small amount and they were happy and I was happy. I knew that I had C cover on my phone with the contract I had. I did however as them if I needed to take out extra cover, (they have a recording of this)... to which they responded no... you have cover on your package. I was happy. My phone was stolen a few months ago. I had a HUGE dispute with cellC about the fact that they wanted me to pay in over R3000, 00 for a replacement. They said they were willing to halve the pay-in amount... I was not happy as I was told when I asked that I did not need any more cover then I already had. WELL, I eventually got my phone replaced and Cell C said I was good and there was no charge other than the R350, 00 excess. THEN... on the 1st of July, a debit order for CellC went off my bank account for over R3000, 00. I was LIVID. I phoned and after much debating, they said they would organise that I get credited. It would take 3-7 working days. It has now been over 3 weeks, it is the 23rd of July... I still do not have my money back. I have phoned and phoned and phoned. I keep getting told that 'so-and-so' will call you, or 'my system says you have been credited' ... and a bunch of empty promises. My bank account has been overdrawn because of this and I am sitting with between R500, 00 and R600, 00's charges because of other returned debit orders etc. I can't believe the incompetence. I am disgusted, totally and utterly flabberghasted that they can't just fix a mistake... they have had 3 whole weeks... SHOCKING. I am so tired and don't know what to do anymore. I was told this morning again that someone else would call me... nothing yet.

Cell C, 0% Customer Care
My contact with Cell C was a 24 month contract for R39 per month that ended on the 15 May 2009, at the end of May the statement from Cell C showed a charge of R97, 00. When I queried this I was told that my contacted was discounted, & I am now on a month to month contact at a new chage of R115.00 +. Prior to my contract ending i was called by one of their agents & i did inform him i am terminationg this contract. My bill for June 2009 is nearly R200.00 which i refuse to pay. I have promptly cancelled my contract & will never take another with them, instead i have signed up with Nashua Mobile and they are miles ahead of Cell C when it comes to keeping customers happy with their service.
What bugs me is how can they change the terms & conditions of a written & signed contract without fisrtly informing me, what i would like to know, is this legal? is it ethic?
