Deactivating my line without reason
Yesterday morning, while I am in a meeting, Cell C phoned me 3 times, left a voice message on my phone, phoned my husband and also my work land line. When I returned the call wondering what is going on, no one at customer service could tell me what the fuss is all about.

This morning when I needed to make a call I got the message that the number is barred. I phoned customer service to try to find out. Well needless to say after 3 phone calls and a different answer every time why my line has been deactivated (I am asking for a number transfer, my sim card has been loststolen) it is now their system who decided that certain numbers need to be deactivated. They have put it on the system to reactivate my line but do not know when this will happen because their system is slow. This is not the answer I want to hear.

The funniest of it all is that I have 2 contracts with Cell C and according to them both the numbers were deactivated. Unbelievable that the system has decided to deactivate both my numbers.

I am travelling more than a 100 kilometres from home to work and back and my cellphone is my instrument in case of an emergency and thanks to Cell C I cannot use my phone.

No service what so ever
I want to upgrade my phone and renew my contract. Upgrading my phone is a absolute nightmare. I spoke to a Faith who emailed me a list of phones. Finally decided on a phone and THE PHOHE IS OUT OF STOCK! After liasoning with Faith via email for a month + the phone is still not in stock. Every week it is the next week. Aventually Siyabonga phoned me and said i can get a Samsung Galaxy. I asked him if he knows how long it will take for the Nokia to be available, and once again no one new. I took the phone as Siyabonga said it had the same features. Firstly the samsung did not have all the features the nokia had, which Siyabonga said it did. As Murphy is, the next day Faith phones me to inform me the Nokia is now available. I said, well i ordered another phone just yesterday.. so she says that i can cancell that one and order the nokia. Which i did and this is where all the fun began... i changed the phone - or so i thought! after 18 calls on monday i still don't have a phone. Siyabonga phoned after i asked 4 people to email him to phone me. I thanked him very gratefully for phoning me and placing my order on 9310. Followed up today, 10310!

Another pathetic experience with Cell C
How does Cell C manage to consistently provide bad service! I have 4 contracts with them (soon to change), and I needed to cancel 1 of them. After my 2 year contract was completed, I contacted the cancellations department (middle of February) to cancel my contract. I was informed by the consultant that my contract will be cancelled on 26-02, and I will then be on pre-paid. I asked if there was it, and I received confirmation that that was all, and my next statement would be my final, and will only reflect for call charges for February. On 01-03, I was given confirmation that I am now on pre-paid. However, when I got my final statement, I have been billed for subscriptions and other charges for March, when I queried this, I was informed that I did not follow their cancellation policy of 1 months notice, and I will therefore be charged. I told the consultant that I was not informed of this by the cancellation consultant, and therefore should not be liable. If I had known, I would have waited. They now want to charge me for services I am not even receiving. This is just pathetic. Clearly strong values are not Cell C's highest priority. I can't wait to move on from this company.

Non-existent service from Cell C
Purchased a cell c contract for business purposes in beginning Jan. It took Cell C The Glen a week to connect me. I then discovered an audio problem but obviously, it was now too late to give the phone back during the 7 day warranty - due to late connection and being unable to use the phone to discover the problem. I was also experiencing serious problems with not being able to receive or make calls which appeared to be a network problem - no signal. I received the phone back and continued to experience not being able to make or receive calls or sms messages.

Cell C Customer Service is absolutely useless and rude - one of their staff actually told me if I dont like it I can report it to Hello Peter - SO I AM! They have barred line on 2 different occasions, which took them 3 days to sort out - although there was NO APPRENT REASON - and they themselves could not tell me why it was done.
It is almost mid March - my phone was handed in over a week ago and the sim card continues to give me problems. Today, they've once again barred my phone. I have lost so busines! I emailed to inform them to keep the phone, I will cut up the sim card. I wont pay for something I cant use.

Cell C error has given me a bad credit score
Last year I had a really bad experience where Cell C messed up my account with them completely:
- I did not receive my statements at all during this time
- They didn't capture my correct details on their system and causing numerous errors on my acocunt
- They were deducting money off the wrong account.

In the end I took this complaint to head office to demand some assistance with this account. It was during this process that I was told to shut up and listen to the gentleman, who in the end spoke a load of rubbish and admitted that they did not know what was going on with my account.

Infuriated I went straight to the top. They apologised for the problems, errors and poor service. They promised that this would all be corrected and the money I paid for the services would be refunded - fat chance as I am still waiting for this!
In addition my contract would be cancelled on the 5 January 2010. Funny how I ended up getting a bill for February!!!

this month I applied for finance on a car I wanted to get only to be told that I have a negative credit score and that no one will finance me - Cell C blacklisted me for their error!!! Useless...

Still no sms's on any of the phones on my contract
So on Friday my 'elevated support' person dissapeared at 16h30 sharp whilst I was still holding on. Seems the 24 hour service ends sharply at going home time on Friday. On Saturday I managed to send one or two sms's but we are back to square one. No one, not me, my wife or child can send a sms. Completely unreliable service and support. I want OUT of this contract. Cannot carry on like this. The sms part of my 3 phone(s) is very important. ******!

Extremely dissatisfied with service from CellC
I picked up my phone from repairs on13-02-10.The phone looked new.I thought it was fixed.I gave the phone&battery & received a new phone(the screen cover was on, the dents&scratches were gone, a new battery&back cover(back cover I didnt give in)).The phone worked but the mirco SD card reader wasnt reading any cards.On 07-03-10 I went back&spoke to the consultant whom I gave my phone to previously (black male).When he checked he told me the IEM numbers dont match.This was a shock as I picked up the phone thinking everything was fine.The consultant was supposed to check the IME number when the phone arrived&when I picked it up.Cleary somewhere someone messed up&is trying to cover up.The phone is supposed to be tracked by the IME number from the time its sent to the time its picked up.This was not done&an investigation needs to be.I want MY PHONE back in complete working order or I want a new phone&who is responsible.My contract ends next month&I expect this matter to be dealt with urgently as this is not my fault.Im the customer&Im paying CellC for a service.

Contact, but no service, stay away people
Last Friday wrote report on Hello Peter and all I got was notification that matter would be looked into. Nothing happened. Have had my phone for ten days but SIM NOT REGISTERED. Have sent numberous emails to Thabiso as well, contacted call centre many times and all I hear is that my service will be up and running within 24 hours. Thabiso doesn't rreply to my emails. I want to cancel my contract! Is there anyone at CELL C that one can talk to who can actually rectify this matter?

Cell C wont cancel my contract
For the past three months I have been trying to get Cell C to cancel my account. It expired in December.

In December, I sent an email to their customer services at both of the email addresses I found for them stating that I am cancelling the contract. Since then I have received two bills and two debit orders. They are still charging me for the account!

So once again, I emailed and sent them a signed faxed letter stating that I am terminating my contract with immediate effect. After 3 days I have still not received a response, even after sending a follow up email.

I have contracts with Cell C, MTN and Virgin Mobile. Cell C by far has THE WORST customer service. This is not the first time I've had a problem with Cell C. Over a year ago I had already advised them that I would not be renewing my contract and even though i was paying for a contract I refused to use it. I want nothing to do with this company.

No upgrade 2nd year round because of no stock
I havehad 2 Cell C contracts. My one contract expired last year. I tried upgrading and Cell C could not upgrade because they had no stock of the Nokia E66. My contract was then cancelled after numerous calls to cell c to check for stock. I took up a cheap vodacom contract and still anticipated being able to get the phone on cellc. I have been a customer of cellC for about 8 years now and thats the way i get rewarded.

This year, my 2nd contract is expiring now. Once again i am trying to upgrade to the Nokia E66 and again Cell C cannot upgrade my contract because of NO STOCK!! The first consultant i spoke to 2 weeks ago told me the stock should come end of the week. At the end of the week was told that there is still NO STOCK. Now i speak to 6 different people who have no idea when stock will come. I am told to keep phoning. My question to them - for how long? Should i keep phoning for the next 10 years?? I did make a few calls therafter and still was told no stock.
