We ordered 2 phone plans when called by Cellular Point Phone Company (who apparently sell for Solo) announcing that we had won not just one phone but two. They sent the phones but they were not the colours that we had ordered and the names on the plan were misspelled. We sent them back by mail to Cellular Point within the 30 days buyers' remorse agreement. We had phoned twice to say that we did not want the phones but Solo said that they could not cancel the plan and that we had to do it through Cellular Point, who refused to cancel the phone plan until they were in receipt of the phones. (...Interesting that it is ok to start the contract by verbal agreement over the phone but the company refuses to cancel or end the same contract over the phone). On June 15th we tried again, unsuccessfully to cancel the plan.
On June 17th, 2009, we made a further attempt to cancel by phone. A woman who called herself Banisha acknowledged receiving the returned phones but said that they had not been received until that very day (June 17th, 2009 even though they had been mailed ) which was after the 30 day limit and that she therefore could not cancel the plan. Attempts to cancel the plan were unsuccessful. Finally, Sept. 15th, 2009 a woman in dispatching at Cellular Point in Mississauga said that they had never received the phones, and denied knowing anyone by the name of Banisha, and refused to let me talk with or leave a message for her supervisor "Sam". She hung uup on me when I repeated my request.
We have made many calls and we keep getting the run around. They will not pass us on to superiors.
My feeling is that the company operates in a rather sleazy manner and does everything they can to make it impossible to break the contract.
