stolen blackberry screen
I took my Blackberry Bold in to have the latch on the back of the phone replaced and the screws to the phone tightened and one replaced. Because the screw was missing, the phone would power off and on when moved the wrong way. When I went to pick the phone up I was told that I would have to pay $60 to have the screen on the phone replaced. I told the clerk that there was nothing wrong with the screen and why I had brought the phone in. I was asked by the clerk, "Didn't you drop the phone?" I said, "no" and repeated why the phone had been brought in. I inspected the phone and noticed marking and discoloration that was not on my phone when I took it in to be repaired. I asked to speak with the store manager and while explaining my issue, the clerk barged in the conversation and stated that he was not trying to call me a liar but the screen on the phone was broken. The manager offered to keep the phone and work on figuring out why it wasn't working. The part that I needed services, was not fixed when I spoke to the manager and I pointed that out. He assured me that he would work on figuring out what was wrong with the phone and he also stated that when he saw the phone on the charger the day before, the screen was working. I left the phone at the store and agreed to follow up on the phone in a week. Two weeks later, I called and the clerk answered the phone and informed me that my phone was unable to be repaired and that it was ready to be picked up. When prompted for more information, I was told that the screen wouldn't power on beyond the charging screen and that the circuit borad was damaged. I would advise anyone considering taking you phone to this store for repairs, to think otherwise. They will take your phone, swap out working parts and tell you something else is wrong with your device in order to get more money. BEWARE!!!
