I sent for "trial" in Oct. 2008. Paid $1.95. I did see as i clicked the send bottom (in tiny print) something about sending more and charging xx amount. Received trial, took for approx. 4 days after which it was just tearing my stomach up, so i stopped taking. One evening a couple weeks later, i got a phone call at my home, from one of their reps asking how i liked the product, blah, blah, blah. I told him what it did to my stomach and that i did not want anymore. I actually remember having to tell him twice, because he was not taking no for an answer. I thought that was the end of it. A couple weeks later, here comes another bottle. I emailed and emailed and emailed. IF i got a response, it was offering me $10. off on future bottles, or $15. instant credit saving me a trip to the post office. Not getting what i was asking for which was a REM# they referred to that you had to get from their Customer Care. Then finally, i was getting no response from them at all, which in turn took me over their 30 day return period. So, last night i sent another email (it had been 13 days since their last response) and told them i would be calling today instead of emailing, and that i expected results. Also added a phone call from my daughter (who lives in another state) who called me last night going on, and on about how she ordered this stuff, all these charges on her bank statement, which overdrew her account, how she called them and how rudely she was treated, including being accused of trying to scam THEM, called a liar, and eventually being hung up on. I stopped her at this point, and said wait...i did the same thing. Neither of us knew the other had sent for this "trial". Just that it was supposed to be a good product, so what the heck. She had agreed to try something else at the time of requesting trial, and found she had numerous other charges for what they referred to as on line nutritionist/consultant. She did eventually get back through to them, and the next rep. says there was a note saying she was "black-balled", and they weren't supposed to talk to her. She did finally get to talk with a supervisor, who says once her bottle had reached them (verifying with her delivery confirmation #) she would be refunded. The first rep said they had no record of her, and had not got anything back from her. The next one said they did have record of her return. I think although she says she sent hers back in the 30 day period, she did so without an Rem#, so i can assume she will not be refunded like they said. They also want a 15% restocking fee. The only difference between she and i is, that i atleast still have the pills i can't take, and paid a total of $86.80.
I called them today, asked for my call to be transferred to a supervisor, and he immediately said there was not a supervisor on the floor. He asked my name, which i gave only the first, and then my zip code. He asked if my mailing address was...and i said yes. He then said my program membership had been canceled on such a such date, and i said that i had done it per a phone call much earlier than that, but he showed no record. The funny thing is, is that i happened to write down the date i got phone call asking me about their product, and they mailed out (atleast receipt shows) the very next day. I also asked why i had another charge on my bank statement for $39.95 a couple weeks before the $44.90 charge, and he says it was for the trial bottle, because i did not sent it back within 14 days. No where in there did i see that important tidbit of information. They have this set up to where you are totally at their mercy, with no recourse it seems. I don't know if i have been clear in this matter, because my head is just swimming. All i do know for certain, is these people need to be stopped!!!
