Central Coast Neutraceuticals Reviews

September 22, 2008
Fraudulent Business Practises
My husband ordered a "$1.00" sample of health product from Central Coast Nutraceuticals. His credit card was hit with a charge of $44.85, and another for $39.95 shortly thereafter, for a total of $84.80 in unauthorized charges.

The BBB of Arizona reports 36 complaints against the company so far this year, with the majority of them going unresolved. We have now contacted our attorney, who will be getting back to us today.

If anyone would like to join us in a class action lawsuit to shut down this company, please contact me at [email protected]

We are looking for others who have been scammed by this outfit.

Buyer beware!
I have been reading tons of complaints about this company. A common pitfall among complainants is that they are being charged for extra services or recurring memberships that they had no knowledge of and did not request. It appears almost certain that many consumers are not taking the time to READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

It may seem like a boring waste of time, but it's better to spend 5 minutes perusing this section than to spend weeks disputing 'unauthorized' charges with your bank or credit card company. Often, reading the Terms will reveal to you just how sheisty and scammy these slimy people are!

Many times when you check that little box before placing an order, you're unwittingly agreeing to be fleeced. You may be authorizing all sorts of dubious deeds to be carried out by these unscrupulous people. And trust me, they won't even use Vaseline, if you get my drift. The $1.99 trial you couldn't pass up could quickly become a $94/month headache. For instance, there could be 'piggyback' offers that instantly charge your card exorbitant fees or an agreement to accept a recurring monthly fee (that you'd never consciously agree to) as part of your membership. All this for a glorified, semi-toxic laxative that's never been tested on homo sapiens!

Consumers need to exercise extreme caution when placing orders over the Internet. That's the reason they require you to provide credit card payment information for that so-called 'free trial'. They are hoping and praying that you never read the Terms and that in 14-30 days you'll forget you signed up in the first place. That gives them the green light they need to provide you with all sorts of lovely surprises on your monthly statements.

Here are some tips to avoid being scammed:

1) Be sure to read all the terms and conditions, if you don't agree - don't even think of providing your credit card information!

2) Always get the company's contact information. If they provide only an email address and don't provide a working phone number, it's safe to assume that you'll be buying a one-way ticket to the land of Scam-danavia. Stay away!!

3) Even if you cancel, you may be required to return the product in order to avoid being charged for the first month or to receive your refund. Always be clear on the company's refund/return policy and track everything with signatures!

4) And lastly, if it sounds too good to be true - it usually is.

Take my advice, if you're really dying for a colon cleanse, either eat yourself a triple-bean burrito or call your local proctologist.
