Pure and simply a RIP OFF
For all of you people out there thinking about getting this product...DON'T! Back on 9/26/2008 I recieved an Advertisement on my E-mail for this product. It said free trial just pay $4.95 for shipping and handling! So I responded thinking it was legitimate. My credit card was charged 44.85 for two additional products I never even ordered! This company (if thats what you want to call it) is a place that likes to take advantage of folks good intentions and something needs to be done with them. It's a good thing these people aren't here in my home state!!! I would love to give them an ass woopin they would never forget!!!

Complaint Overcharged & unethical practice
Called to cancel account 9-24-08; gentleman said I could keep product and he would give a $20.00 refund on each product and I would not be billed anything else and I wouldn't have to return the products and wait weeks on the refund and I would NOT be charged anything else. On 9-25-08 refund was posted my my account. On 9-29-08 a charge was made for $38.95. Called numerous times and was always cut off. Finally on 10-6-08 reached a Greg Jeffs who said I should have returned the product. Refused to let me speak to a supervisor.

UNETHICAL PRACTICES
I ordered a free trial of acai pure for the price of shipping of $4.95. Along with this order they sent my hoodiburst gum and hoodiawater for a total of $44.85. Then three week later I was charged another $39.95 for my "free trial". They are a fraudulant company not to be trusted.56b4f

fraudulent charges
Beware...

Their customer service reps are rude!! I just got off the phone with one and she inferred I was stupid for not reading their service agreement at length! I ordered the hoodia product on a 14 day trial and agreed to keep it. I was charged $44.85 for the product and then 3 weeks later I was charged an additional $39.95 for Hoodia water and gum that I did not order. I called and complained (assuming the Hoodia water and gum were enclosed with my shipment as a promo freebie) and they said I did not UNCHECK THE BOX adding these items to my order. Since when do you have to uncheck a box so you will not receive an item!!! I didn't even look at the boxes. Who would have guessed I was ordering additional products!! I too have prepaid legal and will be contacting them.

Unauthorized Charges
Guess you can add me to the list of people ripped off by these guys. You order one trial size items and they add on other items and charge you for it. I went from 4.95 to 44.85. You can't reach them via phone, my e-mail address for them just was returned to me cause it couldn't be delivered.
I will file a compliant w/BBB in their area, I will dispute the charge on my C.C.

PEOPLE..DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM

Unauthorized Charges
Ordered a free trial and received 3 items I did not order and charged $44.95, then when I kept emailing them for a return authoriziation #, they charged me again for $39.95. Unable to reach through their 800 #, message kept saying, "all our reps are busy, or you have reached us after our normal business hours" I called at all times of the day and finally after a week, I was able to talk to someone, she was so rude on the phone I thought this company is a hoax. She basically told me since I didn't return my item in time (which I didn't order in the first place), and I didn't read the fine print, which she said 15% of the people don't, (so they cash in them) I was charged again "per their terms". This is UNBELIEVABLE!! We've all got to do something about this, or else they'll keep scamming innocent people. Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. they are theives!!! Anyone have any suggestions we could all unite together and contact the Attorney General's office or something?

Unauthorized billing
Acai-pure.com... what a scam and nightmare, ordered a free trial offer for only $4.95, and was billed $45.00 on my credit card. I called up the company, it took me 30+ mins to get someone live to talk to, I tried canceling the order since it was not yet shipped and get my money refunded, I could not get anyone to do any thing about it. The only solution was to cancel my credit card.

After I was done ordering the free trial offer, I clicked on two other products, just being curious to see what they were, and that too was applied to my credit card, which i never ordered.

With their product being endorsed and rated #1 superfood on Oprah, I thought that would be a validity for trying it, and not scamming consumers out of their hard earned money. I don't think Oprah knows that they are scamming consumers, I'll give her a heads up.

Scam charges
I too have fallen victim to this company as many others have. They clearly are not truthful in any way, shape or form. On Sept 20th I ordered the 14 day FREE trial of Acai-Pure. I was only to pay $4.95 After placing my order I did a more extensive search of this product as I was very interested in the initial claims.

I was horrified to learn of the fraud and deceptive practices of this company so I immediately sent an email asking them to please cancel my order. Less then 48 hours later I checked my bank account. Lo and behold there was a charge on there for $44.85! I was horrified, Ya know that pit of the stomach OMG feeling? Yep... That's what I had and still do.

I called the bank ASAP and was instructed to call the company before going through my bank claims dept. Soon as I hung up with the bank I called Central Coast Nutraceuticals. After numerous times I finally got through to a live person. Her name was Jessie, I explained situation and she said I did not uncheck the boxes that stated I was also ordering extra products. She mentioned water and hoodia pills.

I am no stranger to online ordering, I know what I'm doing and I know for a fact I made sure my order was accurate and I did NOT order anything extra. I explained I would be filing a claim with my bank and the BBB if the charges were not reversed. She put me on hold, Came back and said no problem, Account/order canceled and I would have charges reversed. Even gave me a reference number.

I called my bank back to update them on the situation and was instructed to call back and get a time frame as to when the charges would be reversed. When I called back I was told no refund till they get their products back. I said I had no products and did not order anything but the 14 day free trial. She said whoever told you that you were getting a refund was wrong. I then started explaining to her the complaints I had read online and that the company should be aware and then boom... She hung up on me. Excellent customer service skills... eh? : /

Btw.. Throughout this ordeal I have stayed very cool, calm and collective. Actually proud of myself too lol. Being rude or ignorant would put me down to their level.

Right after I was hung up on I then sent the company another email telling them everything I just typed here. No response yet from any emails I have sent. I just checked my bank account, No reversed charges. I'm afraid this is gonna be a long 'fight' Is there something that can be done to help Folks like me? Can we get together here and stop this company period from doing this to anyone else?

This web site... complaintsboard had previously helped me in another matter. I was grateful for your help then and I would be forever grateful if you could help me and the others who have filed complaints against this company.

ripoff
My complaints are like the others. You order a "free" trial product and recieve $40 more in products you didn't order. Then when you call them, their customer service line runs you around in circles. So, I guess the way they make their money is just ripping people off instead of selling their so called "wonderfull" products. Hasn't Oprah looked into this. She supposedly endorses these products which is mainly why I ordered the stuff. I am looking to see if she has an email address that I can write to.

You have charged my account and no merchandise was received.

My mother was also told her acoount credited, my mother also received other merchandise she did not
order. Have made many phone calls, only get recording.
