I was purchasing medication for my mother at our local Walgreens. They declined my check for 86.00. Upon contacting Certegy I was informed that there was nothing wrong with my check but rather I didnt meet thier profile and they could not reverse thier computers decision. I have contacted walgreens management and will never do business with them again. Please let people know that Certegy is a terrible business investment.

My check was declined. I had more than enough funds available to cover the check. No one at the store could tell me why my check was declined. I could not reach a live person at Certegy to answer my questions. I will refuse to do business with any company that uses this company and I would request that others exercise the same practice. This was completely unacceptable practice. My check was absolutely, 100% good and I have outstanding credit. I have never been so embarrassed in all of my life!

My husband owns his own company (gross pay more than the 6 digit range). I have tried to write a check on 2 different occasions. Once to get gas and the other to Christmas shop. Declined at both. We went to the bank and in fact had more than adequate funds to pay for the items. We called Certegy and they said it was not because of insufficient funds, but for the unusual check writing activity. Who are they to tell me how much money I can spend in a day or how many checks I can write. If I wanted to write 500 checks for $1, I should be able to do so. It is the principle. Our company attorney is looking into this currently, as I type this. The biggest experience for my family is embarrassment. We are well known in the area for our company and this does reflect on our customers (as one was behind me in line). This is embarrasing and needs to be stopped. I will post whatever our attorney finds out and I hope it will be helpful to others.

I was at a One Day sale at Macy's. Stood in line a long time to purchase a jacket that was on sale. With the coupon and after tax, the purchase price was $34.44. I wrote a check, which was declined. I was quite embarrassed because of the long line of people. I used a credit care to complete the transaction. I didn't understand "why" the check wasn't honored because I had previously written a check 30 minutes prior, still in Macy's, in another line in the housewares department for $52.99. It didn't make sense that the larger amount was approved minutes sooner but this one was not. I tried to call the number to Certegy on the bottom of my charge receipt but I have never been able to reach a live person to have a discussion or ask a question and obtain more details.

I have cashed numerous payroll checks within the last month and half... Today, was turned down, wal-mart associate rude, handed me a receipt, call this number.. After being on hold, speaking with two representatives, from certegy... Neither could give me a straight answer.. Is this good customer service, I think not.. Wal-mart, word of mouth just might catch up with you greedy corporate people... enough said.
