SCAM
I have tried to get in touch with this company many times since December 2009. the only time I have been contacted was when they needed to collect more money. I have lost a total of $700 with this company promising me roundtrip flights and hotel stays. No response and all phone numbers go to completely different companies. Awful!!!

Scam
Certs, Inc. has scammed me out of $498. On June 27 2008 7:45 pm I attended a time share presentation for Royal Palm Vacation (AKA: World Vacations) in which I was promised a Cruise from Bayonne, NJ. to Bermuda for both my wife and I. Certs, Inc. requested $249 per person for port charges, Taxes and Fees. I sent out full payment of $498.00 by postal money order on 8/4/08 Along with the requested copies of our passports and Id's. The expected sailing dates promised were for the following year in 2009. After waiting a year for this long awaited and much needed vacation we were notified by mail 1 month prior to the trip that it was cancelled! The two options given to us were to choose another sailing date 1 year away in 2010 or request a refund. Of course we requested a refund. We signed the required form and submitted by registered mail to Certs, Inc. at 424 East Central Blvd. #413 Orlando, FL 32801 on 09/17/09. I was told it would take 4 weeks for a refund. I have been waiting ever since for my refund! I must have called Cert, Inc. at phone number 866-292-0099 over 60 times and all I get is a recording. No one ever picks up and you can not leave a message either. The recording instructs you to send your questions by email and I have done that as well several times with no response. It is now 1/12/10 and we have yet to receive our refund or any correspondence from Certs, Inc. I have everything documented. This company has scammed many people out of their hard earned money and it's not until we all file our complaints with the attorney generals office and start a class action lawsuit that we will we ever see our refunds! What troubles me the most is that Certs, inc is collecting taxes for these cruises and not submitting the taxes which makes that a federal crime!

Refund claim
Mailed request on 9-28-2009 to cancel contract and get full refund of $423. Phone call on 10-27-2009 to check on status of refund. Was told request was received and refund would be sent 4 to 6 weeks from date of request receipt. This would be in date range of 10-28 to 11-11. Called numerous times beginning on 11-20-09 with no contact. Could not get by their recordede announcement. Mailed a letter on 12-04 requesting status of refund. No response so called on 12-15 and was shocked that I talked to a real person. Was ;put on hold for 12 minutes and at that time was told letter had been received but refund had not been sent. Did not know when it would be sent. Asked to talk to a manageer and was told the manager would not talk on the phone. Asked representative to please notify their management peerson that I was upset and that I wanted a response to my inquiry. Later that day I sent a complaint to the BBB of Central Florida and on 12-16 received an email that they rely on the cooperation of businesses to resolve any issues. This company (Certs, Inc) does not cooperate with the BBB and is unable tp assist in resolving this issue. I am desperatly looking for help to recover my deposit of $423. Any help would be appreciated.

crock of lies
We attended a 2 1/2 hr semimar on vacations with a promise of 2 free airline tickets anywhere in us. when it came time to make arrangements with a date within 60 days of travel, we were told we were not in compliance with the agreement. we were given back the $100 down payment but told not to re-contact them and it was a one time package. we are very disappointed and fee cheated. my advise to anyone who reads this is do not fall for this gimmect, it is total scam.

free offer is not free
We also sat through a vacation club presentation and should have been tipped off when they said several times that their organization had absolutely nothing to do with the promotional offer of a rental car and trip for 2 on American Airlines. Thankfully, I've only sent in $50. and will take the loss...the second form asked for another $100. for the car rental and $100. for the airfare. Then I "googled" Certs, Inc. and found out what a scam it is. Thank you everyone - I lost $50. but saved $200.

Deceptive travel trade practices
Look there are so many complaints above that my details don't matter. What does, is who you complain to. Its the Fla. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, CHARLES H. BRONSON, Commissioner, Tallahassee, Florida. I can only imagine multitudes of us that were misled, and if we all complained to the correct place maybe the Commissioner, if honest and caring, would do something to these sleaze balls. The address is:
Division of Consumer Services
2005 Aplachee Pkwy.
Tallassee, Fl 32399-6500
1-800-HELP-FLA
My case Specialist is Debra L Jordan, maybe she could be the focal person.
