Champion Home Warranty is a scam. It is the new name for Nationwide Home Warranty, another scam which went out of business under that name in Dec. 2009 when New York Attorney General Cuomo won a case against Nationwide and got $900, 000 to pay off complaints against them. Now the same guys started up Champion with the same website and documentation, but now their phones and website no longer work. I bought a Champion Home Warranty on 11/17/09 for $341, while they were still selling in Florida and California even though they were being prosecuted under the name of Nationwide in New York. See this article explaining the connection between Nationwide and Champion in the Warranty Week website plus related websites. File a complaint with the New York Attorney General's office at (800) 771-7755.
