outright rude
On Sunday October 11th, 2009 a few coples and our children do our regular fall trip to this winery and we always make it a pont to go bring some activities fr the children. On this particular day as we are walkking in, we are approached by a very rude and discourteous woman (i am assuming a Channing daughter) and a man who looks like he belonged in an 1970 Beatles movie. they both state, that we cannot bring more than 3 children to the 3-4 acre field that agian we go to every year. Sorry, we had 5 children. They basically put up a human wall and would not let us go through...pathetic. As we tell them we do this every year and have no issues and usually spend between $350-$500 to stock up for the winter in whites and reds, they basically threw us off the property...it was 430pm...maybe they wanted to close on time. but very very rude. I would never give them a red cent ever agin after that stunt. I actually asked politely to use the rest room before i left and they would not even allow that. i explained that we come every year and they did not want to hear anything. One of the patrons came up to me as i was leaving and said that it was one of the only winerys that hated children...were they not children once. After leaving, the Beatles looking guy yelled profanitys at our car and actually kicked up some rocks from the parking lot and it hit our car. I will be conatcting the suffolk board of health at some point this week to ensure this doesnt happen to anyone else. they should state in their website NO CHILDREN ALLOWED. i highly recoomend you stay away from this place..
