Poor Product Even Worse Service
We have had Charter cable and internet for three years now, ask me why I don't know. Maybe because the two apartments that we have resided in have signed deals with charter to make them the sole provider of service. Well, every other day, and I mean every other day, either the cable or the internet doesn't work. After relentless yet pointless 5 minute conversations with Charter's automated service center you would be able to sit on hold for another 5 min to speak to an agent who couldn't care if you were on fire. After yet another round of explaining who you are and why your calling to the equivalent of another robot, the apathetic agent simply tells you to restart the modem, or my favorite, they tell you that they are working on it or "we have an agent in your area fixing the problem right now". While the owner lobs around on the world's second biggest yacht I sit here being driven to my breaking point...I will be waiting for you in hell Charter. CHARTER WITHOUT A DOUBT HAS THE WORST SERVICE AND WORST PRODUCT IN THE U.S. but they'll keep growing larger.

rip off
Since day one I have had nothing but problems with Charter Communications they are a total rip off. They tell you one price but every month my bill was going up and up. There was a different cost for the same service every month. I pay my bill every month or they will quickly turn it off. But for some reason I have had to pay over 700 dollars within the last six weeks. Every two week they turn off my cable and tell me I owe. Please watch your bill sometimes they charge twice in one month not even giving you a whole 30 days. All my friends complain about charter. They even cheated a 80 year old grandmother luckily she got credit back. DO NOT TRUST CHARTER COMMUNICATION!

No Communications at Charter
Charter Communications = no communications
The offices employe grumpy uneducated people, who can't handle being nice, or helpful. The hotline employe sends you places that don't have equipment. The store and the hotline needs to communicate. I spend several hours on several days driving where they sent me to get nothing but aggrivation. I see now everyone who joins charter deals with charter. When it is suppost to be join charter and enjoy the service, that is not the case...

I do not undrstand how a company like charter communication is not held accountable and resposable for there continued actions of misleading, billing, communications, etc??
Where are the people that we pay to protect us from companys like charter???

I have been a customer with Charter for many years. I decided to do the Bundle package with charter about 2 yrs ago well that was a huge mistake!! They raise my rates every 3 months NOW my rates are $200 + per month for internet, cable and phone service. I received 3 different bills in 1 month period. They cut my service off and now they sent me a bill after I turned in my boxes saying I owe almost $700 for 2 months and I never rent pay perviews or anything. They rip people off and they will send the cable guy to your door to collect money. I told the cable guy here are all my boxes because there is no way I am paying that much money for cable. I called the customer service trying to find out why I was billed almost $700 and they were confusing me and had no clue what they were talking about. This company needs to be sued and should not be aloud to do this to people. I am going to go through direct tv and I will never ever go through charter again. They are scamers

Family is moving to an area not covered by Charter communication, contacted Charter two weeks before our planned moving date and asked how long we would have access to our e-mail. Was told our account would be active for 60 days. The day after we canceled our service with charter, they canceled our e-mail account. I contacted technical service and was again told the account would be available for 60 days, the tech service advisor then did some checking and advised that the account would end immediately, but if I wanted to pay for internet access, I could pay for the access and then reinstate my account. I asked to speak with a supervisor - my phone chain then went - internet tech supervisor, customer service, (who transferred me over my objections to) visual technical service, who then hung up on me. Charter sucks and I am going to register this complaint on every site I can.

The Worst Service Ever
In over 22 days, I have not had all three of my services, internet, telephone, television (cable), working at one time in a single day!
I have had 8 service calls, 12 technicians, over 25 calls to the company, and two 4 hour scheduled appointments, where the technicians didn't even show up!
I repeatedly get a message stating that the line are being subject to too much traffic at a given time for both my local and long distance calls. The 3 way calling has a long 20 second lapse time and when it does connect finally, it disconnects when the first party is brought on the line or the call just never goes through.
It took all 8 service calls before my TV's were programmed to receive a less than fuzzy to completely unrecognizable pictures on my LOCAL TV stations and now I still have one set that doesn't function properly, although I have never had a single issue with it when I was in an area using another local cable service.
I have lost over 36 hours of time now, with this stupid company and when I called to refute the $240+ first bill, they actually said they would have to take time to determine whether or not they would waive the first months fees! The internet has not been bad, other than the fact that it took about 4 1/2 hours to finally get a technician who knew how to help me get my emailing straight, since unlike other cable companies, the first technician said they would not be able to help me with their service connecting to Outlook Express. The third representative, was finally able to help.
I have found that all of the technicians and customer service telephone support people have been extremely nice, with the exception of one. But nice doesn't cut it when the serice sucks!
The inconvenience and loss of time has been extremely costly!
And their technicians are given less than a sentence worth of history on the account every single time they show up at your doorstep. The first question out of their mouths is..."so what's the problem". I clearly wanted to choke the poor guys! But he showed me the text information they are given and it is ridiculously
void of the issues.
I was forced to get charter for my cable because I moved to a new area. Now, as I sit waiting to see if my phone will be up and working for the third day in a row, I am probably going to be forced to remove at least the phone and cable services. The internet is seemingly doing alright.

Terrible company
In October I asked Charter Communications to install a cable package with Internet. They used heavy sales tactics to entice me to also use their VOIP phone service but I was already happt with Vonage. Since installation, every time I try to use my phone while on-line my entire Internet system crashes. Charter has tried to fic the problem three times and their only solution seems to be that I cancel Vonage and switch to their service.
This all seems very suspicious to me.

Bad service
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, RUDE INCOMPETENT OFFICE STAFF. Ellensburg, WA. If there are any members of Charter Communication Management who care about the quality of employees that represent your company. Please read this. We have made 6 visits as of yesterday to the local office to change a service to my sons name. The change has never been made correctly, but when we return the same staff member insists that we never made the change. When we explain the error is not ours, she is rude will not listen. The latest error, my bill is now coming to my address in my sons name!! This staff member has an attitude, does not listen to our request, does not make the requested change correctly, and does not take responsibility. Its been exhausting. Charter Communication desperately needs to improve customer service. We all hope a new provider comes to our area.
