Repeated calls to Non-Borrowers
I received about 20 calls from "Chase Auto Loans" regarding an autoo loan by my former wife from whom I have been divorced since 1998. I ahve filed a class action alwsuite in federal court in Phailadelphioa agaisnt J.P. Mrgan Chase Bank, N.A., Chase Auto Finance Corp and their collection agenct, Accounts Receivable Maintenance, Inc. ("ARM") regarding their vailation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the RICO for unlawful conspiracy through wire fraud to falsely identify ARM as "Chase Auto loans" and to call non-borrowers repeatedly in order to cause them to contact the Chase borrower and pressure them to pay their Chae auto loan in order to stop the calls to the non-borrowers. I would be interested in hearing from persons experiencing the same type problem.

repo agent tried to kick in my front door
My complaint runs first by constant harrassment by collectors 7 days aweek starting at 7:30 in the morning and going till about 9:30 at night. We finally just stopped answering the calls. Both of us(Spouse) and I are disabled. Chase has been very rude and nasty to us. We would make 1 payment and they would call again the next day again from 7:30 on demanding the next payment. To make a long story short a repo agent (Female) started beating on our door thismorning demanding entrance to our garage. My wife said no and she said she would call the police and get us into all kinds of trouble for lying to her. She then insisted on seeing me. I have a heart condition and my wife told her that but she refused to accept that. as my wife was coming back to the house to get me the repo gal tried to kick the door in as my wife was shutting it to get me. I had immediate heart related pain and the officer here had to call the ambulance for me. I had thought about maybe going ahead and just giving it back but after this mornings episode I think an attorney is in order. is there anyone else in Kansas that has had to go thru this stuff. Also are there any class action suits we could join regarding their tactics?

NON PROFESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
I have sent Chase Auto Finance a formal complaint letter concerning the way their representatives handle calls to customers. I am done with dealing with Chase Auto Finance. If I could I would be refinancing my car loan with another company. Yes, I will admit this past year has been very difficult and yes, my payments have been late. But that gives no right for their employees to belittle, harass, badger, etc. their customers. My next step is to file a formal complaint with the BBB. I do not recommend anyone using Chase for any type of business!!

I’ve never been late on a payment and they treat me like dirt and talk down to me
If you read my report and still don’t leave Chase Auto Finance or avoid them if you don’t already do business with them, then be prepared for what you will get for ignoring me. I financed a new car with Chase in March ’09. In September ’09 I added another new car to Chase, so I had two auto finance accounts.
To make a very, very long story short, Chase Bank did something that was very unprofessional that hurt my credit so I closed my checking account and decided to move my auto accounts to other banks. My other bank sent Chase Auto Finance a check for Car A, and Chase paid off Car B.
Both banks have said that it’s my problem and I have now spent over two months trying to get Chase to reopen the account for the car that wasn’t paid off and pay off the correct car. I am now paying three car payments for two cars. Car A at Chase is being paid and Car B is being paid at both banks.
So you say this isn’t possible. They have to fix this. Well, all I can tell you is that you have not seen a level of incompetence like that at Chase Auto Finance until you see it with your own eyes. I have been told that it would be fixed in 7 business days, three times now.
It’s still not fixed and I doubt it will be until I finally just start suing both banks. I’ve had multiple days ruined arguing with these people all day on the phones. They’ve sent me letters halfway through the 7 day periods that they say they will fix the account asking for things that they’ve already asked for and received. It’s the most unbelievably simple mess to fix if you are competent. Consider yourself warned! Chase auto finance is an awful business to deal with.
I’ve never been late on a payment and they treat me like dirt and talk down to me. I hope they go bankrupt and all of those scumbags lose their jobs for what they’re doing to people. And by the way, Chase Bank is the reason that all of this even started. They are as bad as Chase Auto Finance. These people are scum. Stay away.

Failure to acknowledge payment
My fiance and I took out a car loan with Chase. We have paid the bill through direct deposit to the account before the due-date each month. The mental giants at Chase then decide each month not to post the payment to the account in a timely fashion. Instead, they report us as being delinquent with payments to the amateur bullies at their collection agency. (By the way, the little incompetents also charge us a late fee each month. I can now predict, on a monthly basis, when the endless round of roto calls will be made to our house and when the useless widgets will suddenly realize the payment has been made and, in turn, stop calling.)
Have we pointed out the error of their ways to them? Yep, on numerous occasions by phone and by email. And, yes, they can try to be rude, pushy, and domineering. I’m not impressed nor am I intimidated. However, I am Cajun, in menopause, and ready to fight, so I’m sending a letter to Chase today with a copy to our State Attorney General and, if that fails, getting a lawyer. (There has to be a harassment claim in here somewhere.)
Oh and I forgot to mention the other thing I’m going to do: Refinance the damned car and never, never, never go near this company again. Spread the word, folks: When it comes to Chase, its Caveat emptor all the way! Let’s put ‘em out of business.

I will never do any kind of business with them again
I recently lost my job and fell 30 days past due on my auto payment. I contacted Chase to let them know and attempt to set up a temporary repayment plan to get caught up and avoid getting another payment behind. to my surprise they do not offer any assistance and if you make any payment other than what is due is will not change your status! I tried to be honest and upfront with them and because they will not deal with me at all I am fearful of losing my vehicle. I have never had a loan through such a horrible company. After talking with other friends and family I discover I am not the only one completely dissatisfied with this company.
I will never do any kind of business with them again.

Repo - took 6 days, sent over 2000.00......still no truck
Less than 6 hours ago, i sent chase over 2000.00 for my truck that was taken from my driveway last Sat. night. i have been trying to get my truck since Mon. i never delt with the same rep. in trying to fullfill chase's request/demands mon turned into tues. now it's fri, they have my money and my truck is someware in Nashville. which was put on a truck after i told the last rep that i wasn't paying it off, i would pay for "past due, as well as this may payment (due on 5/24). one rep said all of my paper work was fine, another said they have yet to recive (sent 4 times in same day). spoke to a number of "off shore" reps. one told me all i needed to pay was 215.00 then it went to 3330.00and so on. i requested info in writing...we don't do that. The last rep i spoke to told me this wouldn't have happened if i had taken care of this "on the 10th, or11th. i asked him if he had seen that i was trying to get this taken careoff...he said yes, not our problem.
In Dec. i went on a differnt pymnt plan. all reps said they saw the info.. had my check and payment info .
at this point in time, i really don't know what to do. they knew i was working to get this taken care of.i understand large call vol, few reps.but this has gone to an extreme.even with partial info on Mon. there was no reason this wasn't taken care of tues. i even took yesterday and today off. when i told this to another "off shore" rep. the response was "there was no reason for you to miss work, everything is fine" and the classic "don't you worry, no need to worry, i will take care of this. Gee, if i din't take off, who knows where my truck would have ended up don't know if i still have a job, can't make extra money cutting grass, can't haul hay to my horses.

car repoed when account was current

car repoed when account was current
My car was repossessed by chase auto finance when account was current. They claim that payment has not been received for 4 months but I have bank statements that prove otherwise. Went to the local chase branch and the chase bank representative pulled up proof of my payments and still could not get an explanation from the auto finance dept. as to what was going on. Has anyone out there had a similar experience and how did you deal with it?

BAD Business Practices...period
I fell behind on payments due to the unexpected loss of my job in May '10. As a result, Chase called incessantly with their bullies. ( And I'm not slanting that at all!) Their phone reps are the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. It became evident the right hand didn't know what the other was doing early on when I was on the phone with one rep on my cell, and the home phone was ringing off the hook from, you guessed it, JP Morgan Chase. When I mentioned it to the one I was speaking with, he burst out in a fit of anger and the threats ensued.
I took out a small, high interest loan (to make a payment(s)) while my unemployment decision was in litigation. Up till this point, all payments had been made on time, and they gladly accepted payments.on my 12.99% car loan.
Over the course of the next five months they made numerous phone calls, essentially hedging previous verbal agreements on the phone! What one rep said, the other seemed to have no knowledge of, and would NOT be accountable for. In fact when they came to repo the car on a Monday morning, it breached an agreement I made with a rep the previous week. I wasn't able to get to my cash job I had taken, and thus had no way to make payments. I am a single father, so my hardships multiplied. But I didn't fret too much though, as I was repeatedly told all phone calls were being recorded, thus backing my story as I told it to their "Redemption" department. WRONG! That was only another of their bullying tactics (for what purpose I cannot fathom).
So after talking with their initial agent immediately following the repo, they told me I could only obtain the vehicle for the final payoff of roughly $5, 000. My past due amount was about $1500, which I was able to obtain from a family member to make current on the loan, should they decide I was worthy of reinstatement of the loan. (With the remaining $3500 to be paid off by Aug. '11)
This is where it got interesting! They only wanted the payoff, or (to reinstate) proof of income through only a taxpaying job. My boss at my cash job kinda frowned on the idea of verifying on paper the fact I was making about the same money working for him as I was at my previous company/ job (for obvious reasons). I told this to Chase and they seemed unable to comprehend that concept. It sounded as if they wanted to subject my boss and I to IRS tax laws FAR exceeding the value of the car at stake. HELLO!?!? Okay, I give in to that finally, after much work over the phone! Then I gave them the best offer they could ask for. I COULD readily prove to them I had the past due amount in hand, AND in short order we could figure the tax owed to me (that of Federal already paid in 5 mos w/ previous company and earned income credit as well). It comes out to a return of $5517, to be direct deposited by the second week of Feb. '11 ( as I'm awaiting fir now). I was offering for them (Chase) to be able to garnish my refund for the payoff, essentially paying them off 6 mos. before the previous payoff was due.
They would NOT take it! It seems as if they were hell-bent on taking some kind of moral high ground on me. I explained to these banking "professionals" how, in this day in time with the existing bad economy, how proof of a taxpaying job is only speculative at best, but money owed to me by the U.S. Gov't was much more secure (and more so, COULD be verified) they were dumbfounded and were bullheaded with stupidity!
They sold the vehicle at auction about one week after repossession (undoubtedly for far less than payoff or what the vehicle was worth to me), and now are still calling demanding $1600+ for the balance! Well, DUH, I ain't gonna give them a damn penny. I explained the series of events to each rep I talked with ongoing and I grew blue in the face trying to explain a sensible solution to them. The reps are obviously reading from the same script with no autonomy or sense enough to pour piss out of their shoe! I will file for bankruptcy if I have to (and it looks like I will) to be able to provide for my child and to be able to have a means of transportation to and from work!
These guys are not professional at all! I recently saw a heartwarming story where Chase Bank provided a new (welfare) home for a homeless/ jobless someone for a "p.r." measure on the local news station. But they won't do anything for the working man going through a temporary setback.

Incompetence at Chase
I leased a Subaru through Chase Auto Finance. Had my payments taken directly from my bank account. Never had a statement or other notification from Chase the entire time of the lease. My carbon copy of lease document shows 47 months on lease. At the time I made the agreement the salesman at the dealership had discussed a 36, 42, 48 month lease or a 60 month purchase. I left thinking I had a 48 month lease. All payments were made timely, my last payment was made December 8, 2010, payment due date was December 10th, next payment due January 10, 2010. December 31st I found a repo man in my driveway trying to take the car! I provided him with bank statements showing timely payment and a copy of my lease agreement. He left the car. I should note that other than the first statement issued one month after signing the lease agreement I have not had any written or verbal contact from Chase regarding my lease or instructions concerning the process I needed to follow at the completion of the same. At the time Chase attempted to repo the car I was in the process of securing a long-term loan to buy the car, still having heard squat from Chase. I called the number provided by repo company and began the Chase run-around (seems this institution is aptly named) I was told that a rep, DeShawn, had tried to contact me and I needed to speak to her. Not so... my phone log indicated NO incoming calls from Chase and her voicemail simply told me to leave a message and she would return the call in 24 to 48 hours. Methinks 14 days is longer than 48 hours, but who knows!! Long story short, payoff check was sent January 4, 2011 per Chase instructions. Chase indicated they would send the title 7 business days after receipt of payoff. No one at Chase can find the payment! The payment processing center doesn't talk to the vehicle recovery center and DeShawn doesn't talk to anyone (her 48 hours are still running). I faxed a copy of the check issued by my credit union to their "Recovery" department. Now they want my credit union to stop payment and re-issue a new check. Credit union says Chase is the worst! They sometimes take 30 days to process payment and release the title. I am just waiting for the repo man to show up at my doorstep again. I have called Chase twice a day since the 4th of January hoping to get someone to acknowledge that I have paid timely and that they are in the process of releasing title. No one knows anything. Warning! AVOID CHASE AT ALL COSTS! My next letter is to Subaru 's CEO!
