Chase is brutal
Chase Auto is the worst. You want immediate help, Chase Auto Finance CEO's direct line is (516) 745-3838. His name is Mark Sheinbaum. Flood them with calls, you will get a response. One of the VP's in Chase Auto is Tom Beranek and his direct line is 414-977-5702. Someone needs to file harassment suit against these people. Find an attorney who specializes in the Fair Debt and Collections Act.

Constant Runaround/Lies
I recently (Sept. 23, 2010) paid Chase Auto Finance $18, 000 to close my loan with them in order to resell my vehicle. Since that time, I have got nothing but runaround from Chase Customer Service in regards to obtaining my title. Several phone calls have been met with "We have a research team working on it" but no title as of October 5, 2010. I was even told on the 29th of Sept. that my title had been sent to me via Fed-Ex but found that to be a lie. Chase was nice enough to send me a letter on the 27th of September stating my account is satisfied and even sent a check for overpayment but no title. I was told three separate times that a supervisor would be contacting me but still no call. I have even received the cleared check back in the mail meaning Chase has deposited the funds sent to them. Chase is the worst in regards to customer service and taking care of those who are on time with their payments. I will NEVER apply for any type of Chase loan or credit card as a result of this experience.

COMPLAINT DETAIL
I was laid off on Feb. 21st 2010. and I got behind on my car payments. Making minimal payments everytime possible. I was in contact with a woman named Torrie Pertrowski, and from the beginning I had the Impression she was in the CEO"s office. Everytime I would contact her I would state that I was very grateful that the CEO"s office was helping me with this issue. I was never corrected after I said this to her. On May 27th I made a payment for $250, and on July 11th I made one for $400(my monthly payment was $451). I was at my computer on July 22nd. when I heard rattling chains from outside. It was 2 guys with a flatbed were in my drive preparing to hook my car up and take it away. I ran out and said: what are you doing. they said we have papers to reposess this car. I told them to stop a minute, and that I had an agreement with the CEO'S office to make payments. I ran inside and called Torrie. she answered and I explained what was going on. I gave the phone to the driver, and after a moment of conversation he handed the phone back. Torrie said she would see what she could do and get back to me. Meanwhile, the two guys continued to take the car. One of them said when I get an issue I have to come back with a car. I then asked to get my belongings out and he wouldn't let me. The car was hooked up, and the flatbed started to pull the car with out the wheels moving. It actually left skid marks in my driveway that are still visible to this day. I went back inside to make calls (this was about 11am) When I called Torrie back all I got was voice mail. Actually, I haven't spoke to Torrie since. After about 8 phone calls I finally found an office that had my account information. No one ever heard of Torrie Pertrowski from the CEO's office. I finally thought I found the top supervisor (MARK HALE)He was also giving me a hard time. I wasn't getting any answers, and I asked for the CEO's direct line. He said: "he didn't know it". I went to the computer, and found the information myself. CEO of Chase Auto Finance MARK SHEINBAUM. I called and asked to speak with Mr. Sheinbaum. He wasn't available, and a Secretary took my information and said someone would get back to me. The following day Ms. Ann Marie Detammaso returned my call. I told her my situation, and she told me Torrie Pertrowski DID NOT WORK IN THE CEO'S OFFICE. After reviewing my acct. We found out that my contact phone number was from about 2 years ago. This was actually verified everytime I spoke with Torrie. Along with address and social security number. There was also notes for "NO PHONE CALLS" ON CELL # (732-277-6490)and the home phone # as well (732-738-9514). Which is something I never requested. Anne marie was doing the best she could, but really couldn't make any decisions on the car being dropped back off to me. She put me in contact with TARIQ McCULLY (V.P.) On our first conversation he said: I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A JOB FOR HIM TO GET THE CAR DROPPED OFF TO ME". AT that time I said to myself. I'm having a difficult time finding a job as it is. How am I going to pull this one off. Friday June 25, 2010. The Census calls me for a job $18.50 an hour. I was amazed as anybody would be. I called Tariq, and he said he would need information saying I was hired this went on for about a week. each paper that the Census office would FAX for me wasn't good enough. Finally after four attempts Anne Marie contacted me and said: the last form sent was fine... OK, my car will be dropped of to me...not so fast. Tariq says I need to pay the past due amount of about $1200. He went back on his original statement of getting the car back to me IF I PROVED I FOUND A JOB. He didn't even consider the fact that Ms Torrie Pertrowski portrayed herself as someone working in the CEO"s office helping me out. After weeks of going back and forth about everything that Chase Auto Finance did wrong I still do not have a car.Although, Anne Marie said: I could go to the repo company and it wouldn't cost me. I just can't get 30 miles up to Newark to pick it up. My car has been gone about a month, and it just seems no one is being of assistance... I have Jobs I can take. but, I have no car. I had an interview scheduled from last week for Wed.July 21st at 1pm.(at UPS) that I had to cancel. I figured I would have had my car returned by now.
It is now August 24, 2010. I still do not have my car. I am waiting for reports from the Better Business Bureau (where 2 people working on my case both left there positions with the company), New York Attorney Generals office, and Congressman Leonard Lance’s office. Any contact with Chase Auto Finance has been with Ms. Detammaso and has been basically “hashing” and “re-hashing” prior events. Everytime I reach out to CEO Marc Sheinbaum for a resolution to this problem I get voice mail or a Secretary. Shortly there after I would receive a call from Anna Marie. Mr Sheinbaum was on vacation from August 6, 2010 til August 16 2010. Recently I have had discussions with Jeff Levine (Atty for Chase auto) on Thursday Augast 19th he said he would look into my account and get back to me. On Tuesday August 24th I contacted Adessa car auctions in Manville, NJ. There is where I found out my car was auctioned off on August 12, 2010. I then contacted Congressman Leonard Lance’s office, and spoke to my case Rep(Glen) He told me he heard that from Ms. Detammasso on August20, 2010.Shortly there after My cell phone rang at 10:14am (August 24, 2010) it was Mr Levine and he wason the line with a woman named Nancy on a three way call. They were going over my account, and over my past payments and agreements. Mr Levine then wouldn’t let me correct some of their information that was wrong….Also, I was trying to tell him it didn’t matter because my car was auctioned off….. he never let me get that out….he said:” I would have to come up with the past due amount if I wanted to get my car back”. He continued to yell and hung up. I tried to call the number that was on my phone [(516) 745-4137] back…. NO ANSWER .. NO VOICEMAIL, either. I went to the White Pages on the internet and did a REVERSE LOOK UP. To my surprise the number came up UNPUBLISHED. I find that very odd for a LAW office. And, why would He want me to pay a past due amount when the car was auctioned off on August 12, 2010. It is now August 24, 2010. and no one has notified me that MY car has been auctioned off………..In another note two witnesse’s ( Joy Gutero and Tamara Calaxte ) of my agreement with Torrie Pertrowski were told by Ms. Anna Detammasso to tell Mr. Conrad “ If he has any new information to call me (Anna)”. The new information in both case’s was the fact that these two individuals new of a relationship between Myself and Ms. Pertrowski, and they were calling to tell Ms. Detammasso. Joy Gutero's Supervisor Hisseda Ali called me on September 28, 2010. She said she knew of my case, and that I should "cease" calling Ms. Gutero because she is not my point of call. She had a tough time accepting the fact that Joy knew of my relationship.But, in the end she admitted that she also knew of problem.

Chase auto finance is a crooked and worst bank who trick people into buying cars which they cannot afford. Now they harass even if you delay by 2 months in these bad times.USA govt. should take action against the CEO of chase bank for tricking people and being inhuman once they are tricked in dealings and later insulting the customers day in and day out using crooks of the worst order. you can see the complaints allover the web against chase. I request the USA govt to control chase.

dihonesty and herassment
I have been sick with a tumor and had a med procedure done 2 months ago. During this time we have fallen behind on our bills including our car payment with JP Morgan. My husband has been in contact with an agent from chase and they said they would try to work out a hardship deferral for us and we would still behind a payment plus late charges but we could pay that and bring current. Tues a woman came to the door and served my husband with court papers from chase telling us to appear in court in sept 2010 to turn the vehicle in or pay 19000.00 to pay off the loan. when my husband called to try to understand what was going on they said they would not work with us the agent did not post anything about a deferral on our account so there is nothing we can do, they did say we could pay them 4800 but we don’t owe that amount when my husband ask why so much they said it is 2 payments plus late charges. I am shocked and distraught and do not know what to do. I cannot believe in a time when families are struggling that a company like JP Morgan could be so cold they are completely refusing to work with us.

HARASSMENT
NEVER EVER FINANCE A CAR THROUGH CHASE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH. MY CAR PAYMENT IS DUE ON THE 15TH OF THE MONTH AND THEY USUALLY START CALLING ON THE 13TH AND 14TH. I HAVE TOLD THEM NUMEROUS TIMES. DO NOT CALL BEFORE THE PAYMENT IS EVEN DUE. ABSOLUTELY HARASSMENT. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE THAN 10 DAYS PAST DUE. I WAS TOLD THE GRACE PERIOD IS JUST BEFORE LATE CHARGES ARE ASSESSED. ANY OTHER PLACE I HAVE HAD A CAR FINANCE THROUGH CALLS AFTER THE GRACE PERIOD NOT BEFORE THE DUE DATE.
CHASE IS HORRIBLE AT AUTO FINANCING

FAKE CHARGES
Where do I begin? DO I begin with the company that doesnt send paper statements, when that is what I requested? Do I talk about how I received 17 calls this week for a payment that is not yet late? DO I complain about how the company claims my check did not arrive on time, and that they then charge me $60 some dollars for a late fee for a payment that was on time? How about the rudest customer service reps on the planet- who believe they need to yell to be heard? And while they are yelling, and when they are finished, threaten to disconnect you? AHA BUT THERE IS A TRICK!
When they threaten to disconnect you, listen to their music because you are tying up their line. DO NOT HANG UP. Keep demanding to speak to a supervisor. The music tone will go down and the rep is listening and eventually- low and behold- you get a supervisors... VOICE MAIL.
Racist, classist company that takes advantage of the economically challenged. I would be happy to start up a class action law suit or a claim to the better business bureau with any other interested parties.

Wrecker sent to repo new vehicle BEFORE first payment was due and after putting down 9,883
Purchased a new Kia Sorento. Put down $9, 883. First payment due June 11, 2010. Wrecker in driveway on May 13, 2010 to repo car at 11:30 P.M. Bank told car dealership I hung up on them. I did not. Mildred phoned me from Chase Auto Finance and asked for references and I gave her the same references as the ones on my application. She wished me well and hung up. A few days later another women called me from the bank. She was very rude and demanded my pay stubs from the last 30 days. I told her I'd given the bank everything they asked for and thought I had a contract. I even gave them my income tax returns. She said she had to speak to the underwriters. I thought I was approved. I'd taken delivery of the car on April 8, 2010. State Farm Insurance called and said Chase Auto Finance put themselves down as the lien holder on the car on May 4, 2010.
I called the police when the wrecker arrived. They were useless. I phoned the general manager of the sister dealership Honda. She sent the wrecker away. I am to meet with her today to finance this car with another company.

Credit reporting and late fees
I’ve had a loan with Chase for the past 4 years. Beware- the suppose 10 day grace period is just a scam. I’ve made payment during the additional 10 days they gave you to pay and they still charge you up to $75 in late fee and they will report you to the credit bureau. They have ruined my credit.
If you have not made a payment by the exact due date they harass you at work and home, as if you’re a criminal. Their favorite phrase is “and the call will not stop until you make the payment”. I’m talking about 10 calls in a matter of 2 hours.
I work based on commission in real estate and I have notified numerous of time on my situation. They don’t care. They have too much power and there is nothing we can do. I’ll take the late fee, but when it’s within the grace period it’s not fair.
Don’t offer a grace period if your not going to honor it. This bank is so bad and now I’m stuck with them, because they ruined my credit. There should be laws to protect our credit rate.
Banks always win. Chase, Goldman and Bank of America had the best quarter this year. No other bank did. How did that happen, I know Chase bank is ripping the little people off. Bank of America (or should I say The Bank that rapes Americans) does the same with overdraft fee, and later have no records on why they charged it in the first place. And Goldman Sachs, well they’re all over the news.
In the good old days I would send them an addition $200 payment per month and was never late. Now That I’m barely making enough money to support my home, I also have to worry about the disgusting bank ruining my credit and the embarrassment on their harassing calls at work and home.

Harassing Rude Collections Supervisor
I had a car loan for 5 years that was never late once. I bought a new car 8 months ago through Chase & within weeks was hospitalized for months after I had kidney surgery & was out of work. I have made all my payments so far (except this month) but they are usually late. I always advise EVERY representative of these facts each time they call since I am playing "catch up" with all my bills from being out of work for months.
The latest call was today from Melanie Morales who claims to be a Collections Supervisor. She went way out of line threatening me that they would repossess the car TODAY if I did not make a payment to HER today. The last representative I spoke with advised me I had until the 3rd of May to pay, which is when I get paid again.
Melanie insisted she would repossess the car & REPEATEDLY made stressful remarks like, "You obviously don't care about your debts", & "What will you do without your car?" in a snide tone, & almost yelling "You are always late since you opened this loan! You clearly can't afford this car. You obviously don't care about paying your debts!" and others. I said there was no reason to be rude to me, that I had spoken to someone already & arranged to make a payment, & she said, "Well, YOU have a problem because that's not good enough! "
I stayed very calm but she made me very angry & stressed & would not listen to me AT ALL, but kept interjecting her remarks about how I will lose my car, & that I don't care about paying things off, & how they did me a favor by "allowing me to build my credit" by giving me a car loan. Are you KIDDING ME?
I doubt she heard 2 words from me with all her rude interrupting. I have NEVER complained about a collection call before, but this was the most stressful & worst one I have ever had, & I wanted to report it & her, because there was no reason for it. Despite my excellent past records, I am now being treated as a bum off the street by a company I pay money to every month (late or not.) If it makes a difference, the payment I planned to make would have brought me 100% current, even into my NEXT payment, because I am caught up.
Damage Resulting
I endured a real physical & financial hardship out of my control. I am doing the best I can to make things work & to pay my debts, but now when I speak to a rep, I don't know if the dates that they say I need to pay by are REAL, or not. If one rep says one thing & a supervisor calls screaming at me something else, who do I listen to? A rep that sounded courteous & professional, or someone who screams & is totally rude & who claims to be a supervisor? I don't know but this sucks. She should be fired either way.
