Lies, lies and more lies!
On October 19th, I received a telephone message at home to call Chase regarding a “special program” they were offering. Curious, I called to find out what this was all about. I spoke to a Ms. Evans, who informed me that the “special program” was one in which I could skip a payment to get back on track. I told her that doing that would not help me, as I was unable to afford the monthly payments. I told her that I had written to Chase to inquire into their willingness to accept fair market value for the car to pay off the loan in full. She told me they could do that, that the process would go through the “outbound settlement department” and would take about a week to process. Very excited, I told her I would have to call back because I was home for lunch and needed to get back to work. She told me to call back, as for “outbound settlement” and complete the process.
Today, I called Chase while I was home for lunch to complete the settlement process. The first person I spoke to was “Tiffany.” I went over with her what I had discussed with Ms. Evans yesterday. Tiffany asked what the offer of settlement was, and I told her it was $10, 500.00 (the pay-off right now is $13, 031.00, Chase would lose very little), the figure I got from several car dealerships and from the NADA Guide and Kelley Blue Book. She asked when I would like to complete the settlement and I told her it would be within a week or two. She placed me on hold and the next thing I know, I am transferred to Collections. The person I spoke to in Collections told me that there were no settlements, that the amount I owed was what I owed and nothing less. I told her what Ms. Evans and Tiffany had told me and she said there was no such thing as the “outbound settlement department.” I wanted to speak to a supervisor, which of course, they would not let me do. She put me on hold and came back on the phone and told me that no one there ever heard of Chase participating in a settlement with a consumer, that they do not make deals with people. I told her that this was my biggest complaint about Chase, that one ends up in a circle of contradicting information. This is just so typical of how Chase treats their customers. Customer service is a foreign concept to their employees. I will NEVER deal with Chase again. I've gone through a year and half of dealing with these morons and I am no further ahead than I was when I started. HORRIBLE!

TRYING to voluntarily repossess
After I lost my job in June I decided to voluntarily repossess my car. I went through calling countless people just to finally have someone send me out some paperwork for the repossession and after sending it back I kept getting phone calls for another month and a half about late payments. I explained to them that I was trying to voluntarily repossess the car but nobody at Chase or their business partners were making any effort to come pick up the car. Finally I got a call to pick up the car on a Wednesday. The guy on the phone said that he would be there tomorrow at 10 am. Nobody showed or called. I waited again on Friday for half of the day before I had to leave town. Again, nobody showed in the time I was there or called. I've been out of town for 2 weeks now and a friend checking my house said there was a business card with the phone number for an auto repossession business on my door, but no phone call. I finally got a call from an unknown number by some angry lady at Chase named Becky saying that me avoiding them has been unacceptable. To top it off she said that she would have to seek further action, or something of that sort, unless I called back their 1-800-388-4223 number today (a Saturday) by 2:30 pm. Well I called back and their automated machine informed me that they weren't open on a Saturday. Awesome.
This isn't resolved yet. Currently trying to get ahold of someone to resolve this but I guess trying to resolve an issue on the weekend is impossible, however they have no problems contacting me.

rude, threatening, scam!
I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACCOUNT WITH CHASE AUTO FINANCE. Their rep is a piece of work and I hope she loses her job, as she has already lost her dignity.
Their collections reps are rude, threatening, and I will be recording future conversations (along with their harrassing voicemails I have already recorded) and report it to the authorities.
Talk about rude customer service! Since last week, I have received at least 3 extremely threatening calls addressed to my name from their collections department. I have never received any letters from them. I called at least 5 different Chase numbers (the main number, customer service, plus various auto finance numbers I keep getting routed t0), none have a record of an account.
I get a call from them again today and this time actually spoke with their harrassing rep. I explained I don't owe them anything because I never opened an account with them. The only auto loan I had was with another company, which I paid off over 5 years ago. She then starts SCREAMING and called me a liar! She said not to lie to her and that I'm 3 months behind on a payment. I then asked where she's been sending her collections letters. She would not give that out, then DEMANDED MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!! I told her I'm not giving that out. I tell her to check my home number (which she is calling) against my home address, because that won't match in her system.
I pulled a new credit report and, hmmmm, nothing listing Chase Auto Finance. I opened up a credit card 2 weeks ago and that credit card is already on my credit report. And the monsters are Auto Finance are saying I'm 3 months behind, but it's not on my credit report? It's on someone's credit report, but not mine. I told them they got scammed. They're using my name, home number, someone else's address and someone else's social security. Hope they lose their money on this since they dropped the ball. Whoever at the dealership approved this loan was a moron, should have noticed the auto loan didn't match the social security, address, name.

Car loan
Chase Auto Finance SUCKS!!! My husband and I financed a 2006 Chrysler 300 in 2005. We got hit with 18% interest. We have been paying since 2005, so it is some ridiculous amount when it finally gets paid off. Well for one my husband had got sick a few times in 2008, so we were late on our payments. Chase literally called us, this is no exageration at least 5 times a day. Everyday. Sundays and Holidays. Ok fast foward to last month. My husband works for the State in PA. Starting in June he was told the government was not going to pass the budget in July so the State employees would not be paid. So he was not able to make June's payment. So July he does not get a paycheck. Chase is steady calling...We explained to the lady at Chase that we have had the contract since 05. We have been late only 3 times if even that in almost 4 years. My husband explained about the budget thing with the state, she said she would talk to the supervisor. So nothing happened and then one day I asked my husband where he parked the car...IT WAS REPOSSESED!!...We were able to get it back for 3 months of back pay. And fees and all that. So $1960 later we are ready to get our car back. Now there is a big run around about where our personal belongings are, and they had to make a key to get in the car...HA! an extra $225...Hey they could have knocked on our door they could have had a key! So now we owe the auction $225...and we have no idea what happened to our belongings...1 big hassle...Suppose we could not come up with the $1960 they would have sold it at auction! To top it off the value of the car is paid for! We are just paying interest!

Moral of the story: Yes it was stupid of us not to have emergency $$ but when Chase says they are gonna repossess your car take them seriously. And if they don't say they will, THEY WILL!!! I guess they don't want people hiding their cars?

CHASE SUCKS!! I can't wait to be out of this contract with this over priced loan and high interest.

NEVER GET A LOAN WITH THEM
OMG! Chase is the most AWFUL company to ever do business with. I have had a loan with them since 2006 ALWAYS paid on time. Fell behind 2 weeks they started calling me. I spoke to the agent who was so rude and nasty- he was condescending suggested i borrow the money, post date a check etc... I had to hang up to try to get someone else! I called back to inform them that I would make a payment within the next two weeks before my car note became 30 days late. My car note is due on the 10th of every month. I received a letter from them on 8-3 reminding me of my payment and a late fee. I mailed my payment in on 8-4.
On 8-8 I heard a heavy handed knock on my door .. it was one of their "investigators" to verify if I lived at the address provided and if the auto was on my property! I almost lost it! I told them to leave or I was calling the police to make them! the payment was not even 30 days late! HATEFUL AWFUL PEOPLE RUN this comapny is ungrateful.. never do business with them.
They are the worst company ever!
I have owned at least 5 cars and NEVER gone through this!!! do not do business with them ever!
They should be on an expose for how awful they treat their customers!

Ridiculous RunAround
I bought a used car from a dealer back in July of 2008. When i bought the car it took a lot of fanagling to get a loan because of my lack of credit. I was 20 and had just recently gotten my first credit Card. In the end i got a loan through Chase Auto Finance. Everything was going fine as long as i didnt have to talk to them on the phone. I then moved in October because i was gonna be loosing my job. I was able to keep up with the payments because i had over paied trying to get rid of the loan as soon as possible. well i ht some rough time and was without a job for a while and my boyfriend ( now husband) wasn't making enough to help with my payments so i considered just getting it reposesed. Well my dad came through and helped out till i got married and was able to pay again. My husband and i paied off the loan with a new loan from our bank in march. I had told them my current address and still no title. I later found out when my car got totaled in a fire that i neede the title or a lean satasfaction from chase to get the payoff money for my totaled car. So 2 weeks ago my husband and i talked to them and they "claim" it was sent. Since i live in CA chase is new to the banking part of things here. All of the old Washington Mutuall Banks now say chase on them so we figured i could go in and just have them print me out a copy and be done with it. Well so much for that. The only thing you can do at the chase banks here is banking. They dont deal with the loans yet because the systems are still Washinton Mutuall. Well long story short i hust got off the phone with them and found out that the reason nothing has been getting to me is because their system has a limit on the address line so the aptment number keeps getting cut off. WHO PUTS A FRIGGIN LIMIT ON HOW LONG AN ADDRESS CAN BE. I HAVE A LONG STREET NAME! Well now i have been told that if it still doesnt get here by tues August 4th. which i really dobut it will be here.
If you dont want to be running in cricles about an auto loan then DO NOT get one through chase.

No title, no registration
Back in October 07, I purchased a car from private seller who had two names on the title with an "and/or". Chase closed the loan after asking their legal department if only one signature on the title was fine. They accepted and closed the loan. After three months of no registration I called and they told me that they needed the second signature. Well, him and his wife lived in another country now, so it would be a little hard trying to get ahold of them. After a year and a half and after running out of temporary registrations, I couldn't drive my car that I was paying for each month because I had no registration. Not to mention I had put down a lump sum of my own cash to purchase this car. We attempted to go ahead with a Bonded title application but that seemed to also be unsuccessful. So for nearly two years, I did whatever Chase asked me to do, and got rude responses from it..."Well you should've bought from a different seller" "Well I guess you can't drive your car" BS! I dealt with rude representatives and no help whatsoever! I decided to stop making payments until they decided to really go after getting the title situation handle and now all they're doing is being a bigger headache. Threatening me to take me to jail! What a joke these people are!!!

Harrassing, Rude Representatives, Horrible Business Practices Treat Loyal, Paying Customers Like They're NOTHING
I financed my vehicle thru Chase via the dealership I purchased through. Okay so I had never had a late payment in almost two years my husband and I were in the process of moving when I get a call from our old neighbors saying that there was a tow truck asking for me and looking for my vehicle I had no idea why so I went online to look at our banking stuff and realized I had forgotten in the midst of all the moving to pay the Chase payment but it was only 5 days late so I thought there is no way they are trying to repo my vehicle. Well I call Chase up immediately to see and sure enough it was them looking to repo my truck I asked them about a grace period because I had never heard of anyone sending out a repo truck if you are only five days late that is when she told me that they could repo my truck if I was one day late ~ I had never in my life heard of such a thing.
Well here it is another 2 years down the road (this thing is almost paid off) and again, we have had no late payments since in fact we have always usually paid early; well my husband was laid off and we got a week behind on our bills but again we were not over 7 days late on this truck payment and they call my husband and are questioning him and being so very rude to him basically he felt as if he was being interrogated about his job, the payment, our address where the vehicle was parked at. So he got frustrated and asked them why they were being so harassing and rude and told them we had never had a late payment in 4 years other than 1 previous time then he asked them if they just wanted to come and pick up the truck because they continued to press and press when he said he was laid off asking him if he had any other source of income, etc. Basically none of their business we were only a few days late and they hung up on him after the questions and rudeness. They just hung up.
How can these people not have a grace period? Doesn't every other reputable bank or finance company in the country have one. How can they send out someone to repo your vehicle after 5 days and threaten to do it if you're one day late.
I think this is the rudest most harassing company i have ever dealt with and I will NEVER EVER do any sort of business with them again. When this thing gets paid off (this year thank God!) I will never look back and I am telling everyone I know ... AVOID CHASE AT ALL COSTS
All I can do is shake my head at this company and wonder how they can treat LOYAL, PAYING CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS.

No bills
This auto finance dept. sends bills which are received too late to pay on time, IF they are sent at all. This has happened over and over again. When I called and made a complaint, I was told they were changing over to a "paperless system, " and that I would receive several "tickets, " to be paid, once a month. Once those tickets ran out, I had none left. I don't know who they are trying to kid, they are out to collect more money in late charges. I couldn't help but notice that they send those out pretty quickly.
