I will never bank through chase again
I am in the process of closing on a home. I have a chase credit card that I paid off. I called Chase customer service at the beginning of June to ask for a statement since the next one online wouldn't be until the end of June. I was sent to customer service reps that DID NOT SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH! they did not understand what I was asking for and said that they could not help me. So I cool off and call a couple days later. SAME THING! WHY can't I get a statement or a letter of zero balance?! BUT NO! Still can not help me! So my closing date was pushed back all because of CHASE BANK and their NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING "CUSTOMER SERVICE" REPS! I will NEVER bank through chase again.
Why should we waste our time banking with a company who sends MUCH NEEDED jobs to a foreign country to save money, all the while sacrificing quality! I will tell EVERYONE I know to AVOID CHASE BANK!!!

Allowed fraudulent charges on my acct now refuses to refund my money
I had a fraudulent charge go through my acct back in June of 2009. The # listed on my statement next to the charge was not a valid #. So I phoned Chase bank, they refunded my money and the insufficient fees back to my account gave me a new card and I thought wow that was easy. then a month later with no notice what so ever my account was negative, because Chase bank re-reversed all the fees causing me another $140 in overdraft fees so now the total is $334.31. I spoke with Chase numerous times trying to get the info that the merchant supposedly gave them, because Chase told me that if I should proof of the refund from the merchant then they would refund the insufficient fees back to my account. Chase told me its in the mail, they would email it to me and NOTHING. So I finally went into a local branch where they told me they could do NOTHING for me. I told them I wanted a # to the merchant and that I was not leaving until I got one. They gave me an 800# which was not valid, but somehow this 800 # new the # I needed to call. I called and called and demanded my money back from them they would continue to hang up on me over and over again. Finally, i researched and wrote to the Attorney General's office and what do you know I received a check in the mail from the merchant for $89.31 and I have faxed over all the info showing proof of the refund to Chase twice in the last 5 days and still no refund. I called today and they transferred me to a telephone banker for the refund. The lady is now saying that she can not refund MY MONEY to me because it is over 120 days. CHASE BANK has the WORST customer service in the world. I don't know why anyone would want to be a customer there. They are probably working with these scams for a kickback. I would like to know what kind of legal action I can take against Chase for my refund?

bank teller
Recently on my occasional visit to the bank, i noticed that one of the bank tellers looked familiar of a previous night hanging out with my friends, she noticed who i was and from that point, later on at night my girlfriend starts getting this phone call saying i was cheating on her, that it was a random girl but just wanted to let her know what i was doing the previous night, i dont really appreciate bank teller getting my personal information and most of all getting involved in my personal life, now for that im having problems with the mother of my son. All i want is this person to stop calling my girlfriend and making up lies because i have a pretty good clue on who this bank teller is.

Charge to cash a check
I had a personal check made ou to me for about $800 for a product I sold. It was from a chase bank so I went inside to cash it. The teller asked me if I had an account with Chase. I said I have a chase credit card and my 200, 000 mortgage was with Chase but I did not have a saving or checking account with chase. They said they would cash the check for a 6 dollar fee because I did not have a checking or savings account even though it was issed by chase. I left and put it in my bank for free. I HATE CHASE BANK!!!

Over Draft Charges
I notice my account was negative. I had check my balance online earlier that day and I was in the black so I know my account was only negative for a couple of hours. I made a balance transfer to make my account current and it was done before midnight which I was told that was the deadline to ensure that I would not be charged any over draft fees. The next day I checked to see the activity on my account and I notice Chase charged me $99 in overdraft fees. I was livid! I call Chase and they told me that I must make transfer before 11pm EASTERN time. They would only reserve $70. I have been charge about $500 by Chase within the last 7 months. In each instance I have had another account with Chase that has had over $1000 in another checking account. I felt that Chase should be able to link these account so that in there customer would not be charges these outrages amount of overdraft fees. For some reason this company doesnt offer this feature and it is frustrating to me that they can get away with ripping off their loyal customers!

Excessive overdraft fees
Chase Bank has A "LAW?" that Chase States" In Nevada of all items posted on the same date the largest of the amounts is entered first, then even if the others have been post to internet statement, and if this causes an overdraft of one after the largest (NOT FIRST) then all other debits will also be charged the overdraft fees. Hence You may originally have only one overdraft fee but due to this "Nevada Law" EVERY debit after that is charged. Sounds unethical, if not illegal, to me.

NSF Fees
WOOOOWWWW!!! Had a Washington Mutual account, and when we found out that they were "Acquired" by Chase, we asked around, and were told that even though Chase was taking over, all of the privileges that we had with WAMU would stay the same. Yeah right. WAMU used to have real overdraft protection, and would notify you days in advance for pending overdrafts so that you could deposit necessary funds into the account. Today, Saturday the 6th, at 4:34 A.M. we received an e-mail from chase, saying that our account was overdrawn, so I headed over to the branch and deposited in a check that was more than sufficient to cover everything. I get to the bank, and there was a negative $397.00 in the account. Scratched my head, and asked what it was for, and they let me know that there was $99.00 in overdraft fees. Make a long story short, I came back home, saw when everything was sent, and called customer service (What an oxymoron) and let them know what transpired. The clerk stated that they would reverse the funds, cool, no problem. 15 minutes later, they has only credited $66.00 of the $99.00 that was taken out, so I called back. They stated that they should not have even given any of the money back, and that I was lucky to get what I got. They also stated that even if they thought that I was right, they only give $77.00 a MONTH back in fees, even if it is their mess up. Told them if they do not give the remaining $33.00 back, that I would close the account, and they replied "Do what you have to do" and that was a lead supervisor. Mind you, I have a CC account, checking account, savings account AND a Business checking account with this company, and they just lost a customer over a lousy $33.00 HMMPPHHH, what nerve.

NSF Charges
Chase has this rule that we don't have any say so on. If more than one check hits the bank on the same day, they clear the largest first. That means they can clear the big check and bounce many smaller ones. Ok, that is fine but then they purposely arrange them to make that senario happen. I recently had them list 2 small charges at Jack and the Box, and a store as pending for 2 days. The 3rd day a charge for gas was listed (ahead of the small checks). I had deposited cash to make sure the others cleard and my balance was still positive. Of course then they were able to charge me $140 is NSF fees. They won't do anything for you if you have had any NSF charges waived. I am curious to what their NSF revenues are annually. It must be HUGE! I know it doesn't cost them $35 to process a NSF.

overdraft fees
I'm on a fixed income and had no problems with washington mutual since 2003. since chase took over i've had nothing but problems as far as overdraft fees as of this past week i'm up to $434.20 and thats checking my acct. at least 2 times a day. theres also charges i have no idea were they come from. and when i called to talk to some one twice i'v gotten the same person, this guy is very rude (more then the rest) he tells me "if i don't like it go somewere else and do my banking" now that lets you know whats up with this so called bank. They sure gave washington Mutual a bad name.chase bank is a ripp off ! How can they sleep at night knowing what there doing to people.
