PREDATORY APRS!
When WAMU was taken over by Chase, they bumped my credit card interest rate to 29.9 percent! I always pay my bills on time, never miss a payment. My husband is ill and lost his job, and I have been the sole wage-earner with no assistance from anyone or any agency. I called and asked them to lower my interest rate - and although they agreed that I am a loyal customer who always pays on time - they could NOT lower my annual percentage rate (APR) - period! They were RUDE and arrogant. I pointed out that they have no problem taking government money via us taxpayers but have no mercy nor courtesy for their customers! I strongly believe that there should be a CREDIT CARD REVOLUTION - and let these banks know what we think of their POWER TRIP! Perhaps if we all turned our backs on paying these exorbitant interest rates - they might come begging "hat in hand." It is disgusting how arrogant and unkind this bank is. It is truly stunning, and I hope that consumers rebel against their corporate greed!

Minimum Payment more than doubled
I have perfect credit and have had two different Chase Cards for about ten years and had been using 5% low interest rates to finance my graduate school. I have NEVER been late etc. they arbitrarily doubled my minimum from 2% to 5%, an extra $1500. I am going to refinance and get out of this with a home equity loan but Chase cannot be allowed to make RECORD PROFITS with OUR governments money by ruining good customers.
TELL EVERYONE what they have done. NONE of your friends should be doing any business with Chase. They cannot be trusted. Join the class action suit and file with your state's attorney general.

Checking Account Practices
Chase Bank is amazing, they placed a hold on a check after recieving the funds from Citibank. They gave me a deposit slip stating that they would place a hold on half the check amount on Thursday and then went back and placed the whole amount on hold on Friday evening. When I called them they were totally uncooperative and gave the impression that they could care less about the inconvience this caused. Even though I had a Chase document that stated one thing they informed me that they did not have to honor their word. Fortunately I have a friend who works their and who assisted me with my problem but the whole thing left a really bad impression and I can no longer trust Chase to be honest and forthcoming.

Unauthorized transfer between accounts
A dispute was filed for $240 of fraudulent charges when Chase bank was Washington Mutual. After the buy out Chase reversed the refunds of the fraudulent charges to make my account negative then, without my permission or informing me transferred money out of another account into the negative account. The transfer made brought my account in good standing to a zero balance of which 3 charges were “pending” before the transfer of which there were funds in the account to cover. Since they transferred the money out of my account thereby bringing the account in good standing to zero the 3 “pending” transactions incurred insufficient funds fees at $34 each for a total of a now negative balance of $102.
I know the banks have taken a hit. They are clearly out for blood and whatever they can suck out of anyone. I am not one of the people that defaulted on any loans to them. I am one of the many who is scraping by as best they can to survive these times. For a bank as big as chase, was a few hundred dollars worth it? I wonder if they will think it was worth it after I give the money I won’t be giving them to an attorney. CASE BANK IS A SCAM!!!

Ripped Off
I was ripped off using my Chase debit card by a fraudulent merchant and Chase bank would do nothing to help me. I did everything that I could think of to try to keep this vendor from taking additional unsolicited funds from my account. At every step, Chase thwarted all of my attempts to stop the fraud from occuring. This has been an ongoing problem for over 3 months now. They credited my account twice, only to take the funds back. I have been told lie after lie by this company, even though I submitted all of the evidence that I possessed to convince them, they still sided with the merchant. This financial institution was given billions of dollars of bailout money by the federal government, so their arrogance is unparalleled towards their so called " customers". When and if I rectify this problem, I will never bank with them again. Anyone starting a class action lawsuit, please let me know. It is very sad in these hard economic times to be stolen from not once, but twice.

Bait & Switch Refi Rates
BAIT & SWITCH!!!Chase bank mortgage loan officer LOCKED a 4.25% rate with a 1/8 pt back to us on a 5/1 ARM on July 26, 2009 after we paid what they required--a $750 application fee which they said was non-refundable, but we were not worried as we were "PRE-APPROVED" (We should have realized it was a SCAM at that point--But CHASE BANK??).
After repeated verbal "you're pre-approved" and after ALL OUR DOCUMENTS had been in their possession for over 45 days, Chase finally returned our call on OCTOBER 8, 2009 (2.5 MONTHS HAD ELAPSED with their loan officer telling us we were "PRE-APPROVED" repeatedly) to tell us that we could not have the 4.25% rate 5/1 ARM based on our documents, but they were offering us a 30yr Fixed loan at 5%----BAIT & SWITCH!!! A difference of approx. $150/mo. in payment!!!
SHAME ON THEM!!! THIS IS NOT WHAT PRESIDENT OBAMA INTENDED FOR BANKS TO DO WITH HIS CONSUMER ORIENTED BANKING ASSISTANCE!!!
Everyone interested in a CLASS ACTION Law Suit Against Chase Bank for similar behavior please email me at [email protected]. I will be looking into hiring an excellent attorney as well as sending this scam information to FANNIE MAE, FREDDIE MAC and President Obama officials to look into Chase's greedy and very likely illegal actions.

remodification
Chase Home Finance owns the mortgage to our home. We have been in modification for 10 months now, and they keep losing all of our personal info that we've sent them3 times, (taxes, bank statements etc.). Our mortgage payment has gone up $500 per month and now they're asking for all that info again. We are fed up almost to the point of not wanting to fight for our home any longer. It's extremely frustrating and we have not even been able to speak to a supervisor.

I HAD A CREDIT CARD WITH WAMU FOR YEARS. NEVER USED IT UNTIL LAST YEAR. HAD CREDIT LIMIT LOWERED IN THE MIDDLE OF BALANCE PLACING ME OVER THE LIMIT. UNABLE TO PAY OFF AT THE TIME. PLACED IT IN CREDIT PROTECTION IN OCTOBER 2008 WHEN HUSBAND GOT LAID OFF, AND CHASE OBTAINED ACCT AND CLOSED MY ACCT. I HAVE TRIED RESOLUTION WITH SEVERAL ASSOCIATES, AND HAVE HAD NO LUCK. I HAVE NOT PAID ON THIS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. WHATS THE POINT??? I WILL NEVER GET ABOVE WATER. I HAVE TRIED TALKING WITH THEM AND EVEN HAD AN ASSOCIATE OFFER FOR ME TO PAY A SETTLEMENT OVER 4 MONTHS FOR A REDUCED AMOUNT. I AGREED TO THIS AND HE WANTED AN IMMEDIATE PMT STATING THEY WOULD SEND A WRTTEN AGREEMENT . I AGREED TO PAY FIRST PMT ON FRIDAY (THIS WAS MONDAY). I CALLED B/C I NEVER RECIEVED AGREEMENT IN WRITING, AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NEVER APPROVED!!! THEY CALL ME EVERYDAY 6-8 TIMES MON-SUN. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING THEYRE SAYING AND HAVE FINALLY STARTED NOT ANSWERING PHONE. I ADMIT I OWE A PORTION, BUT NOT ALL OF THE CHARGES THEY HAVE ADDED. I AM LOOKING FOR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR THE UNETHICAL PRACTICES. I FEEL I HAVE BEEN DOUBLE CHARGED: TAKE MY BAILOUT MONEY AND THEN DOUBLE CHARGE ME!!! (BY THE WAY I SAID THIS TO 2 DIFFERENT ASSOCIATES AND WAS HUNG UP ON!!!)

Financial Devastation
I recieved a phone call from an employee of Chase bank stating I need to have enough money in my checking account to cover my automatic withdrawal for my monthly credit card payment because the bank was raising my pay back rate from 2% to 5% . I asked the employee why Chase bank was going to do this and the reply was "because we can change the rate anytime we want to. Read the fine print". I was financially devastated because the payment would go from $400.00 monthly to approx. $1, 200.00 per month. I explained that I was on a fixed income and again they said "you should have read the fine print". I had been paying on this account for several years and was never late or never missed a payment. They advertize on the radio constantly how caring and how the consumer can count on them, even how they can help you out. Don't be taken in by this SHOW NO MERCY BANK. THIS IS THE KIND OF HELP NO ONE NEEDS!

Lost Mortgage Payment
Chase lost a $1, 600 mortgage from me back in July and as of mid September has yet to find it or credit it to my account despite my showing them a cleared check (front and back) showing the money going into their bank and also sending them a bank statement showing the $1, 600 coming out of our acccount. They refuse to give a phone number other then their primary customer care (joke!) 800 number. And to make it worse, the 800 number routes me to the delinquent payment department where I get read the riot act and harrassed instead of being directed to their research department where my file is. Now they are harrassing me at work and threatening to ding my credit report if I don't pay the payment, which they already have. Unbelievable. Avoid this business at all costs is all I can recommend. wish me luck!
