Overcharged
I was offered by WaMu Bank's credit card with a low interest rate few years ago. WaMu now is taking over by Chase Bank. I lost my job last year and cause my financial difficulty. I recently just got a job. I had one time late payment in March, Chase Bank increase my interested charge to 29.99%. I called the customer service and the rep was very rude to me. She basically told me this is their new policy and she can't help me for that. She then hang up without further explanation. This is like a "Loan Shark" now. Bank with a 30% interest... This is not helping us in this tough time but ripping us as much as they can.

Wamu (Chase liars)
I am so sick of being ripped-off. These banks seem to do whatever they wish. I hope you go down anyway. The banks that should be getting the bail-outs are the small hometown banks.
I was never late with Wamu and had excellent payment record with them. I pay my bill thru bill pay automatically. Well, Chase has changed the due date 2 times and also raised the intrest rate all without any notification. Although they say they mailed notice to you. Yeah right! You should be sued!!!

File for Bankruptcy
My 76 yo widowed mother contacted Chase regarding her credit card. She has never been late with anyone regarding her payments and she has an excellent credit score. She called them to work with her over the next few months while she sold some of her assets. Because she is fiscally responsible, she spoke to the companies first as suggested by all financial experts. She was told to file bankruptcy by Chase. If she files bankruptcy, Chase will recieve only 10% of the total debt at most. Remmember that Chase recieved $25 million of our tax payment but they want help those who bailed them out!

Credit Card Gouging
Like others I have experienced outrageous gouging by Chase Bank. My credit card interest rate used to be 11 percent. By mistake, I went over my credit limit one month. I corrected the situation the next month, but Chase raised my interest rate to an outrageous 29.9 percent. I sent them a letter asking for a more reasonable rate. I got back a form letter, telling me "tough." I am closing my account, and I will never do business with Chase ever again. Beware of this bank.

Dishonest Banking Practices
I became a customer of Chase when WAMU was forced out of business. WAMU could have survived, I have been told and I am totally disgusted with the way Chase has taken over the business. I have four accounts with Chase, and after tomorrow I will have -0- accounts with Chase. I hope everyone closes their accounts with any of these large banks that President Obama bailed out. Bailing out poorly run institutions only allowed the poorly run institutions to continue abusing people and making very poor decisions that are geared to pay extremely large BONUSES to the bankers who do not contribute to society in any form. What exactly do bankers do to deserve such bonuses? While doctors have salaries that are controlled, Bankers have much higher salaries and they are not controlled. This is simply not okay.
I digress, the reason for this email has to do with the way Chase handles their customers. I had my Yahoo email acct compromised, and Blazing Words has been stealing from me ever since. Just last week Blazing Words put through another dishonest charge on another bank mind you - for $38.00 approx. Since Yahoo will not let me into my account due ot identity issues, I was forced to go to Identity Theft Protection. This flagged my account and Chase is freaking out that my cc might be fraudulently used. They have forced me to spend at least five hours of insulting telephone time speaking to numerous people in their fraud dept - I have practically given my entire life history to these jerks who will tell me all is well and that my cc is no longer being held up due to fear of fraudulent activity only to find they are lying and indeed my card is still under careful watch. But worse, of all the different fraud dept locations I have spoken to in the past week, I mostly talked with people in Manilla. This means Chase has taken personal information of their customers and they have moved that personal information to data banks in 3rd world countries. Does anyone else find this to be very wrong, very threatening potentially, and simply the most selfish act a corporation can do - giving 3rd world countries - thus, 3rd world people access to personal and private information of citizens in the US. This is unethical as can be.
I am glad Chase is so careful with this issue but they have taken it too far. How many hours does a person need to spend talking on the phone to convince them that the person is really who they say they are. Chase goes to incredible lengths to protect themselves and their ccards but they do not do the same for debit cards. Worse, I found some questionable charges on another acct I have with Chase and when I stated these were incorrect and I wished to have them removed, Chase could care less. They have sent me to one person and then another - its called the BIG RUNAROUND. While their responsibility should rest with their customer's safety and satisfaction, instead the remind me of a piggish older sibling who wants it all. By God, they act this way and they are determined to have it all.
Well, they can have it all but not from me. I am cancelling all accounts with Chase and I will move all my business to a local bank where the bankers know you, and you are treated with respect. I have had it with Chase and I hope all of you will consider doing this too. This is the most dishonest, unorganized bank I have ever dealt with. Chase sucks and so does Yahoo, Blazing Words, and all the rest of the greedy cheaters who simply want to make more for themselves no matter what is right or wrong.

CHASE Creates Pandemic with min payment increase
Chase has just started a new PANDEMIC for 850, 000 cardholders, myself included. Starting Aug 1st minimum payments will increase from 2% to 5%. This more than doubles the cardholders monthly payment and there is NO opt-out offered. Even though Chase testified before congress that they do offer opt-out options...LIARS...This " CHASE 2009 PANDEMIC" is going to reach further than the 850, 000 cardholders, more Homeless, bankruptcy, crime and yes even suicide. We all pay for these things. These accounts were only targeted because of low fixed rates that Chase could not change unless the cardholder defaulted which none of the 850, 000 holders did. Mine is 4.99. I personally feel that is a profitable rate. I know I can't get that kind of return anywhere. Right now I am ashamed to know that we let these kind of corporations do buisness in the USA!!!

Raising of rates
I have been doing business with Chase bank for 8 years. I have 2 credit cards, my business account, and an auto financing account with Chase. All were in good standing and paid on time. One month I had a computer problem, I thought I paid one of my credit card bills but did not. Chase automatically raised my apr from 7.9% to 27% +. I talked to countless Chase workers on the phone and went up the ladder but no one would cut me a break!
After all those years, and all of my business Chase would not cut me any slack! They are predatory, vile, loan sharks. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CHASE BANK!

Credit Card APR Gouging
My payment was due April 5th - we use online bill pay to pay our bills and the payment took longer in its processing than normal. They received the payment on April 7th. Was never late before and have not been late since. My once pleasant APR is now 29.99%. They were 'nice' enough to reverse the late fee but refuse to use any common sense or good judgment to retain a historically and present GOOD client that actually pays her bills and readjust the APR.
Went through two ANTI 'customer-service' agents who touted the company line well and finally got to their ANTI 'customer service' manager, Tristan, who soundly touted the same borg-like, "we-can't-actually-THINK-and-make-GOOD-business-decisions" line and then quite finally hung up on me. Mind you, I never used profanity or raised my voice to these people. I simply was presenting a strong argument they had no reasonable recourse for so they just had to hang up. Nice one CHASE. Will have that account paid off next month and will never, EVER, use CHASE again.
