harassment
chase called me and i am on a no call list i was called by chase and when i went to the bank to be taken off the list i was told a lie by Stan Wiejak. i was told i was taken of the list of calls to me and i got more calls continually . i had to go back to the bank and tell them again to take me off the list. and was finally told what to do to be taken off the list. this man Stan Wiejak lied to me when he told me i would be taken of the list and he threatend to remove me from banking at chase. he told me i would be taken out of my bank. that man is not for the people he is for himself. i have been in chase forever. i don't have a lot of money, i am a regular person and threatend by this man to lose my bank account. that is wrong. there are people that try and make a living and don't work at a bank. . to tell them they will be sent else where because they don't want these calls that are in question come to me? i am threatend to lose my bank account by a man that is a stuffed up person that shows his position in life as one that can control a person that works for a living. this man is a real jerk and stuffed up dodo head. maybe get in touch with him and tell him to not tell people that there bank accounts will be closed and they will be kicked out of the bank. thank you and GOD bless. burt

RIP ME OFF OF $750 APPLICATION FEE
I am also a victim of Chase Bank $750 Application fee. After telling me I am approved and after submitting all the papers and getting my money on my account, and after telling me too that I will sign all the papers on a specific date and get my cash out... Here is what they say:
I got decline by the underwriters why??? No specific answer as I been calling them and they do not tell me the real truth.

I just got an email from the:
FDIC and they told me this:
The FDIC insures the deposits of JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a national bank, however, it is regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Since your complaint deals with the operation of the institution, rather than deposit insurance, you should contact that agency for assistance.
You can reach the OCC at the following address:

I hope this information is helpful.

Mortgage Deceitful
I have a mortgage with Chase Bank, I feel that I have been mislead and misinformed. this is the problem I have just been divorced after three years of fighting my ex-spouse. I was force to paid my lawyer, maintain my house and my child that has a medical condition that must to be monitored carefully. I went to many workshops, HOPI and I also call Chase to let them know I am having problems keeping up with a $1700.00 mortgage and maintain everything else with one income when I am used to doing with two incomes. I was told "You are not in foreclosure, we can't do anything for you." Now, I was paying my mortgage and allowing my self to fall short on others bills . Oh! yea I am a chicago Public School Teacher. I make too much but not enough. I filled Bankrupcy and was told if I get a released form bankrupcy, pay at least one month behind mortgage, then my mortgage would be modified. This did not happen after I did as I was told. So, I asked for papers to modify my loan it was never sent to me. I went on the internet and pulled the modification papers my self sent in every thing asked, month later nothing still not done and they said they did not receive my papers when I know they did. Plus NACA sent a request for loan to be modified they did not response. I am able to pay my mortgage if it could be modified. I am trying to keep my home!! Can you help me? Sincerely Ms. Angela Nash

I tried e-mail and i got a reply stating that the person didn't know nothing about my case to call custumer care, and i did that, but they kept transfering me to diferent departments, I was not geting any where, I was transfered to the same departments a few times until they ung up on me.I sent an e-mail with a copy of the letter that I had received from Chase to the person that Chase told me to contact, and I still have no answer for that... Now I trying to refinace, and I'm not geting any where, even dought they allready cashed my $395.00 check that they requested. I don't know what to do?? Can any body help me????

not refunding money due
while doing my online banking on the 18th of may, i noticed to ATM withdrawals on my account from the 16th for 100.00 and 20.00 plus ATM fees totaling 10.00. the withdrawals were at the local market here. we never use non bank ATM's. plus i was out of town and have proof. i called the bank, explained the situation, was told by the clerk that they'd send me a blue envelope and form, to fill it out with my story and send it in via fax at the bank. Plus they said they'd credit my account for 130.00 . 4 days came and went, and nothing in the mail OR my account. so i called the bank. i was told less than 48 hours after the call they denied my claim. They never sent me the paperwork, never asked my side of it, never asked for my proof, NOTHING. today i've spoken to 4 supervisors and they are reopening the case, but i have to wait 5 working days for the credit, and if they deny the claim AGAIN then i'm out 130.00. i make 970.00 a month, so 130.00 is a big deal! plus, if they go over my account, they'll see i NEVER use any ATM except the one at the bank because of the fees. we're switching to Wells Fargo. either that or we're putting our money under the mattress.

Charging for Services
Chase payment tech, online merchant services failed to properly open my Merchant credit card account, but still had the nerve to take the monthly fee.

Their bank is not friendly, just the opposite, even scary at times to have people from across the room yell "hi" to you.

Service charges of $33.00 are common when your account is overdrawn depite having overdraft protection (just means they will pay the check, but will still charge you). Trying to get it refunded often meets with rude responses from customer service reps, if you can get ahold of them, saying "well its not our fault, so I can't do anything for you."

Overcharged
I was with WaMu for years and as soon as this company chang to Chase my problem started. I had to sign to new chase online banking and also they ask me for sign up paperless bill and how "this is very good for environment and etc.." and also they suppose to send me email alert as well but that never happened and I end up with late fee and finance charge and increase my APR from 2.99 to 29.99 !! After be on phone so many times and talk to so many different agents they did accept internet banking error from them, but they only revers late fee and fix APR but they did not return my $164.00 finance charge, and after I said I will cancel my account they told me fine and I have to pay for them mistake .it is apparent that Chase Bank is not in it for the Customer Service.Chase should keep in mind that as they say, one unhappy customer is likely to tell people about a bad experience that they had with that company. I did cancel my card and never ever go with this company again.

Worst bank on earth
The CHASE bank took over for Washington Mutual not too long ago. Last month I realized I had forgotten to mail my payment in time for it to be received by the due date of 4/7/09. I decided on 4/7/09 to make the payment by phone so it WOULDN'T be late. I called, made the payment by phone and got charged $9.95. Today, when looking at my May bill, I realized they had a late payment fee for $39.00 on my bill. When I called the "advisor", no longer called customer service!!, I was told that I had made my payment by phone AFTER 4pm eastern time which is apparently 3pm my time in Biloxi, MS. I pointed out that they had charged me $9.95 to pay it by phone and that if I had known they were going to count it as late, I would have just mailed it in and not paid by phone. I asked them to take one of those charges off, she refused. I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told a supervisor wouldn't take my call and that there was NO ONE over her for me to talk to. Frustrated, I asked if she was refusing to let me speak to a supervisor, she said "CORRECT!!" I couldn't believe it! I told her to cancel my account, which she did. She made a few more smart aleck remarks and I just told her I'd call back and speak with someone else.

I called back and was put on the phone with a male supervisor named "Christopher". I explained the situation and asked about if he REALLY thought Chase was being fair? He didn't answer but made it clear that they would not take off any charges, and that they had taken over for Washington Mutual and had made changes. Realize there was never any loud speaking or name calling, just simply letting me know that they no longer want or apparently need my business. He even told me that while he sympathized, if I wanted to re-open my account today, I would have to be re-evaluated. I told him to forget it. It was obvious they didn't care if they lost customers.

I am just shocked!! I had no idea there was no more customer service at these credit card companies. What the hell did congress give these huge companies all this money for if they are going to be so horrible to the public??? I hope one day they send me a request to get a card. They will get an earful!!

Scam charges
Chase took over Wamu and my credit card balance. With WAMU I signed up for a payment reminder so I would not forget to make my payment. This worked very well for me until Chase took over, switched the system and I did not receive a reminder. When it dawned on me I hadn't made the payment I logged on and discovered not only had I been assessed a $39 late fee, they had DOUBLED my interest to 29.99%. The late fee I would have been willing to live with, even though I don't feel this is solely my fault, and I believe that when any system is in transition, a good institution will realize that these sorts of things will happen and as a measure of goodwill, be willing to eliminate fees such as this. But seeing as how I don't make late payments on a regular basis I thought doubling the interest rate was just ridiculous. I didn't bother to argue, because I know two other people that were hit with late fees with Chase and Chase refused to reconsider, even at the expense of losing a good customer. What I did was go to my credit union and transfer my sizeable balance (which I should have done long ago) to my credit card there for 2.99%. But I will pursue the FDIC avenue I read about, because if I didn't have good credit and wasn't able to do the transfer elsewhere, I would be stuck and I know that happens to people and it's terrible. I wrote a complaint to Chase just to let them know they had lost my business (transfer was already underway) and they wrote back that they were sorry but they just couldn't reverse that fee. That's fine. My local community credit union, which manages its assets responsibly and didn't need federal bailout money, will now be earning the reasonable interest fee from me. I did find the comment amusing about how if we owe the money we should pay it and quit complaining: no one has had to bail me out. I pay my debt. I was 2 days late on a payment during a bank transition period and I got no slack. These thieving banks KNOWINGLY engaged in bad business practices, were on the verge of going bankrupt, and MY tax dollars bailed them out. Amazing.
