Wire transfer fee
I was charged $25 for a wire transfer – my first – and when I called to see if they would remove the fee they could not because they said it was a disclosed fee. It’s included in the terms of use – which everyone reads of course! – and also prior to the wire transfer it says you “may be charged a fee.” There is no transparency. I have been a Chase customer for more than 10 years. I’m moving my money to another bank. This $25 fee is ridiculous.

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY THEN LIE TO YOU
Banks steal from you. Bit by bit, in the sneakiest of ways, they take your money. Chase Bank, my current and soon to be former bank, is notorious for this. One disgusting and tiresome trick so many banks use, and Chase is no exception, is to rearrange the order of your transactions causing your account to become overdrawn, an action which consequently and subsequently incurs unexpected overdraft fees. This next act of deceit happened to me before but I let it slide because I couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong. This time I paid closer attention to details and realized what the b*****ds did... I stayed at a hotel with my family. The total cost for our stay was $111.48. An extra $16.72 was added on to this total by the hotel to cover any extra expenses or charges. This brought the grand total of our hotel stay to $128.20. On our drive to this hotel, we stopped at Domino's Pizza. I put in an order and noticed the amount was less than I should be paying. The incorrect amount charged was $23.36. The friendly employee recalculated, voided out the $23.36 and charged me the correct amount of $29.88. Now fast forward, vacation is over, I go home, check my online statement and see that the charge of $128.20 from the hotel is there and BOTH Domino's transactions are there. All these debits are reflected in my 'available balance'. I called the hotel right away. They said the extra charge of $16.72 would 'drop off' my bank account in a couple of days. I called Domino's Pizza. They said the incorrect amount of $23.36 would drop off my account in a couple of days. Note, the total 'overcharge' of $40.08 had been included in my 'available balance'; had been deducted from my account. On the second day after our return, I saw that both charges had indeed 'dropped off', but my available balance was the same. The $40.08 was not reimbursed, not added back to my balance. $40.08 had been removed from my account balance. When the extra charges 'dropped off', the $40.08 was not reinstated, not returned. In other words, the b*****ds kept it! I called Chase right away, fuming. The woman I spoke to acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about and insulted my intelligence further by informing me that "...There are no extra charges. The correct charge is right there on your statement. There ARE no extra charges." Ugh!! I felt as if I were in an old TV episode of the Twilight Zone! I ended up hanging up on the woman out of sheer frustration!
I cannot WAIT to get as far away from Chase as I can. I'm headed to our local Credit Union. From what I understand, they, unlike banks, aren't disgustingly greedy and won't (knock on wood) steal my money!

bad business
chase bank has been nothing but problems 800 # dont speak english dont take notes screws things up nsf for there fault and cant do nothing about it ill never recommend or use again they cant even close a account properly or do what you ask then then while your acct is negative they will still run stuff thru even thou you dont have overdraft protection ? so they can nsf you more for more money what a joke and the managers cant even do anything who can sad for a bank as big as they r

No help on fraud ACH charges
Back in 2009 someone did Fraudulent ACH charges against my company for almost 70, 000.00 Because I did not make my complaint within 30 days, Chase refused to help me! I tried to speak to someone and no one would help!! I have tried to recover these monies that have hurt my business greatly!! Avoid Chase at all costs!!

wrong closing date
Nicole Sapp of Chase Bank set a closing date of 4-3-11 for a home refinancing loan. My son took off work to drive me to Plano, Tx, which is an hour drive from my home in Sherman, Tx. Supposed closing was supposed to be at 10:00 am at Superior Abstract in Plano. 5 min. before we arrived, I received a call from Damien of Chase Bank in Mckinney stating that closing would NOT occur that day, but the next day. Basically, I closed 2 days later at Sherman Title Co. in Sherman, Tx., where I live. Should have been set up there at the beginning. I was even left a msg. from Nicole Sapp the evening before to confirm closing time/date. When we confronted Damien with Chase's error, he quickly agreed that we should be compensated for my son's taking off work & gas for unwarranted trip. There should have been a 24 hr. nottfication of closing delay.
I contacted Customer Serv. when no contact was made to me by either Damien or Nicole Sapp. Cust. serv. Kelly Hicks then, over a period of WEEKS called me promising compensation, apologies, etc., etc. She said everyone (?) agreed that compensation should be made. I feel this was just a stalling procedure by Chase to once again cheat its customers! If I had only did research on Chase at the beginning (been w/them over 3 yrs.), I would have NEVER done business with them. AND, I will announce to everyone what a cheat they are, and get away from them as soon as I possibly can!

Incompetence & Fee Gouging
I was very happy with WAMU, and when they were taken over by Chase Bank I hoped for the best. Haven't gotten it. Nothing but problems due to their incompetent computer systems, restrictive policies, and argumentative telephone Customer Support. Most recent event happened today, and I'm still steaming. While reconciling my savings account I found a $3.00 Extra Withdrawal Fee. I called Customer Support. They asked me to verify my address, and I gave it to them. They responded with "That is not correct". Long story short on THIS incompetence is I moved 9 months before and immediately changed my bank address online, and never had a problem with prior calls for support until now. It turned out the old address was still on file but had NO ACCOUNTS ASSIGNED TO IT, all 5 of my accounts were properly assigned to my current address BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DATA WAS OUT OF DATE (even though there was no problem LAST MONTH when I called to have them correct yet another problem and the statement address was correct). Had to answer a bunch of security questions to verify my account. Forced them to DELETE the erroneous address. THEN we finally got to my problem. You're allowed 4 withdrawals before a fee is charged. I had one, but they pointed out 2 TRANSFERS TO CHECKING which are NOW considered to be "withdrawals" even though the money is still in the bank. I pointed out that was only 3 withdrawals. The rep said "but there's a more recent withdrawal". I pointed out that there was a withdrawal one day AFTER the statement period, therefore it should not be counted and, if it were, it would STILL BE within the 4 withdrawal limit. The rep begrudgingly reversed the bogus charge with a $3.00 credit. I pointed out to him that Chase has the most incompetent Information Technology department I've ever dealt with. I will be closing all 5 of my accounts at the earliest possible opportunity. THIS IS THE MOST INCOMPETENT BANK ON PLANET EARTH!!!

UNEXCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
SINCE THE LATER PART OF MAY, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO OBTAIN AN ANSWER FROM THE BRANCH MANAGER IN A REQUEST TO IF IT WAS ALL POSSIBLE TO GRANT GIVING MY PARENT'S THE REMAINING BALANCE FROM THEIR CHECKING ACCOUNT THAT WAS CLOSED BY CHASE THEMSELVES BY RECIEVING IT AT THE BRANCH BANK IN PHOENIX INSTEAD OF SENDING IT OFF IN THE MAIL AND THEREFORE TAKING UP TO A MONTH BEFORE RECIEVING THEIR FUNDS. I STRESSED THAT THEY NEEDED THOSE FUNDS TO LIVE ON FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL AND IF NOT RECIEVED SOON THAT DAMAGES WOULD ACCURE SUCH AS IT DID BY CANCELATIONS OF INSURANCE, DISCONNECTIONS, LATE FEE'S, PENALTIES, NO MONEY FOR MEDICATIONS THAT THEY TAKE TO JUST LIVE. NO GASOLINE TO TRANSPORT ONE TO DIALYSIS TREATMENTS. IT WAS NEEDED DESPARATELY .
WELL I NEVER RECIEVED AN ANSWER FROM HER UNTIL I HAD MADE A COMPLAINT TO THE 1-800 NUMBER AND MENTIONED THAT THE BANK IN QUESTION MUST HAVE MANY MANAGER'S BECAUSE THERE WAS AN INTEREST IN PEOPLE WHO WORKED IN SAYING THEY HELD THAT TITLE. THAT PERSON DID GIVE ME AN ANSWER TO HAVING MY PARENTS RECIEVING THEIR MONEY THERE . HIS REPLY WAS OH, I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND SINCE CHASE HAS BEEN LOOSING MONEY LATELY I FEEL ITS IN THE BEST INTEREST AND AT MY DISCRESSION NOT TO FILL THAT REQUEST . I CAN NOT DO THAT, I'M SORRY FOR THE INCONVIENCE ...QUOTED ONE PERSON POSING AS THE MANAGER THAT DAY . NOW WHEN I FINALLY SPOKE WITH THE REAL MANAGER WHO'S NAME IS SANDRA SAS SHE STATED BUT WE JUST CAN'T DO THAT THERE IS NO MONEY IN AN ACCOUNT TO DO SO. THAT WAS FROM THE VERY LIPS OF THE REAL BRANCH MANAGER.( THAT LAST SENTENCE) I DO NOT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT OR ACCESS TO FIND OUT ABOUT WHERE AND HOW MUCH AND WHEN THE BALANCE OF THE ACCOUNT OR CHECK WILL BE . YOU CAN CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT'S THE SAME THING I WOULD HAVE TO DO SO YOU WOULD FIND OUT WHAT I WOULD FIND OUT. LOOK I SAID TO HER, ITS TO LATE TO HAVE A CHECK CUT HERE TODAY, BUT YOU ARE THE BRANCH MANAGER AND THERE IS AN AMOUNT OF 4, 212.00 THAT BELONGS TO MY PARENT'S THAT WAS ONCE RECIEVED IN THIS BANK AND NOW ITS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND AT THIS MOMENT. YOU BETTER FIND THERE MONEY AND LET ME KNOW HOW MUCH, WHERE IT IS, WHAT STATE IT WAS MAILED FROM, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE AND I WANT TO KNOW TODAY. THE CHECK FINALLY CAME AFTER ALOT OF STRUGGLING THE WHOLE MONTH FOR THEM. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH AN ORDEAL AS THIS, I MEAN THIS ELDERLY COUPLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GRANTED THERE FUNDS AS SOON AS THAT ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED. THERE WAS SO MUCH HARDACHE AND STRESS THAT IT PUT MY FATHER IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND ADMITTED. THEY HAVE TO OTHER ACCOUNT'S WITH CHASE A EQUITY LINE LOAN AND A CREDIT CARD. I AM NOT PAYING THE LATE FEE'S ON THESE. AND ACTUALLY CHASE HAS CHARGED THEM SO MANY PENALTY FEE'S DURING THEIR RECENT FINANCIAL STRUGGLE THIS YEAR THAT THAT'S WHAT GOT THEM IN A DEEPER WHOLE THEY COULD NEVER GET OUT OFF WHICH RESULTED IN THE DECISION OF CLOSING THERE CHECKING ACCOUNT. AND CAUSING EVEN MORE DURESS. CHASE EMPLOYESS OF THAT BANK YOU ARE A PATHETIC, NON-QUALIFIED GROUP OF PEOPLE AND YOUR SERVICE PERFORMANCE AND SKILLS ARE UNSATISFACTORY. IF YOUR SUPERIORS WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE VIEWED YOUR PERFORMANCE TO THIS SITUATION YOU ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A PINK SLIP. HEY, I 'M GIVING AWAY ONE OR TWO FREE PACKAGES OF RUBBER'S THIS WEEK, IN FRONT OF THE BANK THERE. I'M GOING TO HAVE A SIGN SAYING, YOU MIGHT WANT ONE OF THESE BEFORE YOU GO INSIDE, YA KNOW JUST FOR PROTECTION.!!! MY LAST WORDS IS SANDRA AND YOUR CREW IN PHOENIX, YOU HAVENT' HEARD THE LAST MY SLASHING ABOUT THIS, " I'M SUPER SERIAL"!!

cutting Air Mile benefits
Chase used to give me Continental One Pass Miles with my business debit card. I received a notice that they decided to cut that benefit, and included and application for a Chase credit card with the air miles rewards. Nevermind that my bank rep tried to say that it was now against the law for them to offer the rewards with the debit card, which is blatantly false... Anyway, long story short, despite a long history of both business and personal accounts with Chase, lines of credit, etc, all in good standing, never late, Chase denied my application for a credit card with air miles rewards. In fairness, yes, I did have a trouble with my credit score because I did a remod on my mortgage (not with Chase) last year. But that is the single, one and only black mark on my credit history. I feel that there was zero personal consideration given to my application.

I couldn't believe it!, I was worried about getting close to the end of my messily money I get from disability as its not even the 15th of the month and low and behold...Chase atm states we are now this month gonna charge $1.00 for atm statements !!!

As well, I was concerned, as the statement said $5.35 cents left so, yesterday I took myself down to my local branch and said whats with my bal $5.35, she looked up my account it stated a little bit more like a hundred. HUH? I said. Then I said u r actually gonna charge me to get a printout at the atm????? New policy she says.
I said then when my accvount reads $5.35 cents and then I come in here and you say $100.00 and something and without the receipt how can one dispute a charge or not? Plus the issue of the difference of moneys, she could not explain it, and she said well $100.00 plus is what is in there now, and she didn't know why the atm said $5.35 cents the night before...

How much bail out did out government give the Banks to have them now charge their OWN CUSTOMERS A DOLLAR a pop for an ATM PRINTOUT!!! GHAWWWWWWWWW!!!
Ridiculas !!! And time to find another bank to bank with, which I told her to tell the president of her Bank. America is becoming so money grabbing and its the little people that pay the price !!!

Steeling my money
Switched to chase bank payment tech for my credit card prossessing and payment tech taken $30, 000.00 dollars of mine on march 3rd and will not give it back, I earned the money, not them, they told me they will prosess the money upon inspection of our business upon there convienence
