Chase system gave me an error
On the 20th of Nov I attempted to make a payment on my car loan, so it would not be late. I usually do this through my own credit union. For some reason Chase system gave me an error and could not complete the transaction. So I went to a Chase branch on the 21st and paid the car payment.
It was posted to my account that day and withdrawn on the following Monday. Today I checked my account and Chase had issued a preauthorized check with their check number not mine and withdrew another payment plus charged me $10.00 for the processing. This is my rent money. When I tried speaking with someone and pleaded my case I was told there was nothing they could do.
That I have to prove the money came out of my account to them when it is right there on the screen of both my and their computer. I have to submit in writing and submit to a review board for them to determine if I get my money that they took without my authorization. This is fraud. If I use some one credit card without their knowledge, it’s fraud and this is not fraud.
They put the routing number from my check on their check. The number they put on the check is incorrect because on the preauthorization that number was for Farmers insurance check. I am going to take my car loan to another financial institution as soon as I can. This is a wrong I’m going to have my bank file a fraud charge against them.

Rip Off
DONT DO IT!! We were offered and excepeted a rate reduction for our loan on a property in Texas. After agreeing to a rate we paid an applicatin fee of $395.00 and a closing fee of about $450.00 after the the loan was approved. We signed all the closing docs with a Notary and had a date to start the new loan a month later. Then all hell broke loose. To make a long story short our loan officer and Chase bank in San Diego were not authorized to make loans for Texas properties. Our officer was still in training and didn't know he couldn't sell a Loan Mod for a Texas Property. We did not look for this loan, they called us! They wanted to start all over again with a new rate that was not exceptable to us. We said that we weren't interested in a new rate and wanted a refund. They said they would not refund the App. fee and then charged us for the $175.00 for the Notary! We are going to be suing in small claims but this is a joke. They won't even return our calls. We have been a Chase customer with no late or missed payments for about 5 years. I will be looking to refi with someone else. Chase is a Rippoff...WTF Dont say you haven't been warned!!!

unethical business
Opened a bank account at local branch with a coupon that was mailed to me for a rebate of $125. that was supposed to be credited to my account when a monthly direct deposit was made to my new account. Several months have gone by without any credit being made, so I contacted Chase using telephone number that was on my statement.
It was there that I started to get irritated, as they asked what the coupon code was (didn't know that I needed to keep record of that) and the name of the person who opened the account and the date. Now doesn't Chase have all this information in their data base? OF course they do. As a sidenote I spoke to three people to get to this point and was told that they could not give me Chase's corporate telephone number (which I got at a later date thru investigation of mine 800 chase99).
Now I am waiting to hear back from Chase to whether they will credit my account with the $125., or as the person at the executive office tells me 'that there is a slim chance' of this happening, as it's not in their data base.
What kind of company is this? Why do they act so unethical? Why did our gov't give them a bailout when they act so dishonest?

ripped off 15 yr old daughter
My daughter started a student savings account in 3rd grade with washington mutual. She put in $5 a week and she increased it to $10 a week. She also saved her birthday and christmas money. When she had enough money $1, oooo she bought a cd. Saved another $1000 and bought another cd which was later combined into one. She is now 15 and wanted to cash in her cd and buy buy one at our credit union. As you no chase has now taken over the bank, because she was 20 days passed the cd's renewal date they charged her more than the interest she had earned all those years plus some of her own money. Shame on you chase bank for treating a child like this. The bank personal was mean to my daughter as well. Shame on you obama for bailing out big business that treat our children this way.

Liars
Chase Bank Declined Card at a local camera store. Called in to find out why, they transfer me to the debit card fraud division they tell me that it declined pending review,
They verify that I was trying to purchase from the store then free my card.
2 hours latter and a 1/2 hour in to calling my bank again. The fraud dept claims that it was a vendor error and that they caused my card to be declined.
Facts:1 camera store swiped my card. They did not enter in any information. 2 Chase employs changed there story.3 There customer service is non existent.4 They would like to charge the poor to hold there money.

Kept us in Modification for 3 years..
Chase Bank kept us in Modification for 3 years There is a way to stop them cold dead in their tracks, , File a chapter 13 on them.. they CAN NOT continue a foreclosure, it has to be done before the day of the sale...Get a lawyer that handles 13 filings..Chase is the worst offender of this Modification process ever...you must protect your self...as long as you can make payments, a 13 allows you to pay off arrears over a 3 or 5 year period...and they have NO choice, but to accept it...we were kept in modification for 3 years, then we were suddenly not approved.. and they demanded all the back money and all the difference in the lowered payments up front, they will not accept a payment now...so we get farther behind every month...they say we must clear up the back payments and all the other fees they have now charged before they will accept another payment...I know that a 13 will stop them, we have already gotten a lawyer who is reputable and knows the law... oh and ruin the credit? don't even worry about that Chase already has or will because they WILL report all the missed refused payments, and they report you as late for the entire term you were under modification...so they have already trashed your credit, or will soon... basically don't sweat it file 13 ...

Friggin joke
I opened an account with my roommate at Chase in November 2010. They assigned me some banker who could barely speak and/or understand English, but we managed to figure it all out. -- SO, I THOUGHT!
First -- they send me a debit card that WASNT linked to an account. Who the [f]uck does that?? What's the point? Can't use it!
Second -- they charged a withdrawal fee AFTER I withdrew from an actual teller at Chase. Ummmm... dumb[a]sses.
Third -- They froze my account due to "fraud" on Christmas Eve without so much as a phone call. (At LEAST when it happened at Washington Mutual they called the number I gave them on file and asked me if I had made those purchases...)
Fourth -- They froze my account AGAIN due to "fraud" and I wasn't able to pay my rent.
Now.. all these alleged FRAUD charges -- BULLSHYT. I don't withdraw from random ATMS or buy anything online. They're always [f]uckin with my money in some way and I can't stand it.
My story isn't as bad as most of yours but I feel your pain. DOWN WITH CHASE!!!
***.K. Chase! I hate their business.

FEES!!!
Consumers!!! Alert!! Chase now has a hidden $10.00 fee each and every time you use your cash reserve, IN ADDITION, to the interest charge you pay them each month. I have a large cash reserve on my account and everytime I use it now, since Jan. 1st 2010, I am charged a fee of $10.00 as i said, in addition to the interest charge on that money. There was no mention of this in my statements, and I happen to catch it this month. I have been with Chase since I was 10 years old, I have a large amount of money in the bank and I keep it there and I don't mind paying the interest on money I borrow monthly and then pay back. BUT a $10.00 FEE? NO I will not pay this I will move my money and I suggest you do so also. This bank is sneaky with all their hidden fees and charges. Pay attention consumers or be ripped off by CHASE BANK.

Beware
I opened an Account with Chase. they carged me $25.00 anual fee for using my DEBIT card as a Credit to earn REWARD POINTS. so I did
after few months I was a victim of ONLINE SCAM. I called Chase to Dispute the Charges. They said. I was lied to.
the debit card dispute is not same as CREDIT CARD DISPUTE. and I lost $305.00 relying on CHASE BANK. they let the Crooks take my money even after they verifyed the Scam.
CHASE BANK SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY FOR TV. ADD TO PROMOTE THIER DEBIT CARD
JUST TO MAKE MONEY FROM SIGNATURE COMMISSION. YOU HAVE NO PROTECTION BY USING THE DEBIT CARD. if you get scamed. it is your loss.
ADVISE: Use your Credit card. you are protected. *** with chase Debit card. I never going to use it again. also closing my account at CHASE.
they are siding with the crooks and scam artist.

flood insurance requirement
To Whom It May Concern,
I am a 28 year old full time college student and full time nurse. I saved for a 20% down payment on a home and bought my first house on September of 2010. I bought something I could afford, a foreclosure for $121, 550. I found I needed flood insurance in addition to homeowners. This requirement is related to a creek in the backyard, which was added to a new flood map in 2010. My bank Cincinnati Federal required $102, 000 in flood insurance coverage which is $829 per year. The loan was sold to Chase Home Finance LLC. Chase is requiring $220, 000 in flood insurance coverage (80% of the Replacement cost of the home per home owners insurance) and the loan amount is $97, 240.
According to policy at Chase the homeowner does not have the right to maintain flood insurance coverage for the loan amount. This amount would cover the bank for the loan and the homeowner would assume all remaining risks in the event of a flood. I can see why so many people are forced into foreclosure. I am now required to pay over $800 additional per year in order to be insured for $220, 000. I am required to purchase and pay this amount as soon as possible or Chase will purchase a policy, likely costing more and will charge my escrow account.
The policy at Chase and likely at other banks is very concerning for me and everyone with a loan on a home in a flood zone. There is no protection for homeowners from the banks devastating requirements. The homeowner should responsible for the loan amount. Anything more should be optional, not required. Urgent changes are needed to put a stop to banks strong arming homeowners into the requirement for expensive flood insurance coverage they could never afford. Management at Chase was to return my call concerning this policy in 48 hours, this time has passed with no contact from Chase. All support would be greatly appreciated and beneficial to all homeowners with homes considered to be in a flood area.
Sincerely,
Catherine Gilday
