I've been with Chase mastercard for a long time, but when the economy has gone down Chase has changed it's customer treatment. Families like us are going through a hard time with finances and jobs that makes it difficult for us to survive. But Chase is not making it any easier for us. Yes we have been late on payments to the point when my husband had to give Chase our checking account number to make a payment. Ever since then, which was 6 months ago, Chase has been automatically taking payments out of our checking account without our authorization and us knowing about the transaction. Because of these incidents our family has suffered from lack of food in our house, care for our child, and medical/dental treatment. Sadly, i had to go to my family for help financially. My husband called Chase several times to ask why they went behind our backs taking money without our authorization. They said basically if they didn't they would come after us and sue us. THey knew my husband had lost jobs because of the economy but they didn't care. As long as they get there money from their customers they don't care whose family they hurt. It hurts me that we have credit card companys like CHASE MASTERCARD/VISA that have no heart or soul of wanting to try to help us in todays economy. In all, CHASE sucks and once we pay it off i will never do business with them again. I will tell everyone of their bad deeds, NEVER AGAIN RESPECT CHASE MASTERCARD.

I've also had a $10/month service charge added to the account where I had balance supposedly at 3.99% and 4.99% for life of the balance. In addition, the minimum payment is tripled. As others are reporting, I was offered the old minimum payments if I agreed on a higher interest rate.

This is the sleaziest move yet that I have seen in a bank/credit card company. They don't deserve any money from the government.
