Chase Mortgage Co. Reviews

Modification Request
I have trying to get a Chase Mortgatge Modification since April of 2009. Every time I call I get transferred from department to department telling me I have to resubmit paperwork because it has expired or I didn't send in the appropriate documentation. I have completed the 4506T form at least six times now and submitted it and yet they still cannot help me figure out what I qualify for. The latest phone call representative I spoke with told me I was on a trial plan however, I have no documentation supporting such and she was unable to tell me what the payments were reduced to. These people give you the run around every time you call and it is ridiculous!! They claim they want to help however no one there is capable of answering any questions or to get you the help you need.

Bad service
There's a very good reason the large banking companies are in hot water. They deserve tighter regulation and punitive measures. I'm enraged with Chase, our home-mortgage co. A notice appeared on our January statement informing us that we had purchased an "optional product" that we had NOT purchased. It directed us to call if we had any questions about the $9.99/month charge. I called -- several times. Of course, nobody answered after 5 p.m. or on weekends, and I was placed on hold for what seemed like forever listening to awful music, then giving up in the interest of my time. I finally got through this morning only to learn that the product we had not purchased but were being charged for was emergency-road service. WHAT THE HELL??!! This was on our mortgage statement??!!! It's an opt-out thing people. Examine your statements closely. If you don't opt out, you're automatically getting charged whether you want/need it or not. I called Chase to tell officials there how angry I was that they allowed this to be placed on our mortgage statement. Well, you know how it went: Call, punch in numbers, listen to more skin-crawling music. Finally, after interminable waits, I got three different "customer-care" representatives who simply would NOT listen to me, but just kept reading from their script. I told each one -- Trish, Sherry, Arneeka -- that I didn't want to dump on them but someone who is paid much more to listen to an angry customer. They just kept reading from their scripts asking me questions about my account that were totally irrelevant to the purpose of my call: To complain to a manager about how I felt betrayed and screwed by Chase. Finally, I loudly told one of the women that I didn't want to answer any more of her questions and demanded that she puh-leeze transfer me to a manager. Well, 10 minutes later, after she came back three times to apologize for my wait but she was still looking for a manager to take my complaint, I told her enough. I had wasted my entire morning between the call to the road-service company that got prominent space on my mortgage statement, and various low-level "customer-care" reps who wouldn't listen and could not talk except from a script, and I still could NEVER speak to a manager. Yes, I'm mad as hell. When I complete this message, I'm going to search other public sites where I can post my grievance about Chase, its awful customer service, its willingness to sell customer accounts to road-service companies with only opt-out provisions, its eagerness to screw its customers every and any way it can. Then I'm going to write each member of my Congressional delegation telling them to protect us from this type of predatory behavior. I caution current customers or those searching for a mortgage-loan company: BEWARE!!! Stay away from Chase. You'll be very sorry if you enter into a business relationship with this monstrous, blood-sucking company.
