Racist and Rip Off
I decided to go with Chase mortgage for my home loan. They pre approved me. I wanted to close on a home and my loan officer promised me within 30 days. My loan officer gave the papers to the underwriter who took a long time and asked for the same documents over and over. Towards the end of 30 days both my loan officer and underwriter stopped returning my calls. They wouldn't tell me what was wrong and finally I found out my loan officer quit the company and another person was assigned. I was about to loose the home since the contract was running out. I suspected Chase didnt want to give me the loan b/c of my ethnicity. My underwriter send me a email saying my loan be not approved b/c of my credit history. This wasnt a issue when I was pre approved under the same credit history. I actually paid of more credit cards and send him the proof. The new loan officer refused to work with me to see what can be done. For all this 60 days passed and they said they won't work. So if you are thinking about going with Chase Mortgage think again. You will loose your dream home you want b/c they are incompetent and worthless employees and the company is racist.

loan modification fraud
Good News to all victims of loan mod fraud by Chase. No one was listening to us until service men and women serving OUR country were victims too. Now the right people are listening!! So JUST hang on.I am a researcher and have survived 9 illegal foreclosure attempts and want to help everyone else do the same. First of all no matter what...don't stop making your payments even if they won't accept them. (You want them to be the ones to breach the contract) You have to go in court with clean hands. TODAY send a certified written request.(bad people are trying to sale you this when it's FREE!!) In the request demand within 30 days for a response to . A forensic audit. .Proof of the Document . A MERS report showing who services your mortgage. I am here to tell you don't let them bully you with scare tactics. NO matter what their attys try to use to make you think to sign your rights away DONT YOU DARE!!! Everytime Chase postpones the monthly foreclosure sales I say "BRING IT!" If they had a legal right to foreclose they would have done it the first time.
Pls let me know if you have any more questions. God be with You (You're going to need it)

Modification scam
I just saw a spot on TV last night regarding a lady that was strung out by Chase Mortgage with the promise of a Mortgage Modification for months and months. I was hospitalized for several months with an illness and exhausted my emergency fund. I am now back on my feet and making rapid progress toward bringing all my finances into good order - except for the Chase Mortgage.
Their process is to suspend your mortgage so you can't make a payment if you want to do so and send you piles of paperwork, which they lose repeatedly. Since the mortgage is in a suspended state the late payments continue to accrue while they "process the modification." Then if you are accepted into the program you are instructed to make adjusted monthly payments for varying monthly periods. Mine is 3 and I just paid the 3rd. The issue is that they are using this period of several months to string you out for months of back payments and then they decline you and foreclose. This is an extremely fraudulent process and should be investigated. I want be holding my breath. I could have brought my mortgage current early on but their optimistic assessment of my case got me into a serious problem. I have been in my home for 16 years and never thought I would be in this kind of situation. Chase Mortgage is simply a government driven crooked entity and if you can avoid ever doing business with them then I would do so. Of course they have no risk, they have Obama to bail their rotten asses out.

Foreclosed Property
Chase has foreclosed on the home next to mine. The grass is almost two feet high in places because they do not maintain the lawn. Chase takes no responsibility for maintaining homes that are in foreclosure. Their website boasts of their social responsibility, but, in reality, their practices only hurt neighborhoods.

Foreclosure
I fell behind on my mortgage, then I was accepted for a Federal Modification...2 times. I have been given the run around for over 2 years now. I made my 2 Federal Modification payments on time; all of a sudden Chase returned me checks. When I called them I was given a different answer every time I called, and I called at least 2 times a week. I was even told "Everything will be fine Jodi". Now they have again put me in foreclosure because of personal tax leins, these leins were on my record all along. I am working on them; they are personally attached to me, not my property. I am really really upset, can anyone offer me any help. I have improved my credit and have worked diligently to get rid of these personal tax leins. I am a wreck.

Chase Discrimination

Discrimination
My husband and I are in our 60s, white caucasion, I lost my job in 2009 and our business due to the BP oils spill in 2010. We applied for a mod from Chase for our home in 2009 due to my job loss. We were denied and told that we made too much money. We used our life savings to keep our payments up-to-date until May 2010 when we were told by a Chase rep. that we should stop making payments as it will "push" Chase to help us. In August of 2010 when we were contacted by a Chase representative, Margo Mowers who is Hispanic. We thought that she was sent by an angel since she sounded so sincere and that she/Chase truly wanted to help us. We reapplied for the mod again. We filled out all of the excessive paperwork, submitted all of our personal information including SS #s, bank acct. #, 3 yr.s tax information, first born child, right arm, etc. We were told that this would take no more than 60 days for Chase to reply. We were relieved and thought that we were going to get the help that we so desperately needed to save our home. We have never been late on our payments, we had an excellent credit history, we designed and built our home ourselves by acting as the contractors and put our blood, sweat and tears into this home. It was our final home and we thought that this "help"would secure our future and our retirement in our soon to be "old age".
60 days after we applied, we heard nothing, we called Ms. Mowers, emailed her and sent letters. She did not return our calls, did not return or acknowledge our emails, did not respond to our letters, NOTHING. We did not hear from Chase after 60 days, 90 days or 120 days. In January 2011, Ms. Mowers sent us a letter and told us that the paperwork that we submitted, has expired due to the "overload of mod cases" and requested that we reapply for the fourth time! What happened? We were devastated, we had given up after no response from Chase or their so called representative. In December, we left our home in our children's hands to handle what ever may happen. We have moved to another state trying to find jobs. We felt that we were being held hostage by Chase. We also believe that the reason our application was allowed to expire was because we are of the wrong color and race. We are white, responsible and elderly. We were thrown to the back of the pack so that the young and people of the Hispanic and black race could be helped since they were among the majority that purchased homes that they could not afford. We are disgusted and penniless at this time in our lives. We have lost everything that we spent a lifetime trying to achieve. Our retirement has been dwindled trying to keep our home. Chase bank is one of the worst offender's, preying on people who have tried to do the right thing. Refusing to help those who do help themselves and granting reprieves to those who couldn't afford their homes in the first place. Chase bank should not be allowed to do business in this country as they are among the biggest offenders of defaulting on their multi-billion dollar loans, taking money from the taxpayers to bail themselves out, paying their execs. millions of dollars and screwing people like us. They are nothing but crooks. We are trying to contact Ms. Mowers, who has not returned our calls to date to apply for a short sale. NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER! Chase can foreclose, ruin our credit, lives and take our future, what ever is left of it.But they can't get blood out of turnips! And we believe that we were discriminated against because of our race and age.

mortgage modification
Today we received a letter from an attorneys office for foreclosure on our home. For the past couple months they have been telling us to not make any payments because it will mess up the modification rework. There are so many different numbers to call and everyone tells us something different. The guy on the phone today said that we took a risk by not paying the monthly payment. They misinformed us. If I had known this I would have been making the payments. Now we are behind over $5000. I don't think this is right and I am trying to figure out the best route to take.

Failure to act as agreed
After expenses associated with my mother's illness and required trips back and forth out of state, I applied for a mortgage mod. I complied with all the requirements set forth by Chase and completed the "probationary" payment period, did not miss nor was I late with any of the payments. After months, I was told that I was not eligible for the gov't mod program, but that Chase had one in house I would be eligible for. Again, I filled out all the paperwork anew and, after receiving a payment amount, sent in payment. It was returned - at least two months in a row. I was told when to submit and the exact amount, but payments were returned. The next thing that happened was a notice that "LBS", whoever that is, is servicing the loan for an unknown third party. I filled out a third set of mod papers. Never received a response. Now, I am told by a phone call, that my house is subject to foreclosure to take place in May of this year. I also found out that all the papers were signed with Chase and were part of the package that went to LBS, and signed by Chase as well, BUT NEVER RECORDED. So, I did what I was asked to do - THREE TIMES - and my house is still being foreclosed on. Is there anybody out there who can help or sugguest someone or some entity who can? This is a Fannie Mae mortgage. I make amply money to pay the mortgage, and have tried. NEED HELP.

payment policy
Did not recieve my mortage bill in December, missed payment realizing I would need to catch up in January. Never recieved a Jan bill, was called one night at 8:50 pm and left a message by 800 chase number, called right back but told not business hours. Called the next day during business hours (asked to input last 4 digits of SS#) told at 10 am, not business hours, so went into local branch and showed the loan officer this problem. He looked perplexed called branch manger and she got me in. I asked why no statements were being mailed and was told they mail statements when they recieve payment. In other words, miss a payment, Chase stops sending bills. What happens when you miss paying other bills? You get a late payment notice, reminder etc. What if the mail loses your bill, I didn't recieve mine in Dec, who knows what happened, what if you're elderly and forgettful? This policy seems intended to just let you slip into foreclosure, also of interest was how they blocked me from the phone system and would not take my call, the system would tell me not business hours in the middle of the day, this was based on my ss#, so they filter calls, not taking some, based on what? What genious lawyer recommended this policy, this is intended to trap consumers in arrears and not assist them. Stop sending bills after one payment is missed. I was told this provision is in the small print, Chase assumed my loan and this was not the policy of the previous lender. Very suspicious behavior will ill intent clearly the motivation, is it legal? Is it covered in the fine print? Maybe so, is it ethical and in the best interest of the consumer, in the spirit of assisting troubled consumers in tough times or predatory? This home has less than 4 years of payment left on the loan, wouldn't Chase love to assume that loan in a foreclosure! Four days now after I paid the last two months off, they gave me a reciept yet have not processed the check, now what are they up to?
