Check Return
Worst customer service that I have ever encountered at any time. Without discussing the details too much, Chase rec'd a check deposit, and it was returned as NSF (from the other bank account). At the time that Chase posted the NSF, there was over $60, 000 available funds to cover my small check. Meanwhile, I'm out $20 (Chase's return charges). And it has now been over 2 weeks, and the check in question has neither been redeposited or returned to me. According to Chase now, they have NO record of the transaction. Despite my repeated attempts of giving them their own documentation (the copy of the check, date of return, their trans#, etc.). It's appalling. Thank you "ComplaintsBoard" for providing me the forum to vent over my frustration with this experience. I will no longer bank with Chase, and I will do everything in my power to warn my friends and family about their conspicuous business practices. I don't see them changing or caring whatsoever.

Bad Service
I Hate Chase. I'm a customer of theirs through inheritence. I was a happy Wamu Customer. But ever since they became chase all they do is nickle and dime you. I share everyones pain. All they care about s getting as much money as possible, they don't care if they lose loyal customers. I tryed to get a $39 returned payment check reversed and all they did was tell me it was my fault. They do nothing to prevent it like tell you theres something wrong with the transaction, The account was linked to my checking with plenty of funds, and they have the nerve to tell me I forgot a number in the account number, the account links automatically! I had nothing to type. I know the fee isn't much, but what effects me is that no one cares. Banks don't want to help people anymore, they just want to get as much money as possible in as little time as possible. I have multiple accounts with them, which will be colsed by the end of the week. I'm going to shop for a bank that actually cares about about people. I know the objective is to make a profit, but 70-80% of customers are repeat customers, if they lose one of two loyal customer, they lose a lot more through word of mouth. The horrible thing is they will do nothing for you, no help whatsoever, I cannot believe what my back has become. In the good old wamu days they would waive overdraft fees, and tryed to help you at least a little bit. Now! Its better luck next time. Too bad for you. I don't care. I just hope my new bank does not screw me over like they do. Down with Chase! Let them Die! They don't deserve our loyalty. We a all good people who are imperfect. It is obvious that chase doesn't care what kind of customers they have, as long as they get there money.

irresponsible, poor administration and customer service
Four supervisors in seven months are irresp0nsive for Chase promotional rewards. The usage for credit is clearly printed on the statement and noted on the account. However, six representatives said that they did not see it. Supervisors and manager did not return phone calls as they said they would and you requested them to call back. Even you have all the supervisors names and dates you spoke to in these seven months. They are irresponsible, refusing to perform their duty in seven months regardless much irritation and frustration. They do not provide your their extensions or numbers that you can reach them again. Furiously that manager is not responsible, not communicating with customers after four supervisors.
Chase sent consumers promotional letters and hand-outs are not accountable and unreliable.

Interest Rate Hikes
Chase thinks it's got creditors by the balls! What I don't think they realize is that members of the House and Senate have accounts withe them also and are hearing from their constituents. Chase made bad business decision after bad business decision and like others were deemed to big to fail.
After a battle with Citi over Providian, Chase execs were seething with greed. The anticipation of all that revenue they'd be getting. Not sure if they failed to realize or just didn't care but, a lot of Providian's business was from people with bad credit. Huge mistake now. What looked like a great deal turned out to be a costly mistake and they are making their best customers pay for it!
Chase sucks!

Overcharged
Chase charged me $100 fee. I inquired and was told that it was for a levy on my account. However, there is no levy on my account. When I brought that to their attention they responded that they did not have any detailed information on the fee. The charge created a $0.03 overdraft, yes a 3 cent, that they charged me a $33 nsf fee. I responded and requested that the charges be removed and have not yet heard anything. Even without the $100 issue. A $33 fee for $0.03???? Don't most retailers and consumers just leave the pennies on the counter?

victim of theft, Chase rules in favor of criminals
I was a victim of a phishing scam. A Microsoft look alike website popped up- its called scareware- telling me I needed to have anti virus program right away. BOTTOM LINE: Chase ruled in favor of federal criminals giving them my money as "I benefited from the transaction" ...outrageous!!
CHASE IS BAD> GO ELSEWHERE FOR BANKING!! Chase took over my bank, previously WaMu.

Increasing Overdraft Fees & Frequency
Wamu prior to be taken over by Chase had a maximum of three (3) Overdraft fee charges per day. Chase now has changed this policy and charges you regardless
I have an overdrawn amount of $264 which mostly composed of small $6~$24 charges. I tried to balance the account by transferring an amount online from my savings. Low and behold the transfer wasnt even taken in even on the next biz day. The CS rep said online transfers need a 24hour period to reflect (which again was different to how Wamu did it) so its as if I didnt try to balance it
End of story? I will be charged 12x$34 overdraft fees $408 to be exact which is way up and above the overdraft to begin with.
If anyone has a class action suit for Chase please post it here. Or if you have any other better banks other than Wells Fargo or Bank of America, please post it here

Another Chase rip off!
Credit card was under credit limit. Chase added a finance charge - put the account $9.00 over limit. Then they add a $39 over limit charge.
And they used our tax dollars.
May every employee of Chase have the same thing happen to them, repeatedly.
Card is now canceled and I will never ever do business with Chase in any way shape or form again!

fee for cashing a check...
The crooks on duty at Chase Bank are not loosing their mind when it comes to stealing your hard earned money...
Go to the nearest Chase branch and try to cash a Wamu check, its 5 bucks, period!
Wait a minute, you're telling me now that the transaction has been processed?
Oh yes we have a fee for cashing checks from another financial institution!
What?
Wamu became Chase due to their lousy investments and now Chase has taken over and its the same rip off going on...
So we bailed those ... out and now they are ripping us out?
WTF!!!
Avoid this bank at all cost.

Chase overdraft fee scam
Prior to reading these articals, I had the dreadful experience of learning about Chase's banking policy the hard way. I call it their little transaction manipulation scheme. As the manager tried to convince me that their policy was to help me, I instantly refuted the suggestion by pointing out that policy should never supercede logic.
Oh she went into great detail about how they do batch transactions and that some vendors transactions are delayed but why is it that a small chain of banks such as WAMu can function without the delayed transactions (as if it is a software issue) and Chase can't?
Or is it that they choose to use this outdated software/strategy because it allows them to profit the most? Also, since when does batch processing outweigh the logic of batch processing according to the date and time? Why even print a balance on the statement if the balance is not going to be guided by chronological dates?
Essentially, they could exercise the right to organize the transactions in whatever way it is necessary to produce overdraft fees. All this but I don't have that luxury to manage my transactions to benefit me.
I use to be proud that Chase purchased WAMU but now I am ashamed to be affiliated with a company that cares more about it's profits than it does, it's policies to do right by the customer. Most consumers can understand chronological order. Who understands Chase's special transaction manipulation strategy? I personally do not wish to work for Chase to understand how they do banking.
It is a shame. A dreadful shame. Why not make banking easy? If it were easy, they might not make as much profit.
