Deceptive advertising, "bait and Switch" ticket pricing
Bought tickets last June 16 on CheapOair website after receiving a newsflash airfare for and LAX-BCN flight. Booked for 3, got confirmation and booking numbers (+Spanair booking code) but was assured that ticket numbers would follow. Gave my credit card number and all's done. Well, after 3 days we got this email from CheapoAir stating to call their CS number if we haven't recieved our ticket numbers. Here when it all goes downhill:
1. Whenever you call their customer service numbers, aside from the minimum hold time of 30 mins, every agent has no clue of what your case is all about. They just keep telling you they'll look into it, but then you'll need to keep calling to follow up on it.
2. They actually tolfd us that our flight never existed! What? They're selling flights that do not exist? Then they come back at you with, "well, it does but at triple your purchase price"? Isn't this illegal?
3. Website, phone message while on hold and previous interviews from media sites states that they have "real time" confirmation...another issue with false advertising because after we got confirmations from their website, it wasn't honored after 3 days?
CheapoAir, my patience is running thin and to this day, we are still in limbo with your company. It's been a week and still the message I get is "we're working on it" as I still have my booking on your site but have no seats on the plane. Yes, I checked on Spanair and the code I got from you for Spanair is useless! I will be forced to take legal action unless this is resolved accordingly and fairly.

Scam
Cheapoair charged me for auto rental insurance for budget rental car in Panama!. Budget does not accept insurance issued out of the country in Panama?. As a travel advisory company selling insurance on auto rentals, they should know this and refrain from selling insurance/. It is a fraud upon the customer?. Do not patronize the services of this company, .
cheapoair Refused to refund monies when I complained and made request for refund". amex no help either!. the company has not responded to any request for explanation or refund of monies I wascharged for auto rental insurance
that was not accepted by Budget rental agency in Panama.

run around
I have not been able to get through to cheapoair. The number that is listed on the web is not good. The number I have is 866-636-9088, and 212-478-0335. Both numbers do not warrant a response. When I call I sometimes get someone on the line, and than they transfer me to someone else, they in return transfer me to someone else, they in turn transfer me to someone else. When I ask to speak to a supervisor I am told that It will not do me any good since the supervisor will tell me the same thing. I in turn had to go went directly to the airline and booked an earlier flight, which is what I originally wanted to do. Now I am out of $154.70. I wanted to make the change the next day, but was unable to. I had 24 hours to change my plan, but Cheapoair had it so that you cannot call they to make any changes, even though you insured the flight. They just take your money, and make it impossible to contact them for any reason what so ever. I tried again to contact them this evening, but I kept getting hung up repeatedly. I called the 212 number, and no one at all answered. Not even a recording. Cheapoair is a scam, and I pray that they get sued.

Poor Customer Service / Fraudulant Charges
Because of late arising work conflicts I wished to change dates for an airline ticket previously purchased. I could find no details on their website related to fees or steps in the process and began making attempts to reach customer service. After 2 days of their customer service phone lines down (oo anser or automated options) and over a day of waiting for a reply to e-mails directed to their customer service department I think it's fair to say that one of cheapoair's "4 Golden Guarantees" (24/7 Toll Free Customer Care) means nothing. Additionally, despite leaving messages with other departments when I could eventually get though 2 days later I was told I could not be transferred to the correct department, but that cheapoair would have that department return my call. What have I received so far? Zero calls or responses... but I did get fraudulant charges on my credit card under their business name that noone can tell me what the cause is. Turns out the airline has a $150 fee to switch dates. Understandable, but cheapoair made zero attempt to compensate me for any part of this despite erroneous charges, wasted cell phone minutes, and frustration. I think i'll spend my $150 on a rental car. Thanks, cheapoair.

Unpleasant Experince
I am sorry I had very unpleasant experience with CheapoAir. Cheapo booked my flight on American Airlines (AA) flight 4193 (May13) from Richmond to Madison through Chicago. When I reached the airport at 5:30 PM, I found that my flight was cancelled due to weather condition. Neither AA nor Chepaoair gave me early notice about this cancellation. AA counter asked me to wait till 9:00 PM to reschedule my flight for the next day. When I called the Cheapoair to help me and explain my insurance coverage, your customer service referred me to the Mercury Insurance (MI), who showed no interest in helping me. MI rep told me to limit my expense claim only towards lodging and food and not to exceed $100.00. When I insure my flights on Delta, I get Insurance coverage up to $150 per day for flight cancellation. I also always receive my insurance policy at the time of flight booking. I never received the insurance policy from Cheapo nor from Mercury Insurance. I am therefore surprised that Mercury Insurance asked me to limit my claims well below the standard limits..
I spent $177, .00 towards food, lodging, taxi;. I submitted my claim by e-mail for $150".00 to Mercury Insurance!. My emails to cheapoair@cheapoair!.com bounced, . What is your email address?
When I bought ticket from Cheapoair first time, your agreement mentioned about a $50.00 discount against a code. When I tried to use this code to buy my next two flights, instead of $50, I got only $10.00 off. So, I bought my both flights on Delta, which actually worked out cheaper than Chepoair’s discounted fare.
My Credit card statement shows your service charge of $34.00. This is outrage. I did not agree for this service charge. Please refund this charge. I am calling my credit card company on this.

Poor cusomther service
I called the customer service to make a change on my flight today. The lady on the phone was the most unpleasant and impatient person I have ever talked to on customer service. It's like she was having a bubble gum in her mouth and all her words were muffled up. Her attitude towards the customer was unacceptable and she did not listen to my concern and she didn't answer my questions. She just wanted to finish her job and go home. I had a very unpleasent experiece with this airline and I will not book again. Her name is Enkeleida. I do not understand why would such a large airline company hire a unprofessional and rude person. There should be some training beforehand.

Huge scam
Cheapoair booked me on a wrong flight to Tel Aviv, in January. They said they'd rebook me on the correct flight but I'd have to pay again, and they'd refund me the money I paid for the first flight. Well, it turns out to be a lie because 3 months later, they still have not yet refunded me, and they don't seem to know when they will do so. HUGE SCAM, I am filing a suit against them.
If you can help it, don't do business with these morons. Someone needs to *** their servers and put them out of business

Horrible, stay away
CheapOAir has the worst customer service and the worst website for booking air travel. I have a flight on my screen and I can't change the 3 passenger to child because I went through an alert site that shows 3 travelers. When I called customer service I was told I could not get that flight for that price. WTH, you show one amount on your website but won't actually let people book the flight for that price. That is called false advertising and it's ridiculous. If their rude customer service people are asked about it they just hang up on you too, real nice. They need to get their website fixed and start keying the flight codes on time so the true amount will show instead of scamming their customers.

On hold for 45 minutes and counting...ridiculous
My mother and stepfather used this company to book some flights from Australia to New Zealand and back...because of the earthquake in NZ, their inbound flight was rerouted to another place in AU...they have been trying to email customer service for numerous times over the last few days and have gotten no response, so they have asked me to call since I'm here in the USA...I have now been on hold for 45 minutes, and have gotten noone to talk to...this company is a SCAM...there is no excuse not to have a phone answered within 5 minutes...you can bet that you will not be used ever again by my family or my friends.

CheapOair did not send $1252.60 to EuropCar as they should have. We had terrible hassle at car rental and called CheapOair from car rental in San Jose, Costa Rica. Serena (at cheapoair) said that it would be credited back to our American Express card within two weeks (which would have been by Nov. 15th) and so we paid the car rental again. We would appreciate it credited back to Bobby Williams American Express credit card as soon as possible. We have to pay credit card bill and it would be easier by far without unnecessary charges we do not owe.
