Big mistake, no refund
I was suppose to travel with my wife and three kids for summer vacation, due to my duty my leave was cancelled, i called the customer service and ask them for advice. The advice they gave were awful. I was going to only cancel my ticket and let my wife and kids go on vacation, but the customer rep led me to believe that i will be refunded if i cancelled all my tickets. So i went ahead and cancelled all 5 ticket, to my surprise there was no refund. They charged me 25 dollar per tickets to cancel, and gave me a $300 credit and a rebooking fee of 150, so the credit is only 150. Horrible, i will never ever do business with Cheap o air, never again.

Here is my prolbem i was going to let my kid and wife go on vacation to the family and have fun, but after talking to the customer rep i was under the impresion, because i had insure my ticket, that i will be refunded. big mistake, no refund. the insuranc they provide is worthless thru travel guard.

Canceled my flight and is not refunding my money
I bought a flight from my hometown to SLC. This was only my second time flying, so I was rather inexperienced in this field. 24 hours before my flight I called American Airlines to check in. They said that Cheap-o-Air had canceled my flight not even a day after I had purchased it!

I called COA to figure out what went wrong with hope they would get me on the flight. They said American Airlines had canceled the flight and for more money I could get on a different one. After being tugged around by COA I finally demanded my money back.

They first told me that my ticket was non-refundable, but after a little nagging, I finally got COA to work with me. After many futile attempts, I finally got COA to tell me I should get my refund in 8-12 weeks. Seeing as I would have to pay for it in 4 weeks, that just won't work for me. This is a disaster!

I am beyond baffled on how a company endorsed by priceline can get away with such poor "business" tactics. They lied to me, shamed me, and are attempting to steal from me. They ruined the only vacation that I have had in years.

Failure to refund fare for cancelled flight
Booked 4 flights with British Air through CheapOair thinking we'd get a discount. Flights were cancelled due to BA strike. CheapOair first refused to refund our money even thought we rebooked the flights with them throught Air Lingus fo a lot more money as it was under 14 days. Then they agreed to refund our cancelled fares and sent us emails outlining our refund for each of the four round trip tickets on British Air. They refunded three but now are refusing to refund our fourth identical ticket for reasons unknown to us. We have multiple emails confirming refund but they dont seem to think that matters much. They are willing to reimburse us at the rate of 40 cents on the dollar... can't figure out why that seems they best they can do. Taking them to small claims court and will definitely win and it wil cost them lots more than the cost of the refund...attorney fees and all.. One piece of advice.. go straight to the airlines and you could book for even less than Cheapoair advertises. They are bad for the industry...

Waiting for a refund
Booked a flight through Cheapoair for my son flying back from Finland. It only took them a day to bill my credit card but I have waited three months for a refund. Do to the volcano in Iceland my son's flight was cancelled. I called Cheapoair days prior to the flight to request a refund and was advised that my credit card would be credited by the next billing cycle (May). I gave it a few weeks & attempted to call to no avail so I emailed them only to be told 2 weeks later that I had to wait a few more weeks. Well another month has gone by and my emails still go unanswered. The customer service is dispicable do not use this company.

Service
Beware overseas tickets cheapoair
CheapOair.com does not feel that they are responsible to notify overseas travelers in the case when luggage needs to be claimed and rechecked at overseas airports.

They do have a disclaimer which states that each ticket holder has the responsibility to research the possible need for airport visas at transient airports.

They further state that they are not responsible to be aware of luggage agreements between various airlines.

My wife purchased tickets from CheapOair departing the United States with final destination of St. Petersburg, Russia. In researching luggage issues, we found that the size and weight requirements and fees for additional luggage are determined by the first ticketed airlines, in this case, US Air to Charlotte then US Air to Frankfort, Germany. Next leg was from Frankfort to St. Petersburg via Rossiya Russian Airlines.

In speaking with US Air, we discovered that they do not have a luggage agreement with Rossiya and that the baggage would have to be claimed in Frankfort and re-checked with Rossiya airlines. This created several problems. Immediately obvious was the fact that Rossiya would then consider this a new flight rather than a continuing flight, new luggage standard would then apply (less weight) and more additional luggage fees would then have to be paid.

The more critical issue was in the fact that my wife is a permanent resident in the United States traveling with a Russian Passport. For transit through the Frankfort airport, she does not have to have a German Airport Visa, however, she is not allowed to go beyond passport control to baggage claim. Baggage claim is beyond passport control. This was verified by me via phone with the Frankfort Airport Security Authority.

We did not discover this problem until 10 days or so before the scheduled departures and would not have discovered the problem until my wife arrived in Frankfort unless we had inadvertently discovered the issue ourselves. There was never any indication from CheapOair or the ticketing company (Lufthansa) that there was a problem or that the luggage had to be re-checked in Germany.

I then started the process of attempting to contact CheapOair for their help in resolving the problem. I spoke with numerous persons at their company who explained to me that this was our problem and not theirs. I also encountered over 500 minutes on hold with this company.

US Air explained that the luggage would remain unclaimed in Frankfort. Rossiya said it was beyond their control. Lufthansa explained that we should contact CheapOair, that perhaps CheapOair should not have sold this combination.

I finally reached a person at CheapOair who attempted to explain to me that the problem was the luggage agreement (nonexistent) between US Air and Rossiya. I managed to get it across to him that I understood the problem, I was seeking the solution! He stated that he understood the urgency of this and would contact me quickly with resolution.

Seven days later, not having heard from my previous contact, I again began the process of phoning CheapOair. After waiting a less than typical 45 minutes on hold, I did in fact reach Linda W. in the New York office who put me in touch with Tracy H. in the New York office who then put me in touch with Analisa F. in the New York office. I have to commend each of these ladies! They were caring, understanding and did their best to resolve the problem!
However, they all work within the limits of their position and the final resolution was that we changed all the flights for which they charged me an additional $590.00! I do not feel that I should have had to pay anything!

Bottom line:
If you want cheap prices: go CheapOair
If you want cheap service: go CheapOair
If you like to hold on the phone: CheapOair
If you want problems and confusion: CheapOair
If you want stress: CheapOair
IF YOU WANT YOUR LUGGAGE TO GO WITH YOU: NO CHEAPOAIR

Scam
Cheap o air, Is the worst company to deal with. They have no understanding to customers. And they charged us twice for a ticket that we could never use at all because of pass port problems. They would not refund the first money then charged our credit card again for the same flight or ticket. The customer service mgr. was very rude and took our problem personal. She even started yelling over the phone at me and would not give me the phone number of the owner of the company. I will never recommend anyone to use this company at anytime because if you have a problem they will refuse you any type of a refund and they will charge your account twice like they did us.

Never use them
I attempted to change my flights to take a longer weekend. Looked up the fares on their site, the difference was about a hundred dollars. I expected the additionsl 100 dollar change fee. What I got was a $660 dollar total change fee which I, of course, told them where they could put it. So..went to the airline site, made the same changes, total cost with an upgrade to free baggage, fully refundable exit row window..$134.

So..CheapO is not cheap and, when it comes to customer service, is. I can guarantee I will advise everyone I know in my 80, 000 employee (+ 50k contractors) NEVER to use CheapO.

Everything
Cheapoair represents itself as a valid tavel agent, working for the customer to provide cost effect options.

They use bait and switch tactics. Sell flights that do not exist and continue to lie about. In my case it was an Air Tran flight non-stop from Minnespolis to Ft. Lauderdale Fl. booked in November of 2009 for travel in March of 2010.

Guess what Air Tran does not fly non-stop from Minneapolis to Florida. Did not stop Cheapoair! Booked my tickets for $680 online with credit card. Requires, confirmation with customer service rep. The called to confirm but noted the price had gone up $90. I had already reserved and paid for my tickets online but would not receive confirmation without the additional $90. 3 days before my flight I get an email, "Flight has Been Changed" to confirm reply here. Three emails an 12 hours before take off I could not confirm my flight. 2 hours to get customer service to finally get a confiramation number. CS rep hangs up on me when I want to find out depature terminal.

Take a wide berth from Cheapoair and your travel plans will be much better.

Avoid Cheapoair!!!

fraud
I booked a flight over the Internet with Cheapo Air. Even though I bought the ticket, they did not send a confirmation. Two days later I booked with another flight, thinking that the first flight information was never received. Four days later, I received a flight confirmation from Cheapo Air. This was still two months before the flight. I told the agen Tomas, that it was too late for this booking and the confirmation was not valid because it was too late. He said that we just lost the $900 and that was too bad. I was very upset and asked to speak to his manager. He then suggested that we could use the tickets at a later date for anywhere in the US. When I said that would be okay, he told me it would be $25 a person for changing the flight. That was fine. When I finally booked the flight, it was not the $50 additional cost, but over $500 on top of the $900 we already paid!.I want to report this company as a fraudulent company!!
