Incompetence in Customer Service
Do not do business with CheapOAir. Beware. The flight you select gets switched, and if you are not extremely careful you end up with multiple tickets for the incorrect departure. Cheapoair will not solve your problem even if you have multiple tickets from them at the wrong departure time. They will also charge your credit card one dollar a month. If you call and complain they stop temporarily charging your card, but restart later. If you purchase from CheapOAir it's like gambling. DO YOU FEEL LUCKY?

Bad customer service
These folks made an error. Didn't contact me until almost 1 year later. Instead of calling and stating the problem, their representative phoned me Xmas Eve and launched into a diatribe about how wrong I was. I was phoned and before I hung up they sent an email also. I replied that I would get copies of my credit card statement and with Xmas being that Friday, I didn't call for copies until the following Monday, when their rep. called me and launched into another tirade about how much money I owed them. I said not to call again until I had time to get the info. and hung up. He called me back over and over and over again (approx. 10 times as fast as I hung up he called back!) I will never use these folks again. Save yourself. . .use anyone but Cheapo Air!!!

Unnecessary charges
CheapOair did not send $1252.60 to EuropCar as they should have. We had terrible hassle at car rental and called CheapOair from car rental in San Jose, Costa Rica. Serena (at cheapoair) said that it would be credited back to our American Express card within two weeks (which would have been by Nov. 15th) and so we paid the car rental again. We would appreciate it credited back to Bobby Williams' American Express credit card as soon as possible. We have to pay credit card bill and it would be easier by far without unnecessary charges we do not owe.

flight changes
Subject: My CheapOair Booking No. 2589878: Our flights were changed without our consent to unacceptable times. I'ved tried unsuccessfully to contact CheapO air by phone but couldn't get to anyone that understood my complaint. I was told I'd receive an e-mail. As of this date (about one month after my original complaint)
I've yet to receive an e-mail. Our flight to Jacksonville FL was changed to arrive at 7:40 PM. I have night
blindness and was extremely concerned about driving to our condo from the airport in the dark. Our return flight was changed to a 7:00AM flight from Jacksonville FL. So we lost another beach day. I was thoroughly
disappointed with CheapOair and Northwest Airlines and will never use them again. I understand that my home airport (Wilkes Barre Scranton PA) has limited flights but I believe I am owed at the very least and apology for the inconvence we were caused. Thank you. Kathy Sweetra

no refund after being promised a refund for canceled flight to Moscow Aeroflot airlines
I canceled my roundtrip flight to moscow on assurrances from bcheapoair that I would receive a $509 refund within 4 weeks of that date October 5, 2009.The airline sent me $85 possibly for the canceled Moscow to Sochi flight but no refund for the NYC to Moscow roundtrip flight

Outrageous Fee's
My husband and I purchased three airline tickets to visit his family for Thanksgiving. He is currently in the US Military and had his leave revoked because of assignments. We called the agency spoke to PERSON after PERSON. The fee per person to change it started at 100.00 per person.. but as the days went ON... the fees to change our tickets turned into 150.00 and then the DIFFERANCE of the airline ticket price.
I will never in my whole life EVER use this site agian. From now on I will pay a little more and buy my ticket through a legitimate airline site. They are the ones with my life essentially in their hands.. I want them to have my money. Not these MONSTERS!

Scam artists
On 08/04/09 I got on the web site CheapOAir to book a three day paackage deal. After booking my flight a list of hotels came up. My first four picks of a hotel came back saying no vacancy, please try another hotel. My fifth try was a success. When I got my credit card statementI had five hotel charges of more then seventeen hundred dollars. I disputed the charges. All four hotels responded to the dispute! One hotel said I did not show up the first day, but I stay the next two days, the other hotel said I stayed three days, the other two hotels said I was a no show. I did not book nor did stay at the orher four hotels that were charged to my account. When I got my Itinerary It was for a flight, car and one hotel. If I did book the other four hotels why did not get a confirmation number? CheapOAir keeps a record of all my bookings and none of the four hotel are on their records. I do not know what went wrong with CheapOAir web site. I beleave it is the web site's doing.

Rebooking with credits
I book an international ticket on Cheapoair abouth 5 months ago. When I had to cancel my flight, after HOURS of being on the phone, I was able to get a credit for an amount of $2k. My original ticket paid was over $2.3K. Not only did they charge me a $50 cancellation fee, they also did not refund part of the ticket b/c they claimed it was the "tax" portion and cannot be refunded back to me.

Today when I did my rebooking with my $2K credit, they told me I have to paid $200 in penalty fee as well as the fare differnce. Turns out that the fare difference is over $300. How is that possible when the exact flight online on Kayak is only $1.5K. That means they are OVER CHARGING me $800 on this transaction. I had to accept the fee b/c I have a credit on it and want to use it so that I do not have to deal with this company ever again. Their corporate structure is very mal-aligned. PLEASE AVOID.

Scam charges
There are times when the airline will not honor a fare after it has been booked, or they come back with an alternate price. Cheapoair tires very hard to confirm the original cost, but at times we are unable. The complaint is regarding a higher fare, it appears that the 2nd airline quote was valid, for he mentions he went to American Airlines directly and they paid $50.00 less, that is because Cheapoair.com charges a $25.00 per person service fee.

So in essence, we did not make up a fare of $400.00 more, because it seems the blogger actually paid this much with the airline directly!

FEES!
Stay away! Big booking fees. They nailed me for $24/ticket on 4 tickets. They lump their fee in with the usual security fees so that you can get fooled, like me. I got $40 back but still am out $56 for NOTHING.

If they weren't so deceptive in the way that the fees are displayed it wouldn't be so bad. But then again, if they didn't hide this booking fee, who would use them?
