poor service & lying agents
I booked flights on CheapOair in May, the airling cancelled the flights June 29 but CheapOair never told me. Their web sight still shows me booked on those flights.
When I called Customer Service the agent said they just learned of the cancellation and sent me an email. This is a lie. It takes an hour on hold to reach a person and then they either lie or don't know what to do.
Don't even think of using CheapOair.

sold non-existing flight
Back in March we bought tickets to Mazatlan, MX... Leave Orlando Nov. 3, 2008 return Nov 10, 2008. Cheapotickets.com had booked us on US Airways going to Mazatlan and Aeromexico return to Orlando. In May I decided to check my flights to see if any had been cancelled or times changed. US Airways flights were OK, but Aeromexico had no record of our flight and our flight #, and times did not match any of their flights. We tried to call C-tickets at first they didn't answer, when they finally did they insisted the flights were good, although Aeromex. Said no. When I would insist they were wrong and that they do something to fix it, I would be cut off. This happened at least 5 times. I called US Airways to see if they could help. The Service Lady at USA was great she worked an hour and got us a return flight, although we had to come home a day earlier. She also called our credit card company to make sure we got the same price and money was paid to the right carrier. Beware of Cheapoair, rip off. Had I not checked, we would have been stuck in Mexico, trying to find flight home.

Fraud
I am writing to let you know that I am completely dissatisfied with the service I received through Cheapoair. I purchased tickets on 11/4/08 leaving from Orlando to Ottawa. I received a call four days later that they couldn't issue my tickets due to the price change. First off, I could barely understand the person that called me due to the language barrier so I had to hang up and call back. When I called back I was told that they contacted the airline and my tickets could not be issued. You should now allow people to enter their credit card information and give them a booking number if tickets cannot be issued. The gentleman I spoke with could not help me at all and said there was nothing he could do but possible get me other tickets for about $500 more. Working for a business myself we strive on maintaining good customer service, however, what I received from Cheapoair was beyond horrible. I was told that I needed to contact the airline. When I contacted them they informed me that their affiliation with Cheapoair was not very good and that they recommend that I don't purchase tickets through you. You simply take screen shots of their pricing and attempt to purchase the tickets while not keeping current with the pricing changes. This I feel is not good business practice. I ended up purchasing the exact same tickets through the airline directly for almost the exact same price with great service. When I called Cheapoair to let them know to be sure everything was cancelled they informed me they would charge me $24 each ticket which was non-refundable. This is a disgrace. You cannot provide me with the tickets but yet you can charge me a fee? This is fraud. The person I spoke to by the name of Andrew advised me there would be no charge and my flight would be cancelled after I had to argue wi th him for several minutes. I have also informed my credit card company that any charge of the sort is fraudulent and not to allow it to pass through. I am very dissapointed that such a popular website would provide such horrible service. I hope that you can improve in this area as I wouldn't want someone to experience what I had to experience today.

Fradulent website/False advertising/ Horrible outsourced customer service with language barrier
I purchased a one way fare last night @ 10:54 pm from IND to LAX one way. I was told the flight was $297. I input my credit card information, and received a confirmation and booking number via email. I went to sleep peacefully knowing I purchased my ticket. I woke up today, and I received an email from Cheapoair.com @ 4:52 am (almost 6 or 7 hrs later) stating that the fare for my ticket increased, and that my ticket would not be confirmed until I called or emailed them to accept the increased fare. Mind you, in my email there is a confirmation and travel itinerary for the ticket I was told was confirmed.
I called their customer service line, which is outsourced somewhere in India, so there was a language barrier there. I talked to the rep, and they must give them a sheet of standard responses to read to American customers who call, because no matter what I said, she would only respond by saying they had no control over what the airlines do. I was frustrated and told them to cancel my ticket, at the new price they quoted me, (after telling me my other ticket with the lower fare was confirmed) I could have just purchased the tix directly thru the airline for a cheaper price.
I told them I was going to sue them for false advertising ( I have the proof with the email saying my tix was confirmed), I asked the rep for the address to forward legal correspondence, she did not understand me when I asked her this (her crash course english for dummies class did not teach her such words). She put the phone down without telling me to hold, and asked her boss some questions because of our language barrier, and I guess he told her to disconnect our call, because that's what she did.
After reading all of these complaints on the many different websites, I am seriously going to pursue a class action law suit against this company. They are a fraud, and a rip off. And to all the other consumers out there here is a tip: If you look on Cheapoair's website, at their published fares and then look at the airline, they are publishing those fares for, most of the time, the airlines published fare is cheaper than cheapoair's website.
They are a ripoff and I am going to report them in everyway I can.
Good luck!

Their price is not cheap
This company does not tell you openly that they charge $25 service charge on top of the actual ticket cost. Their charge is included in tax and other fees, so you do not know. I founded out by going to airline and check their tax and fees, but it was too late. Cheapoair.com customer service is not going to help you at all. Their service was terrible. I was on the phone for a long time. They kept transfering my call between billing and customer service. They would not let me talk with manager or manager refused talk with you. I must say their price is not cheap. You get charged behined and get bad customer service .They should change their name to expensive air.com.
As the name stands Cheapoair miss leading customer to thinking your ticket is lower in price than going through airline company.
But truth is customer is charged $25 more for your service which is not clearly spelled out on the site.
Which is unfair practice to me. Why not tell all the customer that your airfare is same as airline offers, but if you purchase from us you will be charged $25 extra. See how many people purchase ticket from them.

They have the worst customer support and policies
I bought a round trip from San Francisco to Copenhagen, Denmark through cheapoair.com. While in Denmark I had to renew my visa and the procedure dragged out, which meant that I had to postpone my return flight.
When I tried to contact costumer service by email (three times) they never responded at all. Then I called them and was on hold for almost an hour. When I finally got a representative he (Norton) told me that he would get back to me immediately by email. I never heard back from him. I emailed him to ask for an update- no reply.
I called again and talked to a different representative. After being on hold for various reasons again for almost an hour she said that she could change my flight but that it would mean that I had to spend the night at Heathrow airport AND it would cost me $2500!!! The original (roundtrip) ticket was $1300 all included.
My advice is to stay away from this company. Most other airlines that I have dealt with in the past try to help you even beyond what they are required to do. CheapOAir will just try to milk you. Take your business somewhere else.

Fraud
There are too many unhappy customers out there. I for one would not allow anyone charging me for service and not delivering them and worst of all dodging the questions. We all pay for true and honest service and we are entitled to refunds until either they shut down or serve us (the customers) with respect and dignity.
Let’s put our efforts together and petition the company for remedy. We can also send the same to the NY’s state general attorney’s office for fraud and FTC for the same.

They've sold non-existing flights
I booked a flight on cheapoair on 1/11/08 and when I went to use it, found out from the airline that the schedule had been changed 8-9 months before and the flight they sold me no longer ran. I had no way to get to my next flight, so I called the customer service number of cheapoair to get some help. They never acknowledged that they did anything wrong and would not fly me on a different airline, upgrade my seat to an available one on first class or ANYTHING that would help. They said they would get me a refund, but in the end, they didn't even do that. I had to call the airlines myself to get a refund. I think they were fraudulent in selling me a flight that didn't exist, would not accept responsibility for it and didn't communicate the change in schedule to me via email. I will never use them again.

Horrible Customer Service
I have also experienced the cheapoair.com runaround that they call customer service. Based on the last few postings, I sent Renee Andrews an email this morning to see if she will help. There's a good chance at this point that I will have no way to get home from Mexico!
Here is the email that I sent to her:
Ms. Andrews, I saw your postings on the independent traveler board. Hopefully, you can help me before I post my horrible experience with your agency. I am also prepared to contact the Attorney General's office in Georgia and New York, the Better Business Bureau, ASTA and IATAN. I will also dispute all of my charges with Capital One Visa. OK, all that said, you may be my last hope.
My fiancee and I booked our wedding and honeymoon travel through cheapoair.com on January 10, 2008, and we received the attached confirmation numbers. We thought all was OK, and never heard anything back regarding changes to the reservation. My cell number is the phone number listed on my profiled with cheapoair.com and I check email many times a day. So, I can guarantee that no one contacted me about any changes.
Luckily, I am thorough, so before leaving for my wedding this Wednesday, April 30, I called all the airlines to confirm once more about any changes, and make sure we had seat assignments. This is where the nightmare begins. I have spent the 7 hours total talking to several different airlines and cheapoair.com customer service. However, I still am not confirmed on the last flight of my trip, the one from Cancun to Atlanta on May 10. I finally -- after several hours -- talked to an American Airlines agent who found my second flight, from Miami to Cancun on May 5. She found it under another Record Locator (BVDGOL). So, we are OK there, even though I had to pay $30 to them to get them to confirm our seats. I would like this $30 refunded from cheapoair.com.
More importantly, I can't get anyone at Cheapoair.com to return my calls for help. I am now begging and pleading to get this flight from Cancun to Atlanta confirmed before I leave on Wednesday. After that, I will be in the Caribbean with very limited access to phones and email. What your customer service agents are telling me is that there was a change to the reservation on this flight, and no one ever did anything to get us on another flight or rebook us on that flight, which is still available. The airlines (Delta, Aeromexico and America) are also not able to rebook us because we are not in the system for this flight. Each airlines says that we have to get the agency to fix this. But, if I can't get anyone on the phone to fix it, then I know I will show up on May 10 and have not way to get home from my honeymoon. I have been told several times that I should expect a call back within the hour, and no one ever calls me back.
I can only imagine how you would feel if your wedding and honeymoon plans were messed up because of a company not being responsive to a very simple request. Please understand why we are extremely upset at this point. Can you help me get this resolved today?
