False advertising!
I purchased three tickets on the website yesterday. All three reflected that they were first class tickets. Two of the three were not and after at least six phone calls, they without my permission canceled my tickets and supposedly refunded my credit card. This evening, I went to view my credit card account on line and found that not only had all three flights been charged to my account, that there was some type of $25 fee charged as well for all three. Not only is all that frustrating enough, but they hung up on me on one call, were very rude to me one three others and lied on two. I can't express enough how frustrated I was by the end of yesterday!! I will never use this company again!

Pricing & disclosure!
I really hate to have to do this, but since reading others issues I feel there is something more going on with how this company and the employees are being asked to perform. My experience was that my family and I (who live in VA) were sent an invitation that my father in law was being given a special retirement celebration by the school in which he had been employed for more than 30yrs, the week of Thanksgiving, in Illinois. Since the notice to us was so short I couldn’t get the day after Thanksgiving or the weekend off to take my family there and back, so while we drove from VA to IL, I had to fly back to VA to be at work on Friday 11/23. I found that Cheapo, has some great advertised pricing, in fact my flight was advertised for $105. one-way, great I thought! So I booked it on-line, but made a mistake on the date, I had to be back at work on Friday 11/23 so I had to fly out on Thanksgiving day. I immediately contacted Cheapo, via the (212) number and was assisted by a friendly person who told me she could help with canceling the ticket and there would be $25 cancellation fee. When she told me she could also make the switch I thought great (save me some time logging back on) Suddenly, within a matter of moments the fare jumped $10 to $115, I originally wrote this off as an increase to being able to talk to a live person, the "taxes & fees" added another $64.65 for a total of $180. to Cheapo, for original $105 ticket! The nice lady told me the $105 seats were no longer available! (keep in mind I called within less than 5 minutes of making my $105 booking) My flight was half empty on Thanksgiving night, and to add insult to injury when I opened my statement a moment ago they dinged me for another $25 fee for booking the trip. While the invoice statement I received clearly states "your credit card my be billed in 2 charges totaling the above amount” I was charged $143.30 for my ticket ($115 ticket plus taxes?) and another $36.70 for "automation Service Fee" and my $25 cancellation fee, but was never told I would be charged an additional amount over and beyond the reflected price of my ticket. This would have amounted to an original $105 ticket escalated to $205, If I had not contacted these folks. After requesting the services of a supervisor they agreed to waive the added $25 not in my invoice.

So my original “advertised” Cheapo Ticket of $105 turned into a potential $205. Doing the math, I suspect that the first charge of $143.30 covered my fare plus taxes/fees the $36.70 was to go to Cheapo + whatever the airlines USAir gives them back? and then they went to my credit card for another $25. at a minimum this suggests they make $61.70 on an “advertised” $105 fare. Hey I am a “for profit guy” and will pay amounts that I am made aware of and agree to. Misleading promotions & “Bait and Switch” types of business practices need to be monitored and dealt with handedly, if you agree please, please let me know... and Cheapo folks while some of you may be new and nice, you need to pay attention to how your company operates...

This is a scam company!
I often book flights on the web. Recently, in a hurry i booked 6 people to Vegas on a web site called CHEAPOAIR. The price on their site was lower than anything else i could find so i booked it. It wasn't until i pushed the complete button, did i realize they had added a $25.00 a ticket charge to my credit card. This is such a rip off. I had no idea till it was to late. I emailed them asking for at least a partial refund because I thought the fee was excessive, of course they refused. I could have booked with the airline directly, there was no reason to use them other than the posted fare was less.

This is a scam company and should not be allowed to continue to defraud the public. Please help me get my $250.00 dollars back that i was scammed out of.

Excessive service charge
I booked a ticket on Cheapoair yesterday to Portland Or. The price quote was pretty low for Thanksgiving travel w/ a note saying that there would be further taxes and "service fees". Which is pretty normal. However when the final total came up I was charged over $100.00! My ticket was no longer a bargain, but part of the norm. I could have probably gone with someone like Orbitz and ended up with the same cost for my ticket.

And now that I have read these previous postings, I am wondering if I am going to get to Portland at all! Has any0ne investigated these people?

Agent error!
This is the email i have sent them:

Dear Steve,

After numerous unsuccessful attempts to get some help from your staff i am at a loss as what to do. I booked 3 flights from your company my confirmation no. is BUPQHW and i tried to book it online, that was impossible to do so i called after an extremely long i finally got an agent and booked my 3 flights. These flights were for my children as i had booked my flight with united under award travel.

I received the confirmation via email on Tuesday 26th June and to my surprise i found my children were booked on another flight. I have called, left messages and emailed.I have had one response on Wednesday morning very early 6.00am my time from Jennifer in NY she was helpful and put me on hold and went to investigate she returned to tell me she had listened to the original booking and the agent was at fault. She told me someone would contact me in 24 hours.(no one has). She then told me that a penalty of 350.00 per ticket would apply because it was non refundable and i would have to pay for your agents error. I have spoken to numerous people regarding this matter and every one is stunned as to why i would have to pay an additional $1050.00 for your company mistake.

I have wasted 3 days on this problem with no help or response from your company frankly i am disgusted and will continue to tell everyone about this. I have contacted the BBB and several other companies. I hope to hear from someone soon.

Flight issues!
On March 14, 2007 I booked a flight for three people to Nashville on June 1st. No mention was made that the seat selection portion was a mere suggestion. No mention was made that the flight to St Louis had problems with American Airlines in the past.

So last night per the instructions I confirmed with American Airlines. After an hour and forty minutes with the Queen of Snob I thought I had a seat. She kept blaming everything on Cheapoair. She said it was their problem I did not have a seat. I asked her why they oversold flights.

So this morning I got up early to call Cheapo and they gave me another seat in a row that was unavailable the night before. So when I got to work I went in and checked my reservations only to find that I did not have a seat. I was on hold and finally left a message on the voice mail and through email. Now some seven hours later I have no response. I spoke with American again and they told me Cheapo had canceled my seats that they had assigned the night before and they did not get me another seat. They fortunately got me the same seats.

So the airline has suggested I get to the airport early so that this whole mess can be resolved.

Is there some sort of meltdown going on!
I booked a flight on CheapoAir - nonrefundable, which is fine. I took the chance. What I didn't know was that this did not guarantee me a ticket! My flight is due to leave in 3 days and while I have a reservation, the airline tells me that I do not have a ticket. "Is the agent holding your ticket for some reason?" they asked. The payment went through, so Cheapoair has my ticket. I am unable to buy another ticket because this is non-refundable. But I don't have a ticket to go!

I have contacted them by email, and the first time I received a reply which said I would have my ticket in 24 hours. That was 3 days ago. I contacted them by phone and after nearly an hour on hold, someone told me they would get back to me that day. That was 2 days ago. Yesterday and today I was cut off while on hold.

Is there some sort of meltdown going on?

Overcharge and poor customer service!
My complaint is with the level of service offered by CheapoAir.com. For years I have used the internet to book flights, however this is the first time I used CheapoAir.com. The chain of events is as follows:

· I booked a flight on October 2 to fly to my home town San Antonio, TX

· I received confirmation for October 20 on AirTran Flt. 123 departing at 11:19AM EST from Atlanta with a connecting Flight on American Airlines #1612 leaving DFW at 2:10PM CST.

· I received a call about a week later from a CheapoAir representative informing me that AirTran Flt 123 had been canceled and I was now on Flt. 124 departing at 12:11PM EST from Atlanta. No change was indicated for the connecting AA flight out of DFW. At this time I requested a new itinerary and was told I would receive one. I never did.

· I sent two E-mails to CheapoAir.com requesting a new Itinerary to confirm this change if flight status.

· I finally received a reply from a manager named Maurice. – SEE E-mail traffic note below:

· I arrive at the airport only to find out that I had indeed been placed on Airtran Flight #124 and that #123 had indeed been canceled.

· I was now in a bind to make the connecting AA Flight out of DFW due to the change in terminal on arrival.

· To make matter worse the incoming Flt 124 was late on arrival – while this is no fault of CheapoAir- it could have be averted by my being properly informed so I could have made changes to the connecting flight from DFW.

· After a late departure from Atlanta I find that I’m still in the air when the connecting AA flight out of DFW departs Dallas.

· I contacted CheapoAir.com and all they could tell me was to quote “get a note from AirTran telling AA that their flight was late” so AA could get me on another flight immediately at no cost!

· Of course AirTran reps would not do that and when I approached the AA counter the rep informed me a note would not have done me any good. I was noted as a “No Show” by AA and I would have to buy another ticket for $240 if I wanted to leave DFW!

· No amount of conversation with CheapoAir served to resolve the situation – Fiona the CheapoAir rep kept telling me that her supervisor Maurice was telling her I had to get a note from AirTran.

· Needless to say their level of customer service leaves much to be desired – as I and those I’ve told this to will no use CheapoAir. All have used other internet sites without any problems.

· So a flight that ordinarily would have cost $420 now cost me $660.

People beware!!!
