further info
For the person who thought the company was out of business, please note the website is now CheapTripsMember.com. They are still in business, whatever comfort that may give. I was able to reach them using a phone number that another poster provided: 800-383-7667. Thank you for that, as no one answered the 800 number I had! Good luck, I hope you get something out of your "lifetime membership."

Not pleased at all
I was lured into the membership thinking that I could use my 4 free airlines tickets to take my three kids to visit family in California for Christmas this year. I signed up for the membership on September 25 which was a Friday, membership went into affect the following Monday, the 28th. It took them over a month to get my membership package out to me because it was sent to an old address they had on file for me but that was corrected during my enrollment over the phone. I immediately sent in the registration form for the vouchers and was told that it could take up to 3-4 weeks for them to send the vouchers back out. I still had hope that I would get tickets to travel for Christmas. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing, I called and was told that they have no record of receiving my reg. form and to call back, oh, and by the way I was supposed to send in the form at least 90 days before my expected travel date! Where is that in the new member packet? Oh, it's in the terms and conditions! It would have been nice to know this when I signed up, or at least in the new member info in bold letters! I'm tempted to cancel my membership, but I will just try to schedule the trip during the kids winter or spring breaks. Not pleased at all.

refusal of refund
I paid 108.00 for flight and vacation deals with a guaranteed refund if not satisfied. I have been trying to get my refund for 4 months. I returned all the materials in a timely manner, and have called the company at least 15 times to no avail. I want my money back.

refusal to refund three months
So, I’m not the only one.
Cheap “Tricks” is the lowest form of service I have ever been a party to. The operation must be run by lawyers because lawyers are the only kind of scum that get away with stealing and using the monies at their discretion. How can a business continue to operate the way they do and get away with it. I only invested my $109.00 because I’ve heard of the company before. Now, I have been waiting for my refund for almost three months and calling sometimes twice a day and every time I’m told that my money will be put back into my account within 16 business days. First their excuse was two pay cycles, now 16 business days. I was told that a supervisor would call back but to date that has never happened. I call to ask for a supervisor and it seems that all of the supervisors have the day off when I call. I have learned my lesson when it comes to purchasing anything via telemarketers. Cheap tricks give telemarketers a bad name, (as if they need any help).

Can not get my refund
Cheap trips is a rip off. I canceled around June 08 calling almost every day (Chris) manger put $55 back on my card and offered to send FREE airline tickets. This was done in DECEMBER after 6 months of calling, sending a regesterd letter to NJ The tickets was just
Another scam-I must send them $15 more to get the tickets.I then wrote e I would not be able to regester them.
I called today and Chris said he could not refund my money and was going to disconect on me .Needless to say I hung up on him. I am going to report this company to the Better Bussiness in NJ and call my local TV station, AARP also has a site to report the scams. Let us all do this and maybe we can get our hard earned money back. How about if we complain to our congresmen or higher up. Lets send complaints any where we can. Thanks to all who post the complaints.

Scam
Twice I have made the mistake of signing up for this company because of the promises they made on the phone. I have not made a successful flight yet
This company loads you down with information to process so you finally give up and they walk away with your money. The $100.00 rebate they promise is only on flights costing $750.00 or more. They don't tell you that. Then you have to produce 'confirmed reservation, itinerary, or ticket showing the price of covered travel, Boarding pass, Stamped self-addressed envelope' and all requests are subject to verification of information submitted.
This last phone call included a special deal for a friend that you pay for. If the friend refuses you get your money back but do you think that is going to happen? I admit, I was duped. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is too good to be true. They promise a 'real person' if you call their 1-800 number. I left a MESSAGE that I want my money back.
They also send a certificate that says: 'Gas savings for you!' Sounds good? If you want 'gas savings' you have to complete online applications for sample trials, products, goods, services and more. For EACH offer you complete you get a $10.00 'Gasoline Gift Certificate Check'. Here's another catch: you have to be a US resident (they sent this to me in Canada where I reside), you have to send them $15.00 US ('processing, postage and handling fee) this is where they make money on you. You pay them $15.00 to get a $10.00 rebate certificate. Does that make sense to you?
BEWARE!

Scam!
Cheap Trips took my money back in December and never refunded me, after I returned all of the information they sent me. It has been almost three months and they said that they have to still wait to see that I am not using the numbers and booking airline trips. I have tried to speak to the supervisor three times, and put off once, then he was not there on presidents day, I had an appointment, then he hung up on me today. Now I have to write the head super a letter to see if I can get anywhere.

Fraud and misleading information
II received a phone call from someone who identified themselves as Amy #1701 and she gave me a sales pitch about getting 4 free travel vouchers that could be used for travel within the U.S.
She said this was a special promotion and I would get the vouchers along with a special voucher for $100.00 is gas. I asked her several questions and she gave me examples of how the program worked. I asked her to call me back and Iwent on line to check the company out. They did have a website that pretty much said the same things she had told me. When she called me back, I thought it looked like a valid offer. She then told me that if I would be interested in acquiring two memberships, her supervisor in the background said they would give me the third membership. I should have known right then that it was not a valid offer. BUT she was so convencing that I told her to go ahead with the order. Now that I have received the paperwork, I I see the whole thing is fraud, lies and misrepresentation. I would like to hhelp keep someone else out of trouble.
