As annual members of Cheltenham Racecourse my wife and I pay an inclusive fee for all days of racing. We understand that when an occasional day is cancelled, we receive no refund on this payment.
For Saturday 13th December we paid an extra fee of £7.50 each for access to the main stand and adjoining bar and lounge. The racing was cancelled and the racecourse is now refusing to refund the £15 paid. They quote their "Terms and Conditions" indicating that no refund will be made. It is however clear that such terms of contract are legally uninforceable as it is without doubt an Unfair Term of Contract.
