2010 Chevy Camaro SS purchased November 13, 2009, stored it undercover all winter. It just turned 2, 800 miles (two thousand eight hundred miles)- 2, 000 of those miles are interstate driving with the remaining "around-town" driving. The clutch is slipping! I contacted two dealers (one my local dealer and the other the dealer where I bought the car) - they told me that they would have to take it a part to determine whether it was poor workmanship in the building of the car or some how my fault. Then I contacted Chevy Corp. and they said the same thing! My point is, it has 2, 800 miles on it, this is a muscle car and they are trying to make it my fault. How can a car that is advertised over and over in car magazines such as the July 2010 issue of Motor Trend and with that few miles have a clutch go? I am 40 years old and this is the first brand new car. I take extremely good care of it, and only my wife and I drive it.
I am apparently going to need to spend between $76 - $90 a hour for them to remove the transmission. If they say that they are not going to covering it, what am I supposed to do? Pick up my car with the transmission in the trunk of my BRAND NEW CAR or pay thousands of dollars to fix it at the dealer.
