My Chevy cruze eco is being advertised at 40mpg. I have been getting only 35mpg. Car has 5300 miles on it so it is broken in, This is in combination driving ( expressway, rural/city areas) My last car Toyota Corolla 2009 was getting 38mpg and my Hyndai Elantra 2001 was getting 36mpg for same type of driving style. Car has been in for recall and mileage problem was mentioned. Driving methods were discussed, and I was told the car computor is in charge of gas mileage. This car is being hyped to receive 42mpg on TV and radio. Why isn't my car doing better than my former cars?
Especially when gas mileage was it's main selling point.
Please advise on how to fix this problem or how to get out of my lease for a defective/ or misrepresented car.
Thank you.
