I purchased an Eken Apad that arrived with a factory defect. At the beginning they appeared willing to consider a claim, however they stopped answering my messages as soon as I intended to make use of my buyer protection from Paypal.
I rate them poorly as they evidently try to renege on their warranty statements. I am wondering how they get positive reviews from other customers. Maybe they are just inconsistent, but I suspect they may create false reviews to promote themselves.
Don't expect that Paypal's buyer protection is of great help as they derive their revenues from the seller. In my case, Paypal had me return the defective device at my cost and then closed the case without refund. Only after a lenghty and bureaucratic appeal after demonstrating that ChinaBuye was neglecting to receive the returned device, did I get my money back.
