In reference to policy MEPCO & Fidelis Extended Warranty Policy #USF29003915, purchaser is cancelling all future payments to MEPCO. This policy was sold and agreed upon as an "extended warranty" for his 2002 BMW X5 VIN#5UXFB33542LH37685.
To date automotive issues have needed to be addressed, however, US Fidelis is unwilling to follow through with the warranty as originally agreed upon between the Mr. Schauer and Jason Staley at US Fidelis. Mr. Schauer researched other insurance companies and made his determination based on promises made to him by US Fidelis and salesman Jason Staley. Unfortunately, Mr. Schauer was never informed of any "hidden" provisions of this policy that does not eliminate his policy for which he is paying for. The first issue arose on July 13, 2010 when the water pump needed to be replaced. Since July 13, 2010 Mr. Schauer has been contacting US Fidelis on a constant basis to find out when he will receive reimbursement for the water pump. To date, no return phone calls have been made from US Fidelis or its affiliates to Mr. Schauer. Today, another automotive issue has happened and still no willingness to follow through with US Fidelis's warranty contract. The Dr. Automotive Service contacted Courtney at US Fidelis who provided nothing but a run around, no answers and when the issue was escalated was advised under NO circumstances is Mr. Schauer going to be reimbursed for anything.
Moreover, US Fidelis or MEPCO the unwillingness to comply with documented policies but still withhold customer money and never had any intention of reimbursement since inception of 4/28/2009. Mr. Schauer has not been reimbursed for any claims since and has paid MEPCO a total of $1893.84. A copy of the water pump bill is listed below; the expense Mr. Schauer paid was $855.25 out of pocket for a warranty “covered” item. Mr. Schauer is requesting a refund of services paid $1893.84 and has not received or reimbursement by US Fidelis.
It clearly states water pumps are covered, however, when the enclosed bill was presented to US Fidelis who continued to request documentation from Mr. Schauer. To date NO returned phone calls or written responses from US Fidelis or any of its affiliates regarding any of the warranty policy issues. Today, 12/17/2010 Mr. Schauer called US Fidelis about another issue and was informed they were never going to reimburse him for any of the warranty issues. As a result of US Fidelis’s determination, Mr. Schauer will no longer pay for a warranty that will NEVER be honored. Since no reimbursement has been honored, respectfully request a refund of $1, 893.84 funds paid into a warranty that will NEVER be honored by US Fidelis.
Regards,
Robert Schauer
