This company says it does "not collect" donations ... "Instead, we have partnered with a marketing company, and the way we fund the ministry is by you taking the survey linked on our site and selecting any offers of interest to you. So, please take a look at those pages, and if you are interested in anything, please choose them. We also have a Christian Book Store and Ebook store. When you make purchases from these stores or from any banner on our site, you help our ministry." the company they partner with is paymentone.com which charges your phone bill on a monthly basis. Also, at its affiliated website Christianlivingministry.org they offer "wonder packages" for donations of $20-$50.
They say "A FREE membership in Christian Living Ministry offers... spiritual guidance and Christian advice ...on issues such as Careers, Finance, Family and more. IN FACT, they have a Disciple Club which charges $19.99 a month for membership every month after the free period.
Be careful, when checking out the site, you may unintentionally enroll and have charges applied to your phone bill. The site does not have you reconfirm your intentions to enroll and pay the monthly fee. Rather they say you "clicked" and enrolled and did not respond to an email they sent later. (I could not find the email from 6 months ago)
I Googled the site and saw other complaints and it made me wonder how many people don't notice it and how much money do they "not collect" in this manner. To be fair, the company did offer to refund my money for the six months the charges went unnoticed fter I complained. Still, if this is truly a Christian Ministry where PRAY is the operative word and not PREY, they should show it by changing the site to require a confirmation of intent to enroll and authorization to bill before doing so. And quit billing themselves as offering free material when the web content is so obviously focused on donations and membership fees.
